Excellent Pho! We were not expecting there to be a phone restaurant in Spruce Grove but were pleasantly surprised. We had the chicken Curry and Goat Curry soups. Owner was very eager to accomodate us. Definitely coming back again! read more

This business has changed ownership since it opened, and has been operating with the new owner for the past couple of years. This used to be one of my fiance's favorite restaurants, but has really gone downhill since the new owner took over. The food is okay, but not as good as it used to be. The restaurant is getting really rundown, and looks like it could use a good clean, bleach and elbow grease, from top to bottom. It used to be a 5 star but...last time we were there there was not one other customer in store but EVERY table had dirty dishes. We sat down at a dirty dish free table. And dont mistake this with a clean table. Ordered our usual. This was one of our fav restaurants for the longest time, we went once a month until then. We always forgave the poor service for good food. Always having to ask for boxes, bills, refills. Well the kid in the other reviews was true not that if bothered me much. But the waitress/ cook huge lip herpes as well as all the dirty tables in the front and i cant even imagine what the kitchen then looked like, that ended our experiences there. It would take some great convincing to get me back there. Alleged owner change or not. Go to thairiffic or red leaf. Its safer. read more

The only reason we went here was because I simply forgot to skip this place. I wish I could take it back! On this cold Monday I decided to take my boys out for lunch ( my 5 year old was turning 6 on Tuesday and since he loves rice I thought I would feed him Asian food after running errands), we were running late. Then, I asked my boys where we should go and I said there's a place there or over there, they chose this nasty place, we were so hungry! So my 7, 5, 1 year old and I ended up at this wretched place. We sat down and that's when I noticed that the table was dirty, when I asked the female server to please clean our table with an attitude she said it was already clean even though you could clearly see a sticky yellow and brown sauce in the middle of the table. Reluctantly she sort of cleaned it. She brought us water and when I reached for it I noticed there was a greasy fingerprint right by the lip of the glass. I asked the server to please bring me another glass and with an attitude she came back and said "Here's your water with no fingerprint!" then she started speaking Vietnamese to another woman that was chewing like a pig at a table nearby, I could tell she was complaining to her about us because of her mannerisms and because she was looking right at us. When the food came I asked her if she could bring us a teaspoon for my baby to feed himself. She came back with a large spoon and said "This is all we have" I told her I needed a small spoon for my baby. After a while she finally found one and adds "this is too small." Whatever! Each plate was brought out one at a time, we had to wait about a few minutes in between plate to arrive. When the last plate arrived it was brought out by the older man, the owner. As he was walking away from our table, the server who was standing at the register attending a customer started saying something to him and he looked right at us. I was watching them so, I asked him "Is there a problem?" And the server said "I just told him it was two plates" Yeah right! That doesn't even make sense. When I went to feed my baby boy I found what looked to be a black, curly pubic hair in my son's food. It even had the white tip that hair has when it's ripped out of your head. A pubic hair looks nothing and I mean nothing like lemongrass which they claimed it was. Lemongrass is usually straight, looks lighter than hair, even when cooked and easily breaks when rubbed between your fingers. The woman that was eating near us earlier, had now joined in claiming it was the lemongrass and not a hair. She even brought out a container from the kitchen with a lemongrass gelatinous substance in which she put her hands and was touching. Disgusting! This attempt backfired because you could clearly see once again that it was a pubic hair. This woman appeared to be in her third trimester of pregnancy and could hardly speak any English. The server said that woman was the owner. This woman started to yell and said "You can leave, go it's ok" It was extremely awkward... Then she got very irate and started slamming the plates on the table touching our food. Keep in mind that while this is happening I'm trying to get our coats on and all that winter gear back on my kids. Then, the pregnant woman, the owner, looked at me and said F-k you, f-k you many times, (a couple walked in while this was happening and heard her say that to me and walked right out, then she said it was my fault they walked out!) that's when I called the police and they quickly sent an officer down. I told him my side of the story right in front of them, now this crazy woman who has no respect for little children much less her unborn child was all of a sudden very quiet. The officer asked her "Were you swearing in front of the children?" no answer. Then he said "Let's go to the kitchen." I asked him what he wanted me to do and he kindly answered "You can go now." Phew! What a relief it was to see him save us from this crazy woman! My boys were so scared and my birthday boy on the verge of tears! Makes me so sad to think they had to experience this ugly, ugly event! They had never heard such words and were later on wondering what they meant. In addition to all of this shocking and unbelievable events this place is very dirty, from the light fixtures which are covered in dust, to the floors! The condiments, and salt shaker were crusty! Eeww! Please, please, never ever go here, save your money and go to Subway or anywhere with healthy food instead. But if you choose to go here have the RCMP number on speed dial which I'm glad I did! I will never, ever be back, guaranteed! And as of tomorrow I will be contacting a lawyer for advise on how to proceed. It gets one star because yelp does not give you a choice for zero stars. read more
