They've got three machines that let you…read moreupload photos in every way imaginable, including USB, SD, MicroSD, Bluetooth, DVD, etc. Edit your photos right on the machine, crop, pick sizes and borders, and then submit the order. Because they print the photos in the back, you have someone who guarantees your quality and makes sure you got what you were looking for. Diamond Photos also has a huge selection of photoframes, and they do digital colorization of old photographs (see your great grandparents in color, restore a damaged photo, etc.), as well as lots of different photo gifts. The one thing I don't like is having to pay cash for amounts under 10GBP, which is most of our orders, and we never carry cash. They ought to just accept Contactless payments. Last time I came in my husband and I were talking about how we've had such awful service from Three Mobile for a month, and we've been trying to figure out why. The guy at the photo shop overheard and finally gave us the explanation Three Mobile has been unable to provide. I think this is partly due to the lack of user-friendliness and quality of home photo printing (surely a business opportunity there) but also these shops have been very good at reinventing themselves. These days, you can still get the basic photo printing service and the photo machines there accept photos on almost any electronic media. Besides paper, they also print onto hats, t-shirts, keyrings, mugs and other gift items. I think they're missing a slight trick in not allowing customers to play with the images/backgrounds on screen before printing - a cinch with modern computing packages. I've also used them for converting some older videos onto DVD, which is a useful service. Having them now in digital format will hopefully fullproof them for awhile at least. My sister also popped in here on Sunday to go some photos done for a visa. The service was fast and we walked out with the 4 photos and images burnt onto disc for £7. Snappy Snaps still meet a need in this digital age and they did provide a snappy service.

Here is my point of view: I go there to process films from non digital camera and I was disappointed 100% of the time by the service. Last minute additional fee because they considered they worked fast, random extra charge for cross processing happens sometimes, poor quality of scans with extra high compression...I've obviously never been hassled and the job was always done eventually but I always got that bitter feeling that it wasn't an easy experience. The only enjoyable feature to me is the 30 minutes processing while you do groceries or something, but you have to pay for it ! I probably used their services about 10 times because the proximity was convenient but I wish there was another shop available. Unfortunately only large business chains seem to hold on in London and this industry is not especially growing. The prospect of a local competitor opening is unlikely.

We have done studio shoots here and still use their family portraits. They have made passport photos for all of us. They have made prints, they've made cards, calendars, mugs, even photo tote bags for the grandparents. Most…read moreonline companies have set templates, which I found annoying but The Photo Book Store have, by far, the best system with the flexibility I was looking for. Their software is easy to use and I could create each page individually to my exact requirements. In fact it is fun seeing the book come together on screen. For those who'd prefer to use templates, there are seemingly endless page layouts and design ideas to choose from as well. Additionally, the customer service I received was friendly and helpful, the book arrived in very good time and I was really impressed with the quality of the finished product. Worth every penny! They have a good selection of digital cameras and accessories, binoculars and digital radios. It's also useful when you want to print out your digital photos. I still have an old 35mm camera and thankfully they still film for my trusted camera. I never had any problems with anything I bought from them. I know they are a bit more expensive than shopping online, but their advice and the fact that I can have a look at what I'm buying is worth the extra money. And after all, I'm supporting my local high street!
