A few interesting holes that make good use of elevation changes, and then a fair number of more mundane holes. A great course for beginners and you can't beat the price ($5 for 9 holes walking). The only negative is that tees were not marked for 7 of the 9 holes and there are no score cards or course maps. I used a GPS app to find the approximate location of the tees but without that I would only be guessing. Also, FYI, the pro-shop is closed by the course remains open with an honor box (green fees are $5!).

Customer service is constantly some of the worst in the business. She also likes to say the course is empty and send out a single in the middle of a closed tournament. Rude for the closed tournament, and awkward for the guy held up by a blockade of foursomes. Oh and not to mention the course is dead, tee boxes are hard as cement, and the water jugs are usually empty. Pheasant Run won't disappoint if you're looking for a frustrating afternoon of hard greens and brutal customer service.

I LOVE Cimarron National golf course!! The designer of these and the courses across the street did…read morenot "believe" in sand traps (felt it slowed down the game too much); therefore, there's no sand traps to worry about. They did, however, still believe in water hazards (which can be problematic for those like me who have some difficulties getting loft in your shot). There are 2 18-hole courses: Cimarron National and Aqua Canyon. Cimarron is harder with water hazards coming into play more often. Both are great to play. My favorite is Aqua Canyon. Pros: courses are well-maintained and employees are always pleasant. The KEY pro: it's NEVER busy! You don't have to worry about people crowding you, nor do you have to worry about creeping up on folks in front of you and having to wait. I've never had a problem with getting a tee time on the weekend (either by calling a couple of days ahead or same day). The clubhouse is nice - standard golf course fare. This one does have a kitchen that will make a tasty grilled cheese and tomato sandwich for the vegetarians. Price is pretty much what you would pay (or less) for a course in the city - $105 for 3 rounds of golf and 2 carts. The only con I would list is the drive time (though for me, it's not, as I enjoy road trips (even if they are "mini")). The courses are in Guthrie, so it's about a 30 minute drive from NW OKC, but it's absolutely worth it if you like being able to play at your own pace.

Terrible customer service, my group of 4 came in there looking to hit the range but it was closed…read more The man at the desk told us he has a tee time at 5:15, we were under the impression they closed at 7 as it says on the website. We we charged $30 each and played a total of 3 holes before after 20 minutes of play we get a message on the cart saying to come back in and return the carts because the course is closing. We come back in and ask for a possible refund or even a rain check. Before I even ask for a refund as I am explaining our issue he cuts me off and says we don't do refunds. I say a rain check is fine if possible and he says we close at 6 and there's nothing he can do. I explain to him we'd be happy to come back another day with the rain check and there way just misinterpretation on the closing time as it was the day of the daylight savings switch. He did not care and showed no apologies even though he's the one who offered the 5:15 tee time knowing that we would only be out there for no more than 20 minutes. When he offered that time with the full price there was no mention about an earlier closing time than listed on the website. I find this to be terrible business practice and a terrible way to take care of your customers, at any other golf course this would typo be a rain check at there very least. We were scammed out of $120 total to say the least. This course clearly does not treat its customers with decency.

The length of the course is perfect. With just the right amount of hazards, water, and sand traps, you'll definitely be challenged, but they're not so difficult that you'll be ridiculously discouraged. I don't actually play: I ride shotgun, search for balls, and try hard to stifle laughs....annnnnd I enjoy the magnificent view as the course wraps around the east side of Lake Ponca. We talk often of visiting neighboring courses, but mostly we come here. When you're through your round, stop by the clubhouse for a delicious bite to eat. For an extra treat, dine out on the veranda overlooking the greens with a perfect view of the lake. If you need supplies or a snack for the road, visit the neighboring pro shop. I'm sure they'll have just what you need! FORE!!!!

Well manicured, straight-forward, no frills course that I would play again. I made my tee time reservation online thru golfnow. Upon arrival, the staff had my reservation (although she told me they dont reserve tee times) and I was in and out in no time. Met a couple that were members who were on the first tee and they were extremely pleasant as well. The course is reconfiguring their layout so there was a little confusion, but overall a great course. This course would be decent for all level of golfer.

After hitting some balls, he brought out a few clubs, and watched me swing. I ended up with a Callaway CB12 - 58 +1.5 with oversized grip. It is the first club I have ever had that actually fits me. I love the feel and I have never played better around the greens. Chipped in for birdie to lose at the scramble on Tuesday night, what could be better? Thanks to Connor, will be back to get fitted for Irons soon.
