We stopped by to try kava for the first time after hearing about alcohol-free drinks with a relaxing effect. The manager was super friendly and knowledgeable, which made it easy for us to choose. The setup was a bit different than expected--more grab-and-go with pre-bottled drinks instead of made-to-order--but it worked out just fine. We went with the Euphoria and Zero Proof, and both were really enjoyable. Two bottles came out to about $25, which felt fair for something new and unique. It would've been helpful to see prices on the menu, but overall, it was a great first visit. We'd definitely come back to try more! read more

This place looks like a pristine spa, super clean, inviting and clear space. Loved it! Very cool that they offer free drinks to new customers. It was my first time trying this time of herbal concoction and choose the one to boost your energy and I was very euphoric after...so it must have something good in it! I heard about the kava plant thru social media. I was curious to try it out especially since there's a bar in my neighborhood. I'm accustomed to drinking herbal bitter teas so I knew I would drink these drinks straight up (w/o the flavored syrup)...I love au naturelle. Because I was the only customer, the service was quick but wished she thoroughly explained everything to me. I took my mom here the other night, she's a huge kava fan. we got our drinks and left to go walk around the area and shop. once she finished her drink 15 minutes later, she told me that she was starting to get a headache. I told her that maybe she just needs some food so we went out to go eat and she sat down to eat and then started feeling a lot worse and had to run to the bathroom because she thought she was going to throw up. I had to take her home and she had heart palpitations, she was itchy and sweaty, and she barely slept that night. she woke up the next morning feeling absolutely horrible. we called and asked a few questions and they were very vague and almost defensive about the whole experience. whatever is in these drinks is sketchy and they need to be a lot more clear about their ingredients. I will never be coming back here. read more

I absolutely used to love this location. I've been a frequent customer since they opened but I'm guessing they are under new ownership. the first thing that was changed was that the new ownership removed all of the chairs at the bar so there was nowhere to sit, this took away the social aspect which I thought was a strange move on their part. I have never seen anything discontinued or out of stock before and now when you look at the menu board it's covered in both announcements which is not only a bummer but also is as tacky as the removal of the chair. and the worst part of the new ownership is the fact that they took away all of the VIP/ member rewards!!!! typically a business will add rewards to generate more business and more regular clientele, but instead they did the opposite and took away all the things that would entice someone to go there rather than somewhere else. What used to be one of my favorite mid day pitstops is now just somewhere I'll just drive past. big bummer because it used to be great. The previous owner and or management held fun little events during the holidays and ran specials that would bring people in and now when you go it's often empty read more

Kratom has been really helpful to me for a while, and I didn't realize that this place was under my nose in Carlsbad. All of the people who have helped me out are so patient and helpful.
