Tried calling the front desk to ask them to ask them to be mindful there are people downstairs. This did nothing. Was just dismissed, offered no solutions. And left to just endure this torturous experience. I'm now on day 2 of a three night stay and about ready to shoot myself. Poor construction. No transparency. No consideration from either the people upstairs, nor the resort themselves. Got this on a BC Ferries vacation package thinking it was a good deal. No deal is worth this. If you value your sanity at all, don't ever consider this place as a vacation option. I will never stay here again.

The guest above you were owners and come monthly. Typically, owners do not disclose whom they will be travelling with at time of booking as they book a year in advance. These owners were made aware of their disturbance to you while staying below and did try their best. Unfortunately, we were not able to move you as we were fully booked that weekend. I apologize for the inconvenience this caused you during your stay. I do hope that the rest of the resort amenities and your stay was to your satisfaction. The view from the suites are breathtaking. The balcony of the Spa Suite has a180 degree view of beautiful ocean, with Vancouver Island in the distance. We saw whales, seals, eagles...... Brigitte and Roger were awesome hosts. Brigitte is a super RMT and Roger's breakfasts were delicious. We will be returning......

Unfortunately, they made us carry the boards across the highway to the beach ourselves which I think wasn't the best service after shelling out a lot of cash for the rentals. The map is a bit deceiving and some accommodations are far from the lake, but not a big deal.The safari tents were a fun change to stay in. They were clean and had a Queen bed and bunk beds. They have chickens on the property and the rooster woke us up at 4:30 am so that was not fun. However, my kids enjoyed watching the chickens and baby chicks wandering around. The lake was amazing. Warm and crystal clear. You could not really utilize the dock as a few families with boats seem to camp out on it. Totally, unable to social distance on the dock. Private beach is tiny so has similar difficulties with social distancing. Also, the beach access is across from the highway which was not really clear on the map. Great public access down the road, but it gets busy as well. Aside from carrying the boards, staff were friendly and very helpful. Provided life jackets and mosquito repellant when needed. Check in and check out was easy and they were great about sanitizing debit machines and pens as needed. Sanitizer was throughout property. There is a kitchen near the tents which has a kettle, sink and microwave as well as space for food prep. Lots of picnic space. There was a fire ban in effect. But has an awesome fire pit area that would be great to use when there is no ban. Other people that I met who were staying there were very friendly and no concern with late night partying and noise. Dinner out at the restaurant was amazing but a tad pricey. Service was a bit slow, but I give them some leeway with covid and everything that comes with it. Patio is lovely and overlooks the lagoon. All said, I would definitely come again, but maybe try to stay farther away from the roosters or bring ear plugs!

This is short summary of our two night stay…read more Rooms 1, 2, 3 are on 1st floor. 4&5 on 2nd floor and room 6 is in the basement. We stayed in room #3 that has AC, This one is an en-suite bedroom. Room 3 seems to be the smallest one compare to all others. We did peek into room #1 and it was larger. Pros: #1: close proximity to English Bay and #1 rated Stanley Park. Within walking distance to many restaurants. Stanley Park has Brewery that is within 5 minute walking distance from the Inn. #2: free parking spaces (3) in the back if space is available. must request ahead of time. #3: very romantic, cozy setting with lots of furnishings to go with name like English Bay Inn. Had port wine with several glasses to use. #4: Yes, the breakfast and the friendly staff serving you in the morning. The staff is very personable and paid attention to details. Cons: #3 being the smallest, we did not have enough room to open the suitcase fully but somehow managed it. If you are big, you will definitely hate this room. Overall, we will definitely stay again and recommend to others

We just checked out, and during this time of the year (May) there are beautiful flower blooms and weather to go with the charming house. My parents booked unit 6, the attic. My husband, son, my brother and I had unit 5, the basement. For Unit 6, you enter into a seating area, then go up another flight of stairs to another small seating area, the bed area and a pretty good sized bathroom. Our basement until (in photos) has a small kitchen, small dining room, and two sleeping areas. My brother was with us just one night so he took the back bedroom, and when he left our son took the bedroom. With either situation the basement was enough room for us. If you are visiting with a child, I'd recommend booking the basement to keep the rest of the house quiet for the other guests. The only downside for the basement unit is that you don't get the wonderful breakfast with it. My parents and my husband and I switched off going to breakfast on different mornings since the attic unit does include breakfast. They thoroughly enjoyed their omelet breakfast and declared that we'll enjoy our turn the next day - and we did enjoy it this morning! We had muffins, fruit salad, and delicious Eggs Benedict with corned beef, small salad, sprouts and grilled tomatoes. A gentleman sitting in front of me had the omelets the day before and asked for fruit and cereal instead today, and they happily supplied him with what he asked for. The house is obviously an older house. It's nothing like staying at a brand new five star hotel, but you can say that's all part of the charm of it. When I visit Vancouver again, I plan to book with them again as long as they have availability. The Inn is also very nicely located. You can walk a short block down to the bay and take a nice walk one way to Stanley Park (the entrance is one block north), or walk south to a popular beach and restaurant area. If you are driving, make sure to request a reserved parking space (there are only 3). I'm a fan, and if you enjoy character and supporting small quality businesses with caretakers who want to make your trip enjoyable, book with them!

Blown away. This…read morespot is lovely, and easily one the nicest B&B's I have ever enjoyed. The exposure is West-southwest, capturing the heat and the sunsets. There's A/C for comfortable nights during the summer, and fireplaces for ambience and warmth during the winter. Marsha's breakfast is delicious, and she was very accommodating to mentioned food restrictions. (Next time can we order two breakfasts?) There are also BBQ's and lots of area for dinner on the terraces. The other guests there at the same time as us were celebrating their first anniversary. None of us wanted to leave. To say that the suites are well-appointed falls far short. They have everything you need, and are cozy, comfortable and quiet. The hot tub is clean and has a spectacular view of the straight. Follow the gorgeous, long new staircase down to the water and you're surprised by private little spots with adirondack chairs. You can be 15 feet from other guests enjoying the beach and still feel like it's your own secret garden spot. There is a little spa cabin by the water as well, and although we didn't partake of the services, it was tempting. I could just imagine the ocean breezes lulling a person to sleep under the skilled hands of the local massage therapist. If you like to watch the boat traffic come and go, this is a great spot. If you're a gardener, you'll appreciate all of the planning and work that has gone into the property. If you like the beach, low tide opens up a white sand mini-spit just off the shore. And if you're crazy and brought work to do (like I did), there are tables in each suite, wifi and lots of peace and quiet.
