Sax just sold out to Walgreens and Walgreens will be taking over the Sax Taylor location on August 1. The employees told me that all Walgreens wanted was the Sax customer list for their pharmacy. I seriously doubt that they will be keeping both locations open - they are only a mile apart. I suggest to anyone who has their perscriptions at Walgreens to switch to one of the many other pharmacies in the Taylor area since they are treating long time employees in this way. The sax employees found out about the buyout AFTER the general public did - they will be losing their old jobs at Sax on Aug 1. The employees said that they were told buy the owner of Sax that part of the agreement they made with Walgreens, was that Walgreens stipulated that none of the employees were to be informed. I will not do business with companies that treat their workers in this way. This is just another example of the corporate takeover of American small family businesses. It is very sad. Wall Street is completely out of touch with Main Street and this is just another example.

They don't carry the two prescriptions that I need so when I was telling the owner, why are you so concerned about my other medication's? He's like because I can ask questions and also why are you getting from two pharmacies? I personally number one nobody carries these two medicines that I need except you guys and the second thing is no disrespect. It's none of nobody's where I get my medicine from. All I need is my medicine so I can feel better so he told me to hold my horses and told with the medication that you have at these other pharmacy why don't you get it from there? I told they don't carry them and they don't order them. You guys are the only ones been coming there for three years and now you're giving me trouble about medicine that I really need. And he was like you're too much medicine. I told him that's none of your business and he told me listen. I am the owner and I fill your prescriptions for you. I will more than gladly to go do that because it took me 10 different pharmacies until I found Apollo pharmacy in Wyandotte and they had no problems filling my prescriptions for three years and they did not ask are you taking these other and why are you getting them from another pharmacy? He's just being greedy because I didn't give all my medicine to him so he can make the money. It seems like he's hurting for money or he needs more money or he's racially profiling me because of who I am and I think that's the reason why and if you go look on people are giving him bad reviews as well too because they don't fill prescriptions or ask them about what other medicines they have and why they medicines and it's none of their these are none opioid prescriptions and also I don't take any opioids as well for him to name all my medicines in front of the crowd of his workers and customers was a violation of my HPAA law he said my name he said my date of birth he said my address and you know what I feel violated and disrespectful by this gentleman he should not own this place. It probably has to do with the fact that it's the busiest Walgreens in the area. Seeing a pharmacist is rare here. There are usually only a couple pharmacy techs when I've visited, so if you have questions for the pharmacist, expect a delay.
