Each signature bowl always starts in the wok, where they fire up minced pork, garlic and bean sprouts. Added is an assertive blend of red & white miso, sake and other seasonings. Piping hot broth is then poured over a fresh bed of noodles which melds all the flavours perfectly together to give it that unique Isshin smoky taste with veggies to provide that crunch and sweetness to balance it all. A whopping choice of over 15 different types of ramen, as well as seasonal ramens, flavourful vegetarian and vegan options are available. And although ramen is their cornerstone, you cannot miss out on their appetizers! We gleefully shared chicken karaage, dumplings, donburi bowls, and takoyaki over refreshing Japanese beers and also a hybrid sake and beer drink. Finally, you no longer have to cross the bridge over to Brossard to enjoy a hearty bowl of ramen from @ramenisshin - just head to at their new spot in the Plateau! Although they have 4 locations in ON and 2 in QC, you can expect the same uncompromising attention to detail and quality of food, taste, plating, and service at any of them. The biggest challenge in multi-restaurant management is in making sure that you offer a consistent dining experience across all your locations - they nailed it. Perhaps one of the reasons we keep on coming back? In case you were wondering, Ramen Isshin means one heart one ramen. And the 3 ring symbol represents the 3 founders who complement and complete each other. Koji for creating the menu, Jason for the operation and Adam for the marketing. They all share the same vision, to recreate the best ramen experience one bowl at a time - wherever and whenever you taste it! Note: if you plan to come with a big group, make reservations to ensure seating as space is somewhat limited.

The Long Version: I love hand pulled noodles, so my husband and I had lunch here. He's not a fan of noodle soups but agreed to come and just have appetizers, lol. I got the small-sized Spicy Mushrooms and Chicken Noodle Soup ($13.99). I chose the #6 size noodles which is the thickest noodles they offer. My husband got the imperial rolls ($4.50 for 3) and the fried shrimp wontons ($11.99 for 10). I really enjoyed my soup, especially the thick noodles. They were chewy and the right amount of softness. There were chicken pieces in it, mushrooms and a delicious "tofu sausage." It also had 2 pieces of baby Bok Choy and some pieces of kelp. I wished there was more vegetables. The soup also had green onions and cilantro. The broth was a tiny bit spicy from the chili oil. I am happy that this soup does not have sesame seeds in it, so I didn't have to ask them to hold the sesame seeds. Lol. My only complaint would be that the broth was a bit too salty and too oily for my tastes. I still thought it was good though. My husband enjoyed his appetizers. The imperial rolls were vegetarian. I didn't have any, but they looked like nothing special to me, haha. However, the hubby liked them which is what matters. The fried shrimp wontons looked good and he liked those too. Service was pleasant and efficient. The decor is casual with some fun touches. I liked the rotating lanterns with lights on the ceiling and the drawings of a big squid and clams on the walls. I would return to try their other noodle soups and also their handmade dumplings. Review #10 (2026)

I just wasn't too sure about the noodles. We did see some plates come out and the noodles looked good, but they didn't look fantastic so I definitely wanna go back and actually just tried the noodles, but I always get tempted with the dumplings LMFAO
