Some of the teachers were nice, but one of the teachers actually told me that my sons saw each other on the playground on different sides of a cyclone fence. They were running towards each other when she nabbed up my older son and told him he couldn't say "hi" to his little brother. When my son began to cry she asked him what his father would think of that. She told me all of this expecting me to be proud of how she handled my 3 year old. I was appauled. I found the facility to be grimy and the staff to just be doing their jobs. Not a lot of love there.

The staff also communicates very well with parents regarding daily reports, classroom activities, upcoming events, etc. The administration also goes above and beyond to provide an educational and positive environment for the families and children. I have had no concerns over my child's safety or well-being while attending the Ark. The staff all knew my child's name (even the ones who do not work in his class) within a week and greet him by name when we walk in. During the COVID shutdowns, the center was very flexible and showed exceptional willingness to with work families who were financially impacted. The teachers and staff at the Ark are exceptionally caring and compassionate. They are phenomenal teachers but also just amazing caregivers. If you are looking for a cold, institutional feeling childcare center, this is not the place for you. The Ark feels more like a family. I've watched several children, mine included, greet their teachers with hugs in the morning, and I've seen teachers brushing and braiding little girls' hair. Small details like that show me how much passion the teachers have for their jobs and love they have for the students. Academically, my child has excelled. He is excited about learning and has picked up some impressive social and emotional skills. The center itself is not fancy or state of the art, but it always smells clean (like soap) and they have excellent age appropriate books, toys, and supplies in each room. The only thing I can say that's less than positive is that the Ark routinely as a long waitlist, so if you are looking to join them, you may need to plan ahead by a few months.

They have great curriculum, lots of art, toys, reading, etc. Excellent in-school field trips such as police, fire, animals, clowns, pizza, etc. There is also an excellent hot lunch option that is inexpensive and healthy- and tasty from what I'm told.
