Our Lady of Penafrancia is the patroness of the entire Bicol region. So, just by looking at their name, this bus company is a true Bicolano liner. They carry passengers mainly along the Manila-Naga-Legazpi route. But they also offer charter services.
Their headquarters is in Naga City, but in Metro Manila they have a garage in New York Street, Cubao. Passenger pick-up stations in the big city are in their terminal along Edsa in Cubao (near the MRT-Cubao station), Araneta Center Bus Terminal (behind Shopwise, also in Cubao), and Alabang in Muntinlupa.
Penafrancia Tours has different types of buses in its fleet. The regular air-conditioned bus (seats 45) has a 2x2 seating configuration, meaning two passengers sit next to each other on each side of the aisle. The Royale Class (seats 40) has the same configuration as the ordinary, except this class comes with an onboard restroom, plus two TV screens.
The Benz buses are the pride of Penafrancia Tours. Made by Mercedes-Benz, these luxury buses all have two TV screens and are classified into three. The Benz-Solo (seats 32) has a 1x1x1 seating configuration, meaning no passenger sits next to another as the bus has two aisles. The last two types are the Benz-Deluxe (seats 25) and the Benz-Elite (seats 21). Both classes have 2x1 seating configuration, but they have plush leather seats and onboard restrooms.
The standard air-conditioned bus fare to Naga is around PHP 750.00. The Deluxe services are priced at PHP 1,000.00, while the Benz-Elite fare go for PHP 1,110.00.
Penafrancia Tours offers limited bus stopovers during the trip. Plus, their partner cafeterias are relatively clean. read more
