WOW!!!!! I have never seen such a beautiful wood floor. We have a large two story home in Fountain Hills. Phoenix Hardwood Floors just finished installing over 3,000 sq ft of quality, hand-scraped, birch wood flooring. The scope of the task at hand, and the thought of such a large installation taking place (while we live here), was very intimidating and quite scary for our family. The project was a very ambitious undertaking for anyone. We couldn't be more pleased with the quality of work and the terrific customer service and communication. Our very first impression of Phoenix Hardwood Floors was when the co-owner, Mark, came to our home to provide us with a quote. Mark spent an entire Saturday at our home asking questions and gathering information that would enable him to provide us with a detailed and accurate quote. He was instrumental in helping us make decisions about what we really needed, and why some of our ideas were not in our best interest. Mark met with us at the warehouse for over 2 hours to show us tons of flooring samples and then went out of his way to obtain the samples that weren't available at that time. We had to be sure that we made the right choice. Once we chose the flooring--WE BEGAN TO WORRY about all of the coordination and logistics of this gigantic project. Our expectations/standards are set extremely high. I am pleased to tell you that the minute we met Dan, co-owner (we started to call him "The Wood Master"), we could see how passionate he is about providing the very best quality of work. Dan is a perfectionist that takes his skill and the reputation of Phoenix Hardwood Floors very seriously. From start to finish, Dan and his entire crew worked meticulously to carefully place each piece of wood. Some weeks they even worked all weekend to achieve their install goals. The floor is stunning. Dan was on site every day throughout the entire install job, working tirelessly, shoulder to shoulder with the guys. Daniel Owens and Mark Williams (Phoenix Hardwood) are single-handedly the best contractors I have ever worked with. Our firm is located in one of the Roosevelt District's converted historic homes. Dan and Mark began to surpass my expectations during the consultation when they offered to work nights, weekends and the Christmas holiday in order to finish the project without requiring our offices to be closed. We trusted Phoenix Hardwood enough to allow them completely unmonitored access to the building and they were responsible enough to secure the building to our specifications each time they left. Phoenix Hardwood had their work cut out for them when we asked them to refinish exposed wood flooring, restore carpet covered wood flooring and install new hardwood in our upstairs landing area. Restoring unexposed hardwood is always risky but Phoenix Hardwood found a solution to every "problem" to include replacing and matching all of the wood in one office. Dan and Mark provided me with countless stain blends and finish samples in order to find the perfect natural color that would tie all of the rooms together. Aside from moving the office furniture out of their workspace we did not have to give our flooring project a second thought. We appreciate the sacrifice Dan and Mark made by working at night, on weekends and over Christmas so that we could keep our doors open for business. This company is very professional and does perfect work, from my opinion. I had them come out and install an engineered hardwood floor, I purchased the wood through them as well, they had good options for flooring. I told them what kind of wood over the phone I was interested in, and they brought samples that I liked. I would recommend to anyone of my friends or family. They did a very good job with clean up as well. Dan was the installer, and Mark is who I met with for the consultation. They were both the owners, and I felt really good knowing both the owners were involved in both processes of the quote and the installation. The floor I had done was about 1290 sqft, and the price was very fair for the amount of work done. The floors look like a million dollars! read more

I highly recommend Phoenix Hardwood Floors. We were in a time crunch to get our floors done and they were able to start the project the week after we hired them. They installed hardwood flooring to our family room, kitchen, breakfast area and hall and did an exceptional job. Dan's attention to detail went way beyond my expectations. They also refinished our 30 year old herringbone wood floor and it looks amazing -- better than new! They removed all my furniture and replaced it when the job was done and cleaned up after themselves. Truly enjoyed working with the co-owners. Once we agreed on the contract, work went extremely quickly. No detail was overlooked--old carpet entirely removed from the house, matching grain, color, and finish with our existing oak floor, moving furniture and even smaller items in and out, baseboards replaced with precision, and doors remilled and aligned to go with the new floor level. Had them refinish the floors at my grandpas house. It's an old house and the carpet was pulled up to discover the wood floors were in rough shape. The floors ended up looking brand new practically, and it was dust free. Great experience.! Would recommend! read more
