I explained that I was looking for a provider for a friend and I had already spoken to another neuro-psychologist who explained that there are a lot of differences in neuro psych assessments and highly recommended that I ask other providers about this before deciding which one to make an appointment with (the provider who gave me this information was too far away for my friend to see). I also called another office and learned they were not taking new patients but the owner/psychiatrist there spent quite a bit of time on the phone advising me how to best help my friend. I actually offered to pay him for his time with me since he spent a significant amount of time educating me but he refused to take any payment. These experiences really highlighted how differently Rittenhouse Psychiatric operates and also highlights how focused they are on money rather than patient care. They even tell you on their general voicemail, before you even have an opportunity to speak to anyone, about their requirements for credit card up front since they don't accept insurance. I would describe her as a kind caring and wonderfully nice person and the ultimate professional. She is a respectful, decent, and honest person. Katherine is OK but the rest are not good at all. If I can find ANYONE else to prescribe my meds....I will do it in a minute. I empathize with Megan D completely. Believe me, if another practice opened in the area and was completely honest and above board with all the ins and finances...they would be swamped with new patients. The only other requisite would be Medicare enabled. There are a multitude of older Americans with mental health issues who can't get help. ROW is not even relatively CLOSE to my house but I got very little help with using ZOOM for telehealth visits. This means a 1 hour ride for a 10 minute visit with Katherine and then another hour ride home!!! Not only a half day gone but GAS and wear & tear on my vehicle!! Ridiculous. OK I'm done. All I can say is for a practice that is supposed to be HELPING PEOPLE WITH MENTAL PROBLEMS this place only adds to the mental stress of everyday living. I would recommend NOT having therapy here unless you would like to become more stressed. I would only recommend medication management with this practice. I want to start off by saying Rosemary is wonderful as I encountered in my interactions with her during my appointments, so much so she suggested that I do in house therapy with Theresa. First session with Theresa was a usual intake session, so I made reoccurring appointments. In my line of work my work schedule can change the night before and that happened for my second session so I called to change it as a tele-appointment. When I called in for my appointment I was told that I could not perform the appt by phone, but had to have the session by video. I explained my situation and she kept insisting I could only perform it by video, and I could not understand why they would give a number to dial in via phone then but just told her she could cancel it instead and we would just have to speak at the next appointment I had booked. She told me she was still going to charge me for my appointment, and I told her that it was fine, but to please cancel my reoccurring appointments I had booked as I would not be continuing on. .

When parents call about appointments, they are nervous and worried about their children's mental health. The receptionist lectured me, raised her voice at me, spoke down to me, and scheduled an appointment a month out. When I asked if there was any way to make it sooner for the sake of my son, she again loudly read "notes" that blamed me for why that couldn't happen. I said, fine, make the damn appointment at the end of the month, and she hung up on me. Wonderful doctor, terrible customer service. We will be finding a new psychiatrist. I asked Jeannie to have Rosemary give me a call to discuss the unprofessional manner in which this was handled and was told she would relay the message but she that she is really busy. I find that it's in the best interest to find another practice that has better customer service than to try to reschedule another appt. it's unfortunate that Rosemary is losing out on clients due to the lack of customer service that her office provides.

He has really helped my brother the most of all the others. Dr. Hetznecker is very caring, thorough and he really knows what he is doing. I can't recommend him enough. One of the other doctors my brother met with - Dr. Gruenberg - is at the same practice and is great also. Dr. Hetznecker works more often I think with children and I can see how he would be great with children. For those who know about this sort of thing, Dr. Hetznecker is an expert in cognitive behavioral therapy. He is not the least expensive, but the expense is worth it when you get expertise.

In fairness, I have only been to the new "Urgent Care" once and it's not great. Most Urgent Care's…read moredispense meds at the time of the visit. Sometimes you have to pay a premium for that but even that's not available here. It's really a normal primary care experience but they have some weekend hours. If you're sick and don't want to make extra stops at the pharmacy I recommend going elsewhere.
