As I enter one of the employees tells me and the other walk in to have a seat. I let him know I had an appointment and he said the barber will be right with me. The third barber walks in and starts setting up his station, meanwhile the other customer that walked in started getting his haircut as one of the other barbers finished. I waited about 15 minutes before I finally ask why I'm still waiting. Finally they realize the 3rd barber doesn't even have me booked in his calendar and the first two barbers didn't even confirm anything with him until I brought it up. I realized that the guy that was cutting the hair of the walk in was the one that took my name the day before. So finally they ask me to wait while the 3rd barber finishes up and he will be right with me - instead of just having the guy who was doing nothing except looking at his new products to cut it. The place was messy and you could see hair on the counters and floors. Clearly they don't sweep often but I figured "whatever" since I heard good things previous to this. Long story short I sit down and the 3rd guy was super nice and did a good job BUT they were watching soccer on the tv and anytime someone would come close to shooting the ball he would stop and look at the screen for 20-30 seconds then continue cutting my hair. I never went back and would not go back but the 2 stars I gave were for the guy who cut my hair since he did a good job. But I gotta say I was less than impressed with their "don't give a shit" attitude and customer service. Also, sweeping the floors and counters and keeping things clean would be a good addition to their business plan. I did not and will not go back. I will mention this was a while ago and I'm writing the review now so hopefully things have changed. I literally downloaded yelp just so I can write this review. That's how annoyed and frustrated I was.

This one, not so much. I brought my baby over to the woman's station, where she started setting up the booster seat. I told her that he'd be sitting on my lap (super normally, friendly, casually) and she said "oh" and left, we sat down, then she came back with the cape. She started to put it on me and I quickly rustled through my bag to grab my phone so I could have it on hand to show her a photo reference, before dropping it on the ground beside me. I asked her how her day was going, she said fine. Things felt kind of awkward. Then she came around my the other side of the chair where my bag was, looked down at it, and just looked super pissed and said "worst place to put that - right where I'm walking". Her tone and vibe was so off putting that I asked her if she wanted to cut someone else's hair instead, to which she asked "why?" and I could only think to answer "the vibes" to which she said, "no, I'm fine". Well, at that point, I wasn't fine, because I'm not about to pay money to have someone be super rude upon first meeting and act like I've greatly offended them by putting my bag on the floor. I told her I wasn't going to pursue the haircut, thanks and we appreciate it (because I'm at that point trying not to be a dick in return) and left. Super unsure as to why this lady took a dislike to me. Could be that's just her daily mood, or maybe even something awful happened to her that day or the customer before her was awful, but I'm not going to sit with you for half an hour after you've been rude within the first minute of me sitting in your chair for absolutely no reason. I don't expect anyone to cater to me by any means, but usually at a hair salon there would be an invitation as to where to put your bags/coats, before seating the client, and hopefully some understanding of parents trying to maneuver their little ones, and friendliness. I really don't think it would have been difficult to say, "hey, can we put your bag somewhere else?" for the sake of not being super hostile. Never going back.

Repeatably complaining about customers. Complaining about a Casino. Complaining about a friends cowboy hat. I've seen the behavior before in drug related case studies. Drugs or maybe a medical condition of some kind. He also complained about what a lady said to him about his Domed, (Clubbing), fingernails. They look pretty bad. It could be affecting his behavior. The lady even told him he should see a doctor. Her husband died from symptoms related to that condition. Either way. He has no business cutting anyone's hair.

Here is my original review: if i could give this place 0 stars i would. my boyfriend wanted to give this place a try as he hasn't been happy with the other barbers in town because they don't know how to work with his hair as he is black. he booked with Garnet and was extremely disappointed, the haircut was fine it was just the attitude he received. Garnet kept shaking his head while doing his hair, and anyone that has worked with textured hair knows that it easier and causes less pain to pick/brush out if water is applied and he did not do that. he was picking out his hair very aggressively while shaking his head. he didn't really ask him any questions on anything to do with his hair or what he specifically wanted ect. he hasn't had a hair cut in months due to being scared of getting his hair messed up again and this was the treatment he received which made him leave there feeling extremely discouraged and ashamed. this kind of behaviour is seriously not okay you never know what someone is going through. you made his self esteem worse than when he walked in there. looking at the reviews on this place i am extremely surprised and in disbelief that my boyfriend is the only one that has been treated this way here and quite honestly wouldn't be surprised if the owner is deleting real reviews. take the constructive criticism and do better. you made someones self esteem worse than when he walked in there.
