Besides your usual popcorn and sweets, they also have a Baskin Robbins where you can get ice cream and sundaes. There are some tables in the lobby area if you are a bit early... although it is next to a number of restaurants if you do want a bite to eat before or after your film. During peak times it can be difficult to get in and out of the leisure park and sometimes difficult to find parking. However, it is convenient and saves us from having to drive further to find a cinema.

The cinema is clean and tidy with lots of clean toilets so no worries about getting stuck in a queue before the film starts! The seats are not great for children as the angle of the incline of the auditorium is not as steep as the more modern ones so they can;t see over the seat in front without an uncomfortable plastic seat insert that doesn't allow them to sit back - they have to sit upright. They do a movie mob screening every Sat and Sun morning 10.30am and school holidays where you pay a couple of quid per child and adults get in free so really worth going to. On the website it will be down as the 'kids club' screening. Normally relatively recent films so it is a bargain.

Friendly and helpful staff, a great bar and luxurious large seats and for extra comfort in all twelve screens inculding the infomus Dirctors Lounge The Directors Lounge is a grand as it sounds, dressed with its leather love seats and loads of extra room to stretch you legs and for even more luxury backs onto a extra luxuries bar area "The Directors Bar" were you can order champagne to go. Or at least to take into the screen to watch movie and enjoy, the whole experience of the place is less then cheap, as they have not cut corners anywhere. Coming to watch a movie at showcase cinema de lux Leicester is like going to see a film as one of the stars on a movie premier night in London or New York, without the red carpet of course. There are even restraints that allow you to dine at within the cinema complex, if you fancy making a whole evening of it. So that puts a stop on the old fashioned, having to find a near by eatery and ending up being late to see the film. All this just adds a fiel layer to your enjoyment of the night out. It is perhaps the smallest movie theatre I have ever been to, but it is better than not having one…read moreat all! While it is conveniently located between two car parks, unfortunately it only has 2 screens. This, paired with the relatively short run of movies, means you do have to time your outing to the cinema carefully so you don't miss the movie you want to see. The lobby is also quite small, with two cash registers... one for tickets and the other for concessions. They do offer a nice selection of snacks, including a small pick n' mix area. The seats are... well, they're definitely out of date with today's modern cinema experience. They are not very comfortable and if someone sits in front of you... depending on how tall you are, you could see a small bit of their head or you may have a lot of difficulty seeing the screen without having to lean to one side. There are more seats in Screen 1 than Screen 2 as well. Check out their website as they do have some discounted prices on certain nights... although I guess it would depend on what movie they happen to be showing, but it can definitely be worth it. Overall, could use an update, but it is nice to not have to go out of town to catch a movie once in awhile.

Conversely a lot of Hollywood blockbusters that you'd expect to make it here don't, which is also disappointing. As is the price tag - which is no less than what you'd pay at a big, metropolitan cinema with large rooms and comfortable seating! On the plus side, they do have a cheap night once a week, when films are half price - so if you're lucky enough to find a film you actually want to watch here, you can see it on the cheap.
