This review is long overdue! As a Christmas gift for my family I booked us all a trip to the moon in January. We had a blast The experience was totally different than anything any of us had tried before. It was especially cool for my parents who had never tried VR or an escape room before! Those 2 elements along with the immersive role playing from the dedicated moon-base staff made for an exceptionally unique and memorable experience none of us will ever forget I must admit - as someone with professional tech experience, a lifelong passion for science, and some amateur improv chops, this was a bit of a Christmas gift for myself too The fact that I had as good a time as the rest of my family (who don't share those interests in the same way I do) is a testament to how great the experience is. TLDR there's a reason Lunar Light Discovery has a spotless 5.0 rating on both Yelp and Google. If you're on the fence about trying this... let this be your sign to just go for it!! read more

What a cool experience! My group was welcomed by Aster and some amazing acting to get us into the story. You were then led into the VR spaceship room, which was the most insane experience! The VR was done so well, and I really enjoyed the immersiveness and the storyline. I actually wish the entire thing could've been VR. I thought the excitement kind of dwindled in the room with the test tubes, and also when we had to go outside to the parking lot to the third section of the experience, which just wasn't as amazing as the beginning. Some points to improve would be a more cohesive storyline, and making a tunnel in the parking lot area so it doesn't break up the visuals. I love escape rooms and the last challenge was pretty elementary, so I can understand that for families but I personally would like a more challenging ending. read more

"To the moon, Alice!" What a cool experience from start to finish! Our group arrived and we were welcomed by Aster and the creator of the Lunar Light Experience, granddaughter of Apollo 14 astronaut Stuart Roosa, Danielle Roosa. Meeting her and chatting about NASA and her grandfather (famous photo of astronauts playing golf on the moon) was the greatest welcome ever. The experience started with a walk to a moon vehicle where we strapped on some VR packs and proceeded to excavate moon rock for blue light from a meteor. After that we met a mad scientist and a lovely robot. Got to play in the lab. The escape room aspect of the event was simple and we got it done quite easily. I imagine this would be great for families with kids too. :) The end, of course, exits through the gift shop where you can get some super cool astronaut stuff. Even Apollo 14 shirts! I highly recommend you stop by and spend some time in the moon! Also, make sure you get your space photo op! I wore the right jacket for that. ;) Ps: Free parking! read more

Cool experience start to finish. Stuff like this is why I enjoy being Yelp Elite. I think it'd be a blast with older kids. Technology, escape room puzzle, and character actors doing a play all the way through. Takes a little over an Hour. Every station is a comfortable temp no need for jackets. You're wearing a backpack at a stage so wear sleeves. The Stars of the show are the Stars... the Actors commit and go through the whole thing in character it's amazing. If you're looking for a fun activity for family members who like to be active - this is the place! From ordering tickets to event time, the Lunar Light team made it so smooth! We were given a warm welcome upon our arrival to "the Moon " , had a short wait where they had games to entertain us and then we were whisked away to our adventure! The staff were all in character- energetic, fun and friendly, gave clear instructions and were so entertaining and enthusiastic! The VR portion was the most fun and just the right amount of time -none of the ppl in our party with mild claustrophobia or sensitivity to motion sickness had any issues. We had the last time slot at 9pm and a party of 7. They added an 8th person (also a staff person or somehow related) who was great to help us by providing "responses/suggestions" along the way so that there were no delays. Huge thanks to Cap Jack, the amazing Stella (Academy there!), DG-33 and the crew for a great time! Ages 11-75 we all had a great time and would highly recommend you gather a group and get up to this "moon"! read more

Absolutely fun experience! Live theater, VR, interactive lab, and escape room all mixed into an intergalactic adventure. My only criticism is I wish everything was connected together to keep the illusion going. Maybe tents to create a biohazard tunnel. Overall still an amazing time. All the actors stay in character and are hilarious. If anyone gets stuck in the adventure or escape room the staff will gently guide or give hints for your success.
