Warning: Beware of a condescending, unprofessional, and greedy individual masquerading as a dentist! After suffering from a botched veneer job by a previous dentist, I researched extensively and chose Dr. Ajmo, hoping he would rectify the mess. Despite the majority of reviews being positive, there were several alarming negative ones. Unfortunately, I was in a dire situation and needed an immediate fix due to the discomfort caused by the initial job. The staff were accommodating, providing two initial complimentary consultations and x-rays, ensuring my comfort throughout. When I decided to proceed, I was quoted a staggering 'discounted' rate of $39,995 for just the upper veneers. I was assured of Dr. Ajmo's expertise, with claims that many sought his services for rectifying previous dental mishaps. They emphasized his proficiency in sedation, promising a pain-free procedure. When I inquired about the cost of the IV sedation included in my total quote, I was vaguely told it might be 'a couple of thousand.' Prompted by this, I requested a detailed breakdown and was shocked to discover the sedation alone was priced at approximately $14,000. After firmly refusing the IV sedation, I was initially told that Dr. Ajmo would not proceed with the procedure unless I agreed to be sedated. Eventually, after persistent negotiation, they conceded to let me use prescribed sleeping pills instead, assuring me it would achieve the same effect -- at a cost of $5.The initial procedure involved removing my problematic veneers and fitting temporaries, with plans for permanent ones to be crafted by a lab within a couple of weeks. Eagerly, I attended a subsequent 'design' appointment, where I was promised full control over the design of my new teeth. However, Dr. Ajmo's demeanor had changed drastically. He repeatedly called me 'Honey' in a condescending manner, accused me of being a 'control freak,' and suggested I trusted no one. Despite this, his staff continued to praise his 'keen eye for detail,' assuring me I would be pleased with the outcome and encouraging me to trust him. A week later, I arrived for the installation of the permanent veneers, having taken only one sleeping pill. Dr. Ajmo was visibly agitated that I was not fully sedated, and he repeatedly tapped on my chin to adjust my head position. Despite my cooperation, he administered a series of painful injections to numb me, which I had explicitly stated I did not want. After completing the procedure, he left the room abruptly. Initially, I was too numb to assess the fit of my new teeth. However, once the swelling subsided, I was deeply disappointed with the results. The veneers did not resemble the reference photo I had provided, and there were noticeable gaps that I had requested to be corrected from the temporary stage. The following week, during an appointment to clean the excess cement, I was asked about my satisfaction with the procedure. I expressed my disappointment and questioned if this outcome was truly representative of Dr. Ajmo's best work. With noticeable pride, he affirmed it was excellent, confidently stating this without even examining my mouth directly--his judgment was solely based on the photographs. When I began to specify the areas of dissatisfaction, Dr. Ajmo's demeanor shifted dramatically. He quickly became enraged, abruptly declaring that he was done with me and would not redo the work. Despite my assurance that I would not undergo the procedure a third time even if offered, his anger intensified. He stated he would not proceed with the planned treatment on my lower teeth and demanded that I leave immediately. The staff stood by, speechless. I very seldom write reviews unless I strongly believe that one should be given. Dr Ajmo is by far the best dentist I have ever been to. I first met Dr. Ajmo a few weeks ago when I needed an emergency visit due to extreme pain. Luckily for me he was doing volunteer work and squeezed me in. if that says anything about his character. He was very gentle and quick while working on my tooth, leaving me pain free. I knew then that he would be my permanent dentist. I've had issues after issues with my teeth and have seen dentist's all over the country due to being involved with the military. With that comes the problem of finding a dentist who not only knows what they are doing, but who you also feel comfortable with. I've had a few not so pleasant experiences with dentist's and have never felt 100% comfortable with one until I was seen by Dr. Jay Ajmo I made another appointment to speak to him about treatment, where he then gave me his undivided attention to discuss my concerns and explained in complete detail how he would proceed, until all of my issues and questions were answered while never feeling rushed. He is blunt, which I love, has great bedside manner, and he is professional but hilarious and kept me laughing during my entire appointment. I gave him free reign to do whatever he feels necessary, no questions asked. To say that alone is huge, for me. I've never 100% trusted or felt comfortable with any dentist. He was as gentle and careful this time around while working on my teeth as he was the first time. I would not and do not believe any of the negative reviews made regarding him, as my husband and I have nothing but superb things to say. Also, his team is the most loving,care people I've ever met at a dentist ! I love them! Everyone there is very friendly and the office is sparkling clean. The prices are more than fair for the perfection of what's to be expected, especially for the quality of treatment you receive and being in Palm Beach Gardens. Don't believe any negative review's. After I had my first child I started having problems with my teeth going to the dentist was the most stressful and agonizing experience of the world for me. Such was the panic I felt that little by little I was neglecting my teeth to avoid going to the dentist. I have visited a number of dentists in my life, none of which I enjoyed seeing. I've had bad teeth all my life, frequently suffering with dental infections, cavities & bleeding gums. My teeth were so unattractive, I was embarrassed to smile. My neighbor referred me to Dr Ajmo at PGA Dentistry. I have to say even though I never liked dentists, I really liked him. He was really compassionate & his staff was wonderful. His office doesn't really feel, look or smell like a dental office, but more like a relaxing spa. I felt more comfortable there than any othet office I's been to in the past. Because I've been so fearful, I wanted IV sedation. I Had my dental cleaning done today. Once again, Patricia was excellent!  I am never disappointed at PGA Dentistry.
