Zero would be a better rating. I made a reservation way in advance for a week over Thanksgiving. I paid $749.00. Due to Covid concerns I cancelled over a week in advance. I have spoken to two different employees since then, gave them my information, they checked, found all the details, put me on hold and returned telling me it was taken care of and I'd see the credit on my card. It has never happened. Now when I call it goes straight to voicemail where I leave a message but still ( it's February) no return calls or return of money. read more

Reached out to Peyton for a golf cart rental and he was supposed to call us back and drop off our cart on Monday 8/5 he never did either one. Our friends got one from him and it was supposed to be a 6 seater he dropped off a 4 seater and said the next day he would bring a larger one, he didn't. The next day he brought an additional 4 seater crappy golf cart, so they could legally fit all their kids they had to drive separately. I wouldn't recommend this place, the prices might be cheaper but you get what you pay for. If your going for cheap check out top deck on 11th street. read more

Had an amazing time renting out a golf cart from here, good prices and not far from any shops or the beach. Didn't catch the name of the man who helped us out but he was very friendly and got us driving in no time...only issues were, 1. The website isn't up to date so if youre expected that they do a drop off and pick up, well they actually don't you gotta do it all, 2. The lady who works the snow cone stand next door is very rude, very impatient, I don't know what her issue was but if I'm paying $100 extra dollars for another day I don't expect sarcasm, attitude, or dirty looks the whole time you're "helping" me. 3. It takes 3-5 phone calls for them to pick up the phone, out of the 3 occasions I did have to only once did they answer on the first call. I rented a golf cart from this location yesterday, great day on the cart. I woke up this morning because I noticed 2 charges on my debit card. I called the location , the owner was very rude and said nobody took your money it was just an authorization, I let him know that I wasn't told that yesterday when I rented so I was just a little surprised to have had 2 charges this morning. I will not take my business back to this location, as I paid $150 for the day because that was my only option and how rude the owner was this morning. read more

A negative -10 is what I'd like to give this place. He was rude and unprofessional and tried to blame us when the cart wouldn't start shortly after leaving. His carts have no radios, no blinkers and he didn't disclose this information until after we already paid. read more

Everything was fine for a monthly rental. Go by to have it checked every week. He said everything was fine. Then no one was there for dropoff and we were leaving town. Left the key in their drop box, took pictures of the cart on all sides. 4 days later they processed a $196 to our card for no reason. Never even reached out to us there was any problem. Guess that's why no one was there for our dropoff date. Ripoff! We have been renting carts a lot of years and NEVER had a problem! read more

Best golf cart rental in Port A! Great customer service! This will always be my go to golf cart rental in Port A.

We live here in Port Aransas full time. We rented a 6 seater golf cart so my husband and I could drive it with our company. When we returned the golf cart, that had primarily been parked at our home. The owner said we had wrecked it. He charged our card $300! He said the entire front end had to be replaced. And that he could not rent the cart out in its current shape. The very same day, we drove back by his carts and that golf cart was washed off, ready and in line to be rented. We told him we did not wreck this golf cart. He said " well someone did and it's $300 to replace the entire front end". There was not visible damage. We pulled security footage from our home and the " damage" was already on the cart. So minimal that we never even noticed it! The owner is supposed to do a pre trip inspection and did not. So we got stuck with a $300 bill for minuscule damage by someone who rented the cart before us. We are going to fight this. This is not right. If you rent from him, you better take pictures, a lot of them of the cart before you drive off of the lot! read more

BEWARE: Peyton requires that you sign a contract agreeing to take care of any damages etc. that may occur, which would be fine; however, once you return the cart, he claims "damages" that do not exist. He charged nearly $1000 to my card claiming damages and could show NO pictures of the so called damages and only provided an invoice to my credit card company (when I disputed) that was handwritten by him. It's funny how nobody said a word about any damages when the cart was returned...I think one would notice $1000 worth of damages. Tried calling him to resolve the issue but he won't answer the phone, text messages or emails. read more

Reserved a 6 seater golf cart from peytons, was supposed to be delivered to the beach house we were staying at. After numerous phone calls and no answer. I had to drive to their location, the gentleman working there told me the owner was a no-show, and that he didn't know about my reservation. But they did have one available. Not only did this waste my time and have my family wait over a hour for me to return to start our day, the golf cart was junk. The tires were completely bald on the back, it had no power, could barely drive it on the beach. Would not recommend peytons to anyone. Rent your carts from Jackfish, much nicer carts and way more courteous employees. read more
