I see they somehow deleted my review from a few years ago. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO THIS "SCHOOL". The "teachers", incompetent. The facilities, piss poor. The principal, a money hungry, lying, conniving woman! The only reason my child went here is because someone convinced my son's mother that this awful establishment was a decent place for children to learn. Upon my first time dropping my son off, I got the impression it was everything but that. From their humble beginnings in an office park building they've managed to transfer to a new location with stolen funds all while falsely claiming to be a center of excellence. If they're so excellent, explain to me why one of their very own teachers couldn't discern between a noun and a verb. Explain why that same teacher didn't have an education license to save the school money. Also explain why that teacher was formerly a correction officer no more than 6 months prior with no prior education background. These are the individuals the principal are hiring to teach your kids. The principal herself is a joke. She's too scared to even have a face to face conversation about how terrible her staff is and threatened to call the cops on me for wanting to have a private face to face convo with her and one of her staff. Trust me, you'd be better off saving your money because you won't get the value for what you've spent when you could have sent your child to Georgia State for a year instead for what it cost to go to Philmore. You'll regret it and wish you'd taken heed. I beg of you, don't do it to yourself or to your child. I promised this woman I'd ruin her business and I will not stop until she's out of business! This school has moved at least three times to my knowledge, because she doesn't pay for the rented facilities. She's constantly having her staff wait for their paychecks, because the only thing she prioritizes is her wardrobe and personal expenses. This experience was so disappointing. Our children are now excelling at other schools and their grades aren't being manipulated to create a false sense of excellence. Pros: Excellent for self starters. School has disciplined students with little to no issues that plague most schools, competitive pricing, overall decent and well mannered student body, parent engagement isn't over the top, actually great teachers and they seem to have a high and clear accountability to their students and the organization. The flip side: Constant hidden fees, too many last minute changes, watered down work to appease unrealistic parent expectations for grade level work, several teachers teaching multiple grades and/or subjects to save money, staff lacks diversity even with age (One had the same hair as that character from Suicide Squad, literally.),many of the teachers are constantly dressed unprofessionally, constant campus relocation, alot of false advertising, ongoing "bait and switch," abrupt and unscheduled changes to school schedule, consistently late and disorganized in general(Typical.), unethical behaviors, unprofessional turnaround when it comes to withdrawal paperwork and refunds, technology is outdated, not enough working computers for students, campus facility upkeep and cleanliness is poor and office administration is pretty much non-existent. Graduation was terribly disorganized and it was painfully clear that it was held in an unauthorized space where even the owners of the building appeared, and were flabbergasted at the audacity! Some parents completely missed their kid's shining moment because the ceremony started outside of what the parents were told and they were pissed! And rightfully so! What an absolute nightmare! Older students are constantly tasked with things to do around the school that are horrendously outside of an appropriate scope, even when it cuts into their classes, and its excessive to say they least. Barely any really nice field trips or opportunities for travel for students and the STEM program is a sham at best. Overall, 3.5/5. Depends on what's important to your family. You get what you pay for with private BOBs. read more

My kids and I have had the best experience at Philmore Academy. We have been apart of the school since 2020 and we absolutely love it. The principal is hands on with all the students. She literally knows all students by name. We will be at Philmore for years to come because of Ms. Philon. My kindergartener is reading and writing very well. If you are looking for a private school with an amazing staff and principal Philmore Academy is the place for you! The school feels like a family. read more

I have a senior who attended middle school there and a fourth grader who still attends.My daughter came to Philmore in the 8th grade from a public school were she was ignored and passed along. When coming to Philmore the staff met her at her level and she excelled tremendously. The staff never allowed my daughter to fail and always kept me in the loop with her progress. They expect high achievement from all the student because they are all capable to do so. Philmore is and always will be a home for me and my children. I am so glad I found this school, my daughter is a senior in high school and is taking college credit courses . She has grown so much as a student and individual . Professionally, the dealings with PA's leadership was piss poor, low standards of communication, excess of pride, minimal accountability taken when errors have occurred during school initiatives such as drives etc. Would not recommend enrolling a student in this school at all. - X read more

This is our 2nd year at Philmore Academy and we are still happy with our decision to send our daughter here. The standard of academics is geared towards students being successful at all levels. The teachers and principal are amazing and very supportive! We love the open door policy that is implemented at Philmore Academy and feel the family love. The small setting is very conducive to our daughter's learning style and we know that with the assistance of everyone at Philmore Academy she will be academically prepared for high school. read more

The school took money from me, and will not answer the phone. I've called dozens of times to both the main school number as well as the head principal, and no one answers! I would warn any parent to not entrust their kid to an establishment that does not answer their phone. Scary! read more

We LOVE Philmore Academy!! My son, who started when he was in 3rd grade loves Ms.Philon and the staff. He is now in sixth grade and is enjoying his middle school experience. The principal and teachers know all the students and provide them with a loving and supportive environment. read more
