She answered all of our questions, and we were able to put our own spin on soaps with inlaid tiny animals. We placed our tiny animals into the soaps and carefully arranged them, so that we could cut the soaps up. We got nine bars of soap!!! She was very helpful when I wanted to make my own cards and told me what kind of bags I could get for the soaps. (There's a funny story behind the snail mucin for another time, but for now, just know I love it for my skin and found it even nicer for my daily skin care routine than aloe vera.) I recently went to pick some aloe vera up as gifts, and discovered they were having a sale on some brand name products. I took a look, grabbed some mascara, and then on a whim, asked the salesperson, Sarah, if she would recommend some undereye concealer for me that would cover my dark circles. They are so bad, I look like I've been punched in the eye sometimes. I have never had much luck with finding a good one that both covered and was close enough to my natural skin color to look natural. (I actually have difficulty matching my skin tone at all - and have tried both inexpensive and high-end brands - because I'm such a strange color.) She picked one out, tried it on me, then "just for fun" she said, tried several more samples - of concealer, eyebrow pencil, foundation, powder, and lip color. I was not expecting much, based on a lifetime of being hard to match, and additionally, told her she didn't have to because I didn't want to buy anything else and was just interested in the undereye concealer. She was so kind and reassuring, wasn't trying to sell me anything, just wanted to put together a look for me, and even generously gifted me some additional products in a pack for my skin issues though I tried to decline, worried it was too much, too kind. I ended up loving the look, she had picked out and matched all the makeup to me perfectly, and I've never had anyone do my eyebrows better. She offered some tips I really appreciated and I was impressed the whole way home and then especially at home when I looked again in the mirror. I plan to go back at some point to ask her what color foundation she used! (I currently mix two colors I found at a generic large box store and it's not as good as what she selected/used.) Both for her level of skill and kindness, I would highly recommend Sarah at Anais Cosmetics for your makeup needs - she has rapidly become my favorite makeup adviser.
