While I was initially patient regarding delays caused by storm-related work, communication throughout the project was poor. I was never given a clear schedule, and the crew arrived on multiple occasions without any prior notice. While monitoring the work from my security cameras, I became concerned that the crew was leaving before completing the agreed-upon services. I made several calls attempting to reach someone before they left, hoping to avoid further delays. When the owner returned my call, he spoke to me in a manner I found disrespectful and unprofessional, including making insulting comments and telling me that he did not need my business. Although Mr. Young later apologized and I apologized for repeatedly calling, the entire experience left a negative impression. The office receptionist was courteous and professional, and I appreciated her apology for the situation. Overall, the lack of communication, unannounced visits, and the owner's behavior are the reasons I will not use this company again. It's unfortunate because I had planned to hire them for additional projects in the future, but I will be seeking another company instead.

I recently hired Genius Roof to reroof my home and I strongly recommend this company. I had several…read moredifferent roofing companies give me bids on installing a new roof. I was very impressed with the management team at Genius Roof. They are both college graduates, very courteous, and very knowledgeable about all different aspects of roofing. They had to coordinate with my contractor who was adding a screen porch to my house. They also coordinated with a spray foam company to add additional foam to some areas that could only be accessed when the roof was off. My house had several decorative metal dormer vents that were in very bad shape. Instead of replacing them they suggested that I could just remove them since my house was spray foamed and they weren't useful. They installed Owens Corning lifetime full replacement shingles. When the crew came they removed the old roof and installed the new one in two days. They were very meticulous about picking up any trash from the project. They even had an employee come by the next day to do another search for any miscellaneous nails or shingles. I am very pleased with my new roof. I have had several friends & neighbors compliment me on how great it looks.

When they finally did show up unannounced on a Sunday morning at 7:40, they did a botched gutter guard repair on one corner of the house and nothing else. The repair person, Bryan, apparently thought nobody was home since I didn't open any blinds or make any noise and thought he could get away with billing me for the whole job. I have high gutters and can't check them myself, however, I watched everything that was done through the blinds for the 1 hour that they were "on the job". I let Justin know that Bryan had lied about doing the complete job and there was no way I was going to pay $600 for an unsatisfactory gutter guard repair and an incomplete job, and more so, didn't appreciate Bryan lying about it and trying to rip me off. I was told that they would call me back and schedule another person to get the job done but they didn't follow through with that either. Just as well, they obviously can't do the job anyway.
