I love love LOVE Private Pre-K they do an amazing job with my son! He loves going in and telling me all the amazing stuff he did with his teachers today ! And he always eats his food. Being a picky eater eases my mind knowing he's loving the food they serve. I have been a parent here for several years now - I have had two kids in almost every classroom at different times. I cannot speak highly enough about this place or the people here. The staff is loving and kind - they genuinely care about every single child that attends. They know everyone by name and they are always there to help with anything parents may need help with in the complicated process of raising little ones. My son and my daughter have loved this place like a family - and as my son is approaching the end of pre-K at the end of this school year, we genuinely feel like it will be a loss for us as a family not having that same daily connection here. I know that they will for sure return every summer though! It's hard to find a place that is so wonderful - they focus on learning and character building - preparing for the next stage in their lives - but the kids genuinely love going as well. I can't say enough good things about this entire place - I never worry if my kids are happy and are exactly where they should be. This is a special place. read more

I really wanted to like Five Forks Academy, but the fact is this place is not for everyone. They have a beautiful playground and when I picked up my child the two young gentleman who appeared to watch the toddlers in the evening after the teachers left were nice, BUT that is it. Our main teacher (Jessica) just seemed very inexperienced working with our toddler. My child is shy, quiet and usually likes to play alone and that is fine. The teacher probably is used to working with the same type of children. For some reason while my son was coming here he started to dread going. He started to say he did not want to go and started to act out, sometimes he would cry, but we just thought he would be okay after a while. The director would call us sometimes or someone else and would say he was having problems, or worse and ask us to pick him up. The focus at this school seemed to be on the negative things and never on the positive things. Unlike our previous daycare in Lawrenceville (Dacula Academy) where the owners who had children themselves would focus on the positive, find solutions on how they and the parents could work together as a team, Five Forks Academy does none of this. One of the administer ladies at the front deck (usually sits on the left) would always give my wife and myself a very dirty look when arriving or picking up our child. Does she even smile? While coming here, I sadly cannot recall one time when arriving or leaving that someone at the front desk ever greeted me (Hello/Goodbye/Have a great day/evening/weekend, etc...). The front desk seriously needs to adjust their communication skills and become friendly. In the hospitality business, people like that would be fired immediately. The good news is we removed our son from Five Forks Academy and switched daycares and honestly he seems to be doing well. Of all the complaining they did at Five Forks Academy about him, he does not seem to be doing any of the same things, nor does he say he does not want to go. I learned a big lesson coming to Five Forks Academy. As a parent, if your child starts acting differently, does not seem to want to attend a certain daycare, switch them immediately. Our children does not talk much, but when we asked him if he likes his school, teacher, etc... and he kept saying no, we should of listened right away. If your child is introverted, this place is not for you. I cannot imagine how this place would be with kids with learning disabilities. I'm glad my child is now in a daycare with friendly administrators and great teachers who focus on the positive things. There are a few things that can make a preschool/daycare feel like a welcoming place. And they're simple: a hello when you walk in, a smile, your child being greeted by name, friendly communication with parents, to name a few. Cedars Preschool at Lilburn lacks that. I take my child there reluctantly only because he has friends and staff who has has known since he was two (prior to this new administration). I used to feel like I was dropping him off at a nurturing place that provided the best care for him outside of our home. It's a shame that that is so far from the truth. I wish that the same efforts put into beautifying the center were put into the soft skills essential for caring for children and collaborating with the families that choose to bring their children here. read more

The building and set-up are very nice and this daycare has great potential, unfortunately, it ends there. There is a high turn over in teachers, they don't all speak English well, and our daughter was learning incorrect words for objects we would then have to correct. In the few months our daughter was there, they lost a quality star rating but the cost was still a premium. They consistently told us things they were going to improve for months, but never did. Just empty promises of things they were going to do instead of things they were actively doing. The building was not secure while we were there per quality rating standards and part of the time their check-out process was to simply initial next to your child's name on a piece of paper and leave with them. No code or anything. We constantly would have no information about what she did for the day including what she ate or what her potties for the day were. Anytime we would ask, the director would get very combative and be difficult to get information from for simply wanting to have a status update of our child for the day. The owner was also rude and vindictive. After simply asking to know what was going on with our child during the day, the owner called me back just to berate me and tell me I could not ask anything, they weren't going to tell me anything, her director was the top priority over the children in their care, and then hung the phone up with no discussion and still no knowledge of what was going on there. We originally did not want to uproot our daughters schedule, but after some of these events, we did not feel our daughter was safe there and were not going to keep paying for an expensive baby sitter as they work their way towards losing another star rating. We immediately set her up in a different school and are so happy we did. We are not happy with how it ended up happening, but ultimately are glad it forced us to move day cares because she is developing so much more now and is actually excited to go there. read more

My child attended approximately 4 weeks to a month at Five Forks. The worst mistake ever. Apparently you have to look a certain way in order to be accepted. I had a hard time with the owner. She was not the most pleasant. My child cried all the time and would wait by the door for either her dad or I to pick her up. My intention was to have my child in a daycare that would really care for the kids. The last straw was when the owner called me at work and asked me not to dress my daughter a certain way so that she could be potty trained. It was always something. I felt that She could have had that conversation with me when I got off of work. I got off work early and withdrew her from the daycare and never turned back. That was the worst experience that I'd had since living in Georgia. It took me a long time to even write a review because I wanted to write how I felt about this situation and not be angry while writing it. The truth is people have their own little way of telling you "we don't want you here". I would have rather the owner tell me she didn't have an open spot available then I waist my time enrolling my child. It took me a while before I enrolled my child into another daycare because I feared it would be like this one. I found a great daycare that had teachers with longevity and an owner that cared in Snellville. I hope things have truly changed since I withdrew my child because parents want to know that their child is ok when being left in the care of someone else. read more

Well I could give a detailed review, but I don't have anything to go on. I emailed them once two months ago for information about enrolling my son into the school, and never got a reply. So I emailed again for more information. They replied this time. I didn't think an email could sound rude. It basically said "an infant is 230/ week, and we don't have any room in after school care" 230 a week is crazy. I paid less than that for a Montessori school in Boston. Maybe some information about the school would have been nice.. Something to justify spending so much on child care. read more

I honestly love this place. My son is in the Big 2's/Little 3's class, and he loves his teachers, Miss Patricia and Miss Kierra. They are very understanding on his rougher mornings and I can tell he's learning a lot! I was nervous to leave him with someone other than myself or my husband, but I feel at ease everyday when I drop him off. :) read more

This school is amazing! It's more than a daycare. Let me start by saying, my daughter was home with a nanny for 16 months and I was terrified to transition her to daycare. I went through 3 other schools before settling on Five Forks Academy. This school is the best in the area! From the first day I found the staff - including the Owner and Director - to be professional, kind, nurturing and like a family to the kids they watch. My daughter had a tough time initially and the staff was patient and kind to her throughout. Now, after a year there she is thriving! The school has excellent lesson plans for all ages - they do lots of outdoor play, arts & crafts, and fundamentals with the children. They have lots of activities to engage and involve parents as well throughout the year. The food is excellent, as they have a chef on staff to make the meals in house daily. They are big on hygiene and the students wash their hands throughout the day; it's one of the cleanest schools I have seen. I'm honestly so grateful I found the perfect second home for my daughter at this school. She loves it there and I feel confident she is being well cared for and enriched! read more

We LOVE LOVE LOVE FFA. Our son has attended since he was an infant, and we have been impressed with the staff, curriculum and leadership ever since. Kemper is always learning and amazes us with the things that he shows us he is taught at school. Most of all, the directors listen to parents and are always willing to help or address any concerns. Period…read more As my littles became more mobile, I quickly realized they needed more socialization but after going to the library, the park, a different library, back to the park again over and over and over every week... I'll be honest, I was exhausted. Time to look into preschool. I made a checklist of all... the... things... to ask. Cameras? Covid precautions and protocol? Student/teacher ratio? License and accreditation? Discipline policy? Curriculum? Immunization policy? Communication method? Safety policy and protocol? And so on and so on. Yep, I was *that* mom. I know. I know. I knnnoooowww. ‍ I spent hours looking at websites. On nice days, I drove by centers or schools during operating hours to see if the kids outside were playing AND being watched, as well as how many staff were present. I'll stop now because I'm mortified that I did that but my tiny hurricanes are my EVERYTHING. St. Matthews wasn't even on my radar because I lived over an hour away. But when I learned some teachers have been there for 20+ years, the program is small but mighty and I immediately felt comfortable, like *this* was what I was waiting for... without even touring or dissecting the website oorrr canvassing the building, I asked for my three year old to be put on the waitlist. When a spot opened up, he was so excited annnd then I realized I didn't even know how much it cost. ‍ I was SHOCKED (and grateful) at how affordable it is. The adjustment for my son going from being my sidekick to "away" was a little difficult but it did not last long and I credit that to Ms. Deja and Ms. Priyanka. They are AMAZING. Ms. Deja gave me some tips and tricks to help smooth the transition and it worked perfectly and quickly. Ms. Dalex even called to let me know that he was doing great after one super teary drop off. I swore she was calling me to pick him up LOL and I so appreciated the communication. When they started to work on writing their names, Ms. Deja knew that my son could already do that (humble brag ) and took the initiative to help him work on his handwriting, writing in the lines and lowercase and capital letters. She did not have to do that but the fact that she did speaks volumes. Things are going so well that my two year old was recently enrolled. Ms. Robin and Ms. Bijal are beyond patient and the communication is timely and impeccable. My daughter is not yet potty trained so I was hesitant to put her into a program but Ms. Robin shared the daily schedule with me (which includes changing/potty times) and we have had ZERO issues with diaper rash, being wet when picked up, soiled clothes or anything. There is chapel but it is not required. There are different events like Thanksgiving lunch and breakfast with Santa as well as some really creative fundraisers like the Pumpkin sale and Art Auction. There are even after school activities available. From someone who claimed to never EVER allow my children to be in a childcare setting until they could articulate to me the who, what, where, when, how and why of their day (did I mention I was that mom?) believe me when I say I wish I would have gotten them in sooner.

I know with these skills he will have an outstanding foundation to grow from. My 1 year old is also greatly benefiting from this environment, at 15 months she has shown me how capable even a toddler can be. She feeds herself independently, can drink from a cup, is working on dressing herself, "helps" me with chores and takes great pride in showing me what she can do. The teachers or "guides" are all wonderful and truly care about your children. I strongly recommend this school to anyone.

The pre-K here is Georgia Funded and it's on a first come basis. So they set a date early in the year and you pretty much come by 7 or something to stand in line and hope you get a spot. They have a few different classrooms with different start times. You can request a certain time if it works better for you. So far my daughter has been there for a few weeks and she loves it. I ask her everyday what she thinks and she never has a bad thing to say. They learn different things on a weekly basis. We're only on week 3 so I can't really comment on the learning aspect. They have optional internet monitoring. You pay extra for it if you want it. It's not the best but it's cheap. You can't watch the video on a MAC or on a newer 64 bit computer so you better have an old one. Luckily my father had one. :) The video you see is in one corner of the room your child is in and that's all you get. But to be honest, its okay to check in every once in a while. In my opinion you shouldn't be glued to the video at home anyway. You should have a little trust.

One of a Kind, Truly AMAZING experience! Five Forks Academy, both facility and staff set themselves aside from every other daycare I've heard about or visited. They are definitely without a doubt #1 in our books. Our son, who will be 2 years old in November, has been with Five Forks since 8 weeks old. He has grown in so many aspects of his life. The care and learning experience given to him from infanthood through to toddler surpasses anything we could ever imagine. Growing up,I always wanted to be stay at home mom because I was terrified of the idea of leaving my child with anyone else. The staff at Five Forks has completely put my mind at ease and now I could never imagine my son anywhere else. He has been given so much and we have the peace of mind that day to day he will be in wonderful hands and protected to the max all while learning and growing his knowledge and imagination to the extreme. What's even more, Ann, Teri, Carol and each teacher on the staff interact, play and read with each of the kids on a daily basis. The kids learn to be respectful and courteous to others all while learning to sing their ABCs and count in Spanish! In our opinion, Five Forks should be at the top of everyone's mind when choosing a daycare for their child. We absolutely love Five Forks Academy and God-willing will NEVER go anywhere else. My children have been at Cedars for over a year now and I can't say enough positive things about it! The new leadership team led by Ms. Tamita along with Ms. Emma and Ms. India make me feel like they are personally invested in the well-being of my children, their learning, and growth. They provide calendars each month which include fun events and holidays. They host great events such as International Night and holiday themed parades/lunches. Cedars also has breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as provide diapers/wipes for babies -- this is a huge upgrade from when my children went to Goddard who provided none of that but charged more! I love all of the staff and it's so hard to single some of them out when they've all been great but I definitely want to give Ms. Lauren, Ms. Lupe, Ms. Ava, Ms. Crystal, Ms. Helen, and Ms. Jaida their flowers! Ms. Cheryl, Ms. Monique, Ms. Victoria, Ms. Takira, and Ms. Kenadee are my children's previous teachers but they still make sure to make my children feel super special and taken care of. They deserve all the raises!! Even the kitchen staff Ms. Rashida and Ms. Pam go out of their way to be friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend! read more

-- Words Cannot Express Our Gratitude When we enrolled our twins in Ms. Dom's class, we honestly weren't sure how she would manage having another set of twins in the same room -- two little ones with completely different personalities, different needs, and very different opinions about snack time. What we discovered was something truly special. Ms. Dom doesn't just show up and watch kids -- she pours herself into every single day. My daughter started a Cedars about 6 months ago and we absolutely love it! She's now in the Jr. Toddler room with Ms. Tasha and Ms. B, and she is thriving. They are both wonderful teachers and keep her engaged in so many fun educational activities throughout the day. Even more importantly, they create such a loving environment. We're constantly blown away because she always comes home and demonstrates something new she's learned. The center holds events regularly and offers lots of opportunities for families to be active. I know she's in good hands with Cedars, and we plan to keep her here until she starts school. Highly recommend! read more

My son has been at Cedars Preschool since November 2023 and the director and entire staff anre amazing! Everyone is engaged and dedicated to the kids and their families. Our family has the closest relationship with Mrs. Crystal in the Senior Toddler B classroom. She is an active instructor and has helped him transition to a school-based environment so quickly. She also helped potty train him within a few short days. This is my son's first time away from home and he loves her and talks about her constantly. I highly recommend Cedars at Lilburn for your little ones/family, you will love them too! :) read more

I would like to nominate Cheryll Fitts and Jill Humphreys and the amazing team of teachers at Cedars Preschool. My twin boys are always so excited to go to school in the mornings which is a huge indicator that they feel safe and happy at their school. Twin toddler boys are not easy, but Cheryll and Jill have taught them so much since they started at Cedars and it shows when they get home. We love Cedars Preschool! Our daughter loves her teachers and friends! Most, if not all of the staff, knows her name. I love their daily schedule that allows her to explore letters, numbers, shapes, colors, and so much more. Her teachers, Ms. Lauren and Ms. Lupe, are amazing. They enjoy working with their babies. We have been so pleased with our experience at FFA! Our child started in the infant room with Ms. Cheryl who genuinely cares about the well-being of our child.
