My husband and I have 4 dogs (that we spoil like they are our children) and we instantly felt comfortable sending our elderly dog (along with some props) with Krista for the morning. A few hours later Krista returned our extremely happy Ella after visiting downtown Austin, the green belt and wildflower fields. A few hours later, Krista gave us a sneak peak of some of the unedited photos. As soon as we saw how talented she is we asked her to book us to take more pics of our other dogs. Today Krista dropped off Ella's hardback book, and wow!!!! She truly captured her young-at-heart spirit. I'm not sure how she got so much energy and variety of facial expression in one morning from our girl, but I could not be happier with the quality of the pictures and the book! For our second session we asked Krista to take pictures of our two American Bulldogs at our house. Taking pictures of these two children is no simple task... One is a 17 month old female, 95lbs and in heat....and the other is 22 month old male and 85lbs... We got to watch Krista in action with our pups and she truly is some kind of dog-whisperer! I requested an onsite shoot, since I was still leery of leaving the house with a newborn. She agreed, scheduled an appointment, and arrived right on time with a car full of charming props, backdrops, and professional lighting. Our daughter was fussy and uncooperative for the first hour, but Sheri was very patient and comforting. We took a break to feed our baby, and once she was content, we tried again. This time Sheri was able to mold her into the cutest poses and easily change out the props and backgrounds to get a nice variety of shots. Sheri was punctual, professional, and sent us the edited photos in a very timely manner. We are so pleased with the end results! You cannot tell they were done on location, instead of a studio. Somehow she was able to make our little sweetie look even more adorable than she already is. We couldn't resist purchasing every shot. I went back and forth with the thought of getting newborn photos done of our little girl. On a…read morewhim, I found Debra. We chatted and I immediately knew that it had to be done. With a newborn and a husband back at work, Debra worked with our schedule to get us into her amazing studio. I think "amazing studio" is an understatement. She has transformed her home into a place where magic happens. As an art major myself, the numerous backdrops, floors, lighting options, and props galore made me want to spend the day there just looking at everything! Speaking of, we actually DID spend the day there. Our little girl might not have been the most cooperative but Debra has been called the "baby whisperer" for good reason! It took my husband and I by surprise to see Debra work her baby magic since we have been dealing with an ongoing fussy period for weeks now. And, while it took a good handful of hours to get the perfect pics, it was worth every second. There is a tiny parking lot in her building but there was street parking available. She had set the heat on a cold day and even started playing baby music on her Alexa for our son.
