Furthermore, they have incredible rates, better than anywhere else I looked, and no hunting club fees - but that's not only what makes them so great... I came out with my girlfriend in order to try our hands at hunting. We have both shot guns at targets, and trap, and have completed a hunters safety course, but never gone hunting. For being novices, they made us feel comfortable and safe. We learned a ton over the course of the day, which began with trap shooting and then progressed to hunting pheasants. Their pheasants are locally raised, and their hunting grounds have good cover and feel safe (there is a bluff on one side, lake on the other, and row of trees on a third side, with the road behind you - so there is little chance that you would run into a situation where you accidentally come up on another hunter - the perimeter is well circumscribed). For the hunt we opted to use a dog to help flush out the pheasants and retrieve them (which I would highly suggest) and it was an absolute delight to work and hunt with the dog. When we finished they showed us how to feather/skin and clean the pheasant to cook, even gave us some great recipes! It was truly an incredibly positive first experience hunting - didn't hurt that we shot 5 our of 6 pheasants :) All in all, Their individual attention was incredibly appreciated, as well as their experience and knowledge. A bald eagle was in the tree and swooped down and caught a fish during their ceremony. It was so cool. It is much more "classy" today than when I was here. Great place to use. Very nice facility.
