Pflugerville is a very nice place to find great driver's education! Liz the manager really cares about her students and shows it. She always brings snacks to students and is very patient and attentive when providing drive times unlike other instructors in other schools. They also use an online registration and drive time scheduling system which makes behind the wheel driving easy to coordinate. I would definitely recommend Pflugerville Driving School over the nearby driving schools after looking at the horror stories on their reviews. read more

This driving school offers same day behind the wheel testing! Due to my hectic work schedule and my daughter's unending extra curricular activities, the availability of same day testing was a win for us. The instructor that helped us was very nice and informative. She explained the process and was very thorough with the steps we needed to follow. She was patient and took her time to make sure my daughter was comfortable and ready to test. During testing a few points were deducted but my daughter ended up passing! The instructor explained the points that were deducted, and the importance of each. All in all, I was impressed and satisfied. This driving school is awesome. I had an appointment for road test with DPS but my brake light was out, so I couldn't do the test and the next available appointment is in 5 weeks. I couldn't wait that long. I called Pflugerville driving school to see if they can let me do the road test with them. And YES! They do same day road test. And it is located very close to Pflugerville DPS. I was very happy with the service they provided. My experience with Liz (owner) was great. She was very nice and told me everything I needed to know step by step before hitting the road. I was in kind of a rush to get my driver's license. I had very little experience driving and to be quite honest, driving in Texas is daunting. I explained my situation to Liz (who runs the school) and she was more than accommodating and we had a bunch of classes lined up. She did warn me that I will have to put in a lot of my own legwork because I was in such a rush. That made sense and I just practiced every single day after that. She told me that she was leaving town and had to schedule a lesson before she left and thankfully, I was able to make it! She made me drive on Wells Branch Parkway and in the neighborhood in Pflugerville and even took me to the DPS to teach me to parallel park. The basic technique that she taught me that day will remain with me all my life. That parallel parking is not a big deal at all is the biggest lesson she gave me. I was not intimidated by it during my test at all. She made me feel like driving itself is a very simple skill to master, even if I thought it was quite scary. Liz is quite awesome! She will learn everything about her students so that she can use their story to motivate them to be a better driver. For example, I have a baby at home and she kept gently reminding me to drive safely so that I can go home safe to my baby. This may not work for everyone, but it sure did motivate me. I wasn't nervous, I just wanted to do better and drive safe so I could go home safe. She is firm with her teachings and very patient. She may come off as a strict teacher but we all need a firm hand when learning to drive on the big bad roads of Texas. I should add that I wasn't able to take all my scheduled classes because Liz had some personal business on her end that she had to take care of, plus I was in a rush to get my license. She was very sweet and issued me a refund for the classes I couldn't take. But whatever Liz taught me, it was good enough for me to pass my behind the wheel test in my first attempt. I got a same day driving test which was awesome. I called the other three companies that were on the DPS' list and this was the only one that did same day tests. Helen was super nice and made the experience painless. Their office is located 7 min from the Pflugerville DPS mega center, so I made an appointment online for after my driving test and a few minutes later walked out with my TX license. Way better than waiting 6-8 weeks for a driving test at the DPS and well worth $150. read more

We had a mix-up with the paperwork and she made time for us to return at the end of the day to conduct the test. I do NOT recommend this school. The front desk woman I believe her name is Diana who today lied to me saying she was the owner ( I know she is NOT the owner) tried to charge me extra money for each kid for her incompetent work. She is very rude. She always says she is going to call me back and doesn't do it. Every time I ask her to have the owner call me to discuss my problems with her, she does not tell her because the owner has not called me. Today she told me she is the big boss/ the owner as if that is suppose to intimidate me. I payed 1025.00 for her to not want to schedule my kids every time I call she has an excuse and now wants more money. I called last week she said "I will call you" that never happened so today I called and she said she never has to call parents the parents have to call her so why does she tell me she will call me to schedule but does not? Pros and cons: Scheduled a road test for my son because this company is an approved third-party by DPS. The Cons - the business is in a shopping center. Hard to find. The parallel parking portion of the road test was administered in the shopping center parking lot using the upright poles along side the tiny, stand-alone ice-shed building in the shopping center parking lot. Hard to describe but suffice to say, difficult for a new driver to adjust to. Rest of road test was administered on public roads in the area; some were quiet side streets, some were busy thoroughfares. Scheduling the test at the DPS site in Pflugerville would be a much more comfortable experience for the new driver. The owner failed my son for "rolling" through a intersection (which he says is debatable) and she immediately offered to retest him for an additional fee. I felt suspicious when I was instructed to wait in the office and not join them in the car. I believe DPS will let you ride along. The Pros - we paid the additional fee. He retook the test and passed. Whether or not the retake charge was valid, we saved a ton of time not going through DPS and their on line scheduler. The owner is very pleasant and gives good, clear feedback to the new driver. Be warned, your new driver should be prepared for not-your-average road test. read more

Excellent customer service. My nephew took his driving test yesterday and passed. The exam was fair and educational for him. He is 21 and felt like he was an excellent driver, but the test humbled him. Understanding that young drivers truly require time behind the wheel to understand completely what instructors are teaching them, the school sits down with the young driver after the exam and walks through each area of concern as well what positives they accomplished. After dealing with many frustrations trying to get a time for my son's driving test at DMV, I was lucky enough to find Liz and Pflugerville Driving School. I called around 7:00 pm one evening and received a call back from her the very next morning at 8:00 am. She was able to immediately schedule the test and was very thorough letting us know exactly what documents we needed to bring with us. Once there, we were greeted by Liz who is not only very professional, but extremely kind and patient. She immediately put my son at ease which really helps for new young drivers. Okay, one month later and I and revising my review. The owner is the actual instructor and does work hard to get the students scheduled. From what I can tell, it's hard to hire good help these days and driving school instructors are included. Liz, the owner did respond to my final call and we got my son through the required drives and observations in less than a month. It was difficult and there were some last minute notices but she did it to get him in and done. A couple of notes... *You will have to work on her schedule. She is doing most of the instructing herself and she puts in a lot of hours so whenever she offers a slot, take it. *My son said that she was stern. However, when I asked him to explain the issues he had they seemed to be more like very direct instructions. I told him she's a driving instructor, not a YMCA babysitter, and that any instruction she gives, he should take. *Be on time. One session we were there two minutes after the start time and she was walking across the parking lot to get in the car and go. She's by the book on drive time and has to keep a tight schedule to get everyone their hours so minutes count. Overall, I'm sure there are better schools out there but from what I can tell they are few and far between. Liz finally came through for us and delivered on her commitment. If she can get some good help she should be able to pull more stars. read more

I went here when I was in a rush to get my drivers license! she is very nice, was able to get my license that day after taking the test with her since I am 18 and did other requirements, if you're in a hurry to get your things done she could be the answer. I failed the first time and my tip is to read the signs even when turning and she is a good woman who will work with you. She even let me re take the test that day with a fee but honestly if you are looking for fast and kind she was those things. Best of luck read more

Do not send your children or loved ones to this driving school. They took our money and changed the class times to drive several times and claimed that we weren't there and wanted to charge us $50 for missing a class WHICH NEVER HAPPENED. There is a total complete lack of communication between the administrators of that school and the teachers. I can't really even select a star because they are so bad. Pflugerville Driving school is the worse school that i have never seen in my life. The class are always late or the schedule change all the time without a week notice. So difficult to call Liz ( the lady who manage this Driving school). She is never there, or when she give a driving schedule she did not show up or she came 30 minutes late. She called me one and wanted to charge me $ 50 fee because my son did not show up at the driving class day. First we did not call her and schedule the driving class at this day. Se-condo she is the one who never respect the schedule should she pay me back the penalty ?????? for all the no show or showing up late ? She told to my son that he needs to know how to drive before he can drive with her. Could you tell me why should I pay a driving school to teach my son how to drive if I need to teach him myself. Wasn't happy with the service. It was highly recommended. But I will not be going back. I had to call, to make Drive time. Lady was upset because I was upset with her and became rude to me. Don't go here. Just don't. It's a racket, and they're arbitrary and rude. My son went here to take his driving test. Problem 1): the instructor (Liz, the owner) failed him. Why? Because as he was making a right turn (he had the right-of-way), he paused because an oncoming car appeared like it might not yield. Once he confirmed that it was yielding, he proceeded. She failed him, saying that his pause was "unsafe driving." But she was sure to tell him that he could take the test again for another $50. Problem 2): after saying "nope, we'll take the test somewhere else," they wouldn't return our ORIGINAL paperwork (which we need for the DPS process). I had to go there myself on Saturday morning to get our documents. And as a bonus, as I left, there was a woman in a car in the parking lot crying her eyes out because Liz had just failed her. I'm sure for a similar BS reason just to force her to spend another $50. Oh, and the boy left and immediately went to a competitor, where he not only easily passed, the instructor went out of his way to tell us "he's a really good and safe driver." Don't go here. This is the most unprofessional and disorganized driving school I have ever seen!! Liz, the owner, doesn't even have the information about students on computers, she writes information on little pieces of paper that she can't keep up with. They were happy to take my money to teach my daughter to drive but when it came to classroom learning, they would turn on YouTube videos and then go outside and talk on the phone. When the video was over, it would roll over to the next video which wasn't always age appropriate and had nothing to do with learning to drive. When it came to actual drive time, you have to call to schedule the drive time and are ALWAYS told they will call you back. They may or may not get you on the schedule, you are at the mercy of whether or not they can find the piece of paper they wrote the note on with your name and phone number. It's been two weeks now and we still haven't received a phone call back. I called again today and was told that when they get her on the schedule, they will call me back. At this point, I don't expect to hear from them again and am filing a complaint with the state. Even the two times my daughter did get drive time, the driver talked to her about inappropriate things and another parent had shown up at the time they were given so their child could drive and no one was there to drive with him. They waited an hour. Ironic since Liz charges $50 if you're late but there's no consequences if she's late or a no show. I DON'T RECOMMEND!!!!! read more

*****STAY AWAY***** I have had an exceptionally poor experience with this school. CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!! Liz will make you thinks she is concerned about the children and getting them to be licensed drivers. Nope that is not the case. All she wants is your money. It is going on a year and my son still doesn't have his license. Here are a few issues you will experience with this school. 1. Slow, poor and inaccurate communication in regards to my son's driving status and scheduling needs to complete the program. 2. Inaccurate record keeping between Liz and driving instructors is very poor as she often did not have the details accurate. 3. Liz forgets or is very slow in returning phone calls it takes over 48 hours for her to return calls. 4. My son has been unable to use the web scheduling since before Christmas break and it's still not available to use. 5. There was a period of time between January thru February were Liz consistently communicated her driving instructors were sick and she had no back up drivers. She doesn't have enough staffing. 6. Rude and avoidance behavior when confronted about the poor quality of customer service with constant replies of I don't know and have to get back to you. 7. Driving instructors were routinely 10-40 minutes late at times as I made sure my son was on time. We would show up to our scheduled appointment and no one was at the school. Had to reschedule which was inconvenience to me. I plan on reporting this school to the TEA, BBB and City of Pflugerville. read more
