I'm writing to express my concern about the declining quality of customer service and product availability at your Oceanside location. Based on a discussion with the Oceanside store manager, who shared that corporate does not provide supply chain information to managers on types of products that are shipped, building tension between staff and customers. Poor logistics! This lack of transparency impacts both staff and customers, leading to frustration and lost sales. I've actually only purchased a few vegan snacks. I've tried to order vitamins to have them picked up in the store but those apparently could not be fulfilled. More recently, I discovered they sell kombucha on tap and ice cream! They have a ton of Halo Top but none of the non-dairy varieties except for Nada Moo. Nada Moo ice cream is fantastic by the way! They informed me that they plan to get the non-dairy Halo Top soon, which I would love to try. Staff was very nice and filled my growler with my choice of kombucha. I even got to sample the kombucha and ice cream! Yum! We'll probably be back for kombucha and ice cream, haha. read more

Pretty sure this store is fired. I spend thousands of dollars at this store every year. Used to walk in and know everyone and they would recognize me and know I had an order to pick up and In most instances would make additional purchases when I dropped in to pick up my order. Now, no greeting, no can I help you find anything, and snotty disposition when I inquired about a product in my order that had a package update. I do not pay for people to be rude to me. Absolutely LOVE this place! I have quickly become a regular customer. I am a trainer and after having my second child, I wanted to get back into training hard to eventually compete again and this store has EVERYTHING I need PLUS the manager is awesome. The entire staff is great but she really went out of her way for me to help find a mix of the supplements I needed, even things I would have never thought to buy. She remembers you when you come in as well. They treat you like family and you can tell they really care about your well being. Love this store. read more

This Vitamin Shoppe in Oceanside is larger than other VS stores. It looks well organized, and I like the displays they have set up. I would have given them 4 stars, but customer service was mixed. An employee named Pando was very friendly, but the other guy working on the evening of 5/19/21 was not helpful at all. Pando was busy checking people out, greeting people, and running around helping people, while the other guy just completely ignored me. I waited for help and Pando came over to check me out at the register. The other guy had been at the register but when he saw us heading there he walked away and ignored us, then went to help the people that Pando was already helping. I needed to special order something, and Pando was kindly helping me with that, and then there were three people waiting in line to be checked out. Now the other guy should have come and opened up another register and checked people out, but he didn't. So Pando was doing all the work and I had to wait for Pando to check three people out , people who had gotten there after me. He apologized profusely, and I really appreciated his help, but I didn't like how the other guy just ignored me and wouldn't help the flow. A bad employee can have a negative effect on a business, this is an example of this. read more

Every time I've come in the staff has been on hand to answer any questions I have had or offer up personal experience with the products. They have an array of goodies, from a' la natural organic choices to maybe not so organic selections....that being said! You'll most likely find what you need here. They carry a ton of protein powders too, as well as mixing bottles with the little metal shaker inside to break up the chunks, um yay cuz that crap is gross. I fully acknowledge that I am a novice when it comes to supplements or alternative meds, but the folks at the vitamin Shoppe always go out of their way to help answer my questions and to give advice based on whatever I'm looking for which I appreciate. The store is organized well and the prices are comparable to other related stores that I've checked out. I love the location as parking is close by (sometimes closer, sometime further, but there is always parking) and I can stop to get whatever it is I'm looking for while running my errands. I had a horrible experience at the vitamin shoppe and honestly don't know where to start with this. I was looking for the witches brew Alani nu drink(caramel apple) and called here, was told they had a case, and would hold it for me for pick up. So I drove an HOUR to come pick up. When I got here they told me they could not sell it to me because it's not the official launch date. I even asked before coming there if they could sell it and the guy said yes. Not one of the employees seemed like they cared at all and the one that told me that I could come get it said "we have other stuff". I called for that one item and that was all, i wouldn't of come here if I could not get it. I wasted an entire Friday and gas driving there and back. won't be shopping there again because I've never had customer service like this before. If I could give 0 stars I would. read more

I find the customer service at this particular branch very hit and miss. I can go in one day, and staff will give me a friendly greeting and assist me. On other days, like very recently, staff will ignore me as I walk in (while cheerily greeting other customers), and continue to treat me like some diseased leper as I bring my items to the counter for checkout. Come on guys, it's not that hard to be consistent in greeting EVERY single customer that goes into your store, and treat them with respect. read more

The Young man and Young lady when we arrived at the store were unbelievably helpful and knowledgeable, taking time to explain the product and answering our questions. Went here other day with husband. He had a lot of questions about protein and what to take. The guy who helped us was the manager I believe. He was very knowledgable and super nice. I liked how he didn't try to get us to buy things because he could have easily done the whole sales tactic like tell my husband what he's currently using is bad. But he didn't. Instead, he helped us save money and gave us a lot of information about certain workouts and told us A LOT of information on products that were very helpful. I ignored this place for a long time thinking it was another GNC and I'm sorry I did! After looking at their inventory online I saw they had just what I've been looking for! They have a nice selection of essential oils and natural vitamins, but of course they also have many protein powders, supplements, pre-workouts, etc. The people who work here are very nice and informative, they helped me find the last thing on my list quickly even though the store is pretty easy to navigate. Its clean, organized, fair pricing, and really easy to find (its across the street from Trader Joes). I will be back, now that I find a store that has what I need its time to start hoarding. read more

Long time customer of this company. I've been going to this particular location for 4 years. The staff is pretty good in asking if I need any help. No problem there. But what I do have a problem with is the staff calling me "boss" and "big guy" repeatedly. The employee is probably early 20s with a extra small shirt to look bigger, brown hair, maybe 6 feet tall. I don't know his name but you can't miss this clown. I'm in my mid 30s I don't need some dip shit giving me pet names! I'm a paying customer! Just rude as hell. read more

So i usually Shoppe at the GNC in the Carlsbad mall but today decided to stop in the vitamin shoppe to check it out. I was looking in they're isolate section hoping to find a good post-workout when i was rudely greeted by Kate. She then instructed me to find her if i had any questions and walked away so i decided to brush it off and keep looking. I then went to ask if they carry a specific protein i like and she talked to me like a child and then insulted me. I immediately left to go to GNC and will never return to a vitamin shoppe because of the experience. Hands down absolute worst retail experience I've ever had. The Vitamin Shoppe is a great franchise but I always feel that I am bothering the employees at this location. They are more interested in talking to one another about what they did last night or what Sheila was wearing (whoever Sheila is) rather than ring me up. Yes, this has happened more than once. I went in to return a fat burner that was recommended to me. Kate helped me with my return, and she was extremely unprofessional. Signs were still up for a 50% bogo sale on a brand I like. So I purchased a few items, assuming the same was still on. *Since all the sign were still up.** I start to check out and she says, "uh no, sale ended yesterday." I told her sign were up and she gave me more attitude and rudely said "NO" I also asked her advice on another non stimulant burner, and she was so rude. Treated me like I was an idiot. If I did not have store credit I would never come back here. I will definitely be buying my supplements at nutrition zone. Worst customer service I have ever received. read more
