I did 3 food stations with hors d'oeuvres. The hors d'oeuvres were served for 1 hr before the food stations and were a great hit. We did 6 different appetizers and they were all amazing with great presentation. This is a great caterer with a great price. They worked with me, understood my guests, my needs and made sure everything was perfect. We had food dishes for vegetarians and gluten free. Whatever I needed was done for me. My husband is from Louisiana and I wanted the dishes to incorporate his culture, Per Se, worked with me and made sure we had the best spread for the wedding day. Everything was flawless from the food to the presentation to the servers. On time with exactly how I planned it, they are well organized. It is had to cook for over 150 people and have the food taste so good. Per Se delivered the most delicious spread for over 150 people with everyone being full and happy!

My Husband and I wanted a unique menu, a unique informal dining experience and we had a small budget. A lot of catering companies scoff at small budgets. They don't even want the business it would seem. But Jackie Morton at Feast Your Eyes treated us like our budget was something that could be easily worked with (which was not the attitude we had been faced with anywhere else we obtained quotes) and was laid back, flexible and calming. Having a calming presence is so important when you're working with brides-to-be, especially those on a smaller budget, because everything is stressful to begin with. You know what you want, you know how much you can spend and you want to meet both of those needs simultaneously. We ended up with exactly what we wanted. We had an amazing, decadent menu sampling experience which we both left in a rich, food-induced coma and were in no way stressed about hidden costs (because there were none) or the bill at the end of the day. Their website details all of the menus they offer with colourful photos and the actual presentation of the foods does not let you down. If I ever have another large-scale event, I will definitely use them. To all those Torontonians planning events, don't be afraid to use a lesser-known caterer. I was really impressed with the dishes that they had on their dinner menu. These were typical dishes that my mom would make like steamed minced pork with mui choy (preserved sweet mustard greens--salty vegetables). This was by far the best steamed pork I've ever had! I just need a bowl of steamed rice with it and I'm totally satisfied! We got their 4 dish combo for $59.99 and 10% off in cash which is quite reasonable and the combo includes traditional Chinese soup. The other dishes were just as good. One of which was the pork chop with peking sauce that was perfectly done...the sauce was not too overpowering and pork chop was so juicy. Friday night takeout is usually sushi but now it's going to be Chinese food from Longevity!

Regular looking but delicious dim sum at reasonable prices are served at Longevity. The place totally gives off that 90s Cantonese restaurant vibe with the disposable white table clothes; there's nothing fancy going on here. And did I mention they serve dim sum all day (and night)? It's pretty hard to find a place like this anymore around the GTA. I've never sat in to eat here, but I have ordered takeout dim sum 10+ times. There's nothing I've ordered that disappointed me from congee to deep fried items to steamed dim sums to desserts. I'd be writing a thesis paper here if I have to go through all of them in detail. My personal favorites are their deep fried dumplings 鹹水角, deep fried squid tentacles, Chiu Chou dumplings, steamed bean curd sheet rolls and the golden runny (in typical Chinese restaurant fashion, they goofed on the grammar and spelling and called it the running egg yolk bun, which sounds a bit scary if you ask me). I can say with certainty that the quality of dim sum here rivals if not supersedes most expensive Cantonese restaurants in the GTA. Don't be fooled by the fact that it's a smallish, non-descript restaurant hidden in a Richmond Hill strip plaza. Longevity Catering deserves your attention!
