On the other, it is bigger than smaller greenhouses and supply centers. You'll get a good variety at any Hewitt's, but sometimes not the cheapest price. Their Garden and Holiday Decorating Club Card helps there ($25 credit for each $250 spent). My visit today was way too early for outdoor plants to be available, but they good sales on seeds and bulbs, and a lot of Easter decorations available. They always have great holiday decorations. Near that you'll find all the yard and garden supplies you need. When the weather warms up, you'll be able to choose from a wide variety of flowering and non-flowering plants, shrubs, trees, bushes, etc. I've also been able to find items here which have been harder to find in big-box plant departments. For example, today I found a uniquely sized clay flowerpot, a size and shape I had not found at any of the aforementioned big box plant departments. The staff is friendly and incredibly knowledgeable.

And remove one of the two overgrown birch trees near her driveway. Her place looks amazing now, and the sunlight really brightens it up. So, me being at home and nosey, I noticed: They were affordable (she had gotten five quotes and they were the best one) They were fast (the tree was down within an hour and cleaned up with the stump gone before noon) They were well prepared (they had competent people on well-maintained machinery that operated very efficiently) They were experienced (Scott, the owner, was on site with his team and had decades of experience) So, I was impressed and went over to ask them to quote me for the 4 large (80') unhealthy pine trees that were near my house. (My kids nicknamed them "nightmare trees" with their holes and diseased limbs and vines) Now. Tree service is expensive, but based on what I had seen happening for the last couple hours, it was obvious that it would be the best thing I would spend money on this year, so I asked if they were busy in the afternoon. So one guy came over, looked over the area and the trees, and we agreed to a price, which they said they'd take a discount in cash. Cool. They ground up the stump in my back yard (they didn't have to, but it was very kind of them) They gave me the wood chips (two piles taller than our minivan) I asked if they could help with some of the branches I had piled up in the back yard (the chipper I was using was doing poorly with them) and they really went above and beyond there as well. They cleaned up/raked up everything from the work that they did in a very efficient manner. They were gone before 4pm. The kids at home thought it was a great show from inside the house. These people didn't even stop for lunch. I was really surprised. I haven't seen people operate with that level of professionalism in a while, and I strongly recommend their services to anyone who needs tree work.

Ultimately we've got three trees from Bob's, and even though two of the trees had issues, the staff have been understanding and reasonable in working with us for a resolution. Bob's has a big stock and variety of trees and plants of various sizes, and the tranquil location makes for a pleasant day trip for a walk amongst potted plants and dug-up trees ready to go. Their brochure is helpful for looking up and browsing an updated selection of available trees for listed prices, and staff have been consistently friendly and helpful, and not surprisingly, very knowledgeable. I would recommend Bob's Trees without hesitation, and I hope they stay open and successful for a very long time.

They put down rubber mats, but they are not sufficient -- they may as well have put down Saran-wrap. Great tree removal, but a lot of unnecessary "collateral damage, " and they don't care.
