FOOD & DRINKS This restaurant puts a little twist on some…read morevery common fast food items and elevate them with quality and imagination. There are hot dogs and burgers with all sorts of toppings. Regular sandwiches, salads, pancakes, other breakfast items and a few more options to pick from. Good news for vegan and vegetarian eaters as well. Almost everything on their menu can be served with a meat and cheese substitute. I picked one of their PANdemic specials. The summer dog. The organic sausage wrapped around toasted flatbread was juicy. The most dominant flavor came from the cherry tomato comfit. Everything else was very settle. The salad unfortunately was drenched in its dressing and completely lost its crunch. The flatbread to me wasn't toasted long enough. Overall the taste was still very pleasant. SERVICE I have read some reviews before I went here and a lot of reviews pointed out the excellent service. Well, I can only agree. The service is outstanding. The waitress I had during my visit was very friendly, attentive and on top super cute and attractive. ATMOSPHERE The interior design alone is worth coming here for. Usually a lot of the new places go for the more industrial look. Very sleek and modern. This one is very old fashioned but in a stylish way. There are so many details to enjoy. It felt like stepping back in time. Sit, relax, enjoy your food and a wonderful service. RATING In my opinion only the execution of the food had some minor issues. Everything else was just above and beyond. PANtastic!

This place specializes in onomiyaki (Japanese pancakes) and some soba dishes. I came by for lunch…read moreand was surprised to find that the atmosphere was pretty bustling. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside is decorated with old Japanese newspapers on the walls, dark wood tables, lanterns, etc. To the food. The onomiyaki did not appeal to me because they're kinda covered in mayo, which is a deal breaker for me. I was also somewhat shocked at the prices - 16.50 EUR for a fried pancake seems like too much! I went with yaki soba noodles with pork for a more reasonable 10 EUR. I wish I liked the noodles more, but they were just alright. After I ate most of them, I could see pools of oil left over. I have a pretty high tolerance for oiliness (vs. my zero tolerance mayo policy!), but even this was pushing it. Plus, for a couple Euros more, you could go to Soba An across the street & eat perfect handmade soba. Even though the food was only OK, other factors added to the experience. The service was speedy & they brought an individual carafe of iced tap water (!!), miso soup, side salad, green tea and seasonings. Also, the presentation was thoughtful and I appreciated the little design details. If I could give it 3.5 stars I would, but instead I'll round up. In the end, I'd come back because it's a cool place and a nice addition to Dusseldorf's Japanese district.
