My most recent visit was in early June, and I loved the several eternities in a day exhibit. How tactile and fascinating! This place has a killer permanent exhibition and even the exhibitions I haven't been as in love with have something interesting to say, so I will keep coming back. The service is always helpful, and there are some nice spots to sit and enjoy the vibe (including the fun top-shaped chairs). I miss the ping pong tables they used to have...but no complaints found here! Go visit asap.

I also loved that there are a few dining options inside, making it easy to spend a couple of hours exploring without feeling rushed. One of the best things about the Hammer Museum is that admission is free, and they offer generous hours, which makes it a great activity whether you're a local or just visiting Los Angeles. The exhibitions were stunning. I loved the mix of contemporary and modern art, along with works from iconic artists such as Van Gogh and Monet. Every gallery felt thoughtfully curated, and there was always something interesting to discover around the next corner. And the museum store? Absolutely beautiful. I honestly wanted to buy everything. From art books to unique gifts and home items, it's worth visiting on its own. If you're in Los Angeles and looking for a relaxing and inspiring way to spend an afternoon, I highly recommend the Hammer Museum. I'll definitely be back! Note: While the museum has featured works by artists such as Van Gogh and Monet in certain exhibitions or collections, the exhibits rotate, so what's on display may vary during your visit.

Pros: -free parking lot. If by any chance that lot is full, there is 2 hour free street parking directly outside of the parking lot. I visited on a Friday a little after 2pm and parking was still available in the lot -the Yoshimoto Exhibit was in two different sections. One was in the main area by the gift shop area and the other you had to exit the building and walk through the garden (that is where the large painting is on display) -the exhibit was free! They do have a little gift shop area where you could purchase things like books, tote bags, hats and postcards. Cons: -none! Overall, an enjoyable experience. Because there weren't descriptions of the art pieces, my visit was brief. However, glad I got to see this exhibit.

The…read moreentire experience was beyond my expectations and I couldn't have wished for a better way to celebrate it. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and filled with creativity. The setup was perfect and beautifully arranged with canvases ready for our class to paint. Autumn and her daughter were so kind to even offer to blow up some balloons for the birthday occasion. One of the other perks of this event was that you can bring whatever you want to eat and drink, which made the night even more special. My high school best friends went all out, catering my favorite Filipino dish, Pancit Palabok, alongside their own delicious culinary appetizers like steak crostini. Since I was celebrating such a milestone birthday, my friends from all walks of life contributed to the potluck feast. We also had Korean Kimbap, Greek hummus & chips, flaky Baklava, creamy Leche Flan, and so much more. The mix of flavors, cultures, and homemade dishes made the night feel even more personal and heartwarming. It was great coming back to Westwood Village which brought me instant memories while I was at UCLA. There is something definitely vibrant about Westwood Village and I love feeling its energy. I do have to give the biggest shoutout to the amazing owner, Autumn Flynn, who was so patient with all of us. She walked us through the step by step process of painting the "Inner Goddess within Ourselves," which made the experience so great. Her guidance and passion made the evening feel therapeutic and allowed everyones creativity shine in the most beautiful way. This was such an unforgettable experience that I hope to experience again very very soon.
