Then, as I was ready to leave, I handed the gal a 20% tip. 20% She looked at the $20 bill and said, "NOT ENOUGH". I said, "What ??" and she then said, "30% need ten more dollars. You pay $100 so 30% is $30 and you need to pay $10 more." When I said No, she got huffy and turned her back and walked away. 20% was a fair and generous tip. Her techniques are spot on. I highly recommend her for any kind of massage, but even more so for lymphedema. After my initial treatment my lymphedema was completely manageable. With her dual certification MLD and CDT, she is qualified to work on lymphedema patients medically. Many massage therapists wouldn't take me as a client due to the severity of my lymphedema. There is no awkwardness around her and she is relaxing and comfortable to share the space with. She contracts with another excellent therapist to provide couples massage, but we go one after the other and have always both still received a premium massage. Moria is able to give deep tissue or whatever treatment we want, and I have also received some cranial work for headaches which was helpful. There are a variety of employees that each have their own method. I was fortunate enough to try 4 to 5 employees out And was never disappointed. They offer different types of massage and deep tissue and ashiatsu are my favorites. My husband will actually go get massages here and he has never been one to agree to that. Melissa, one of the owners is absolutely amazing. She works with me on a personal level to make sure I get scheduled. I truly can feel her compassion and empathy and desire to help other people. I appreciate that they are always very flexible when it comes to scheduling and go out of their way to make sure you feel comfortable. If your insurance allows, you may be able to express bill. Which means just paying your bill upfront, Melrose massage will provide you with billing codes and an invoice. I just submit those to my insurance and they reimburse me at 80%.
