Drena is one of those photographers that listens to what you want and are comfortable with. She is able to capture the beauty from within. I had such a fantastic experience during my shoot. Everything was perfect, from the makeup stylist, hair stylist and hotel. Even the champagne was a great touch. read more

Drena was a dream to work with! She's so light and fun and she seemed to think of everything! We have little kids so we were hoping for just a couple good photos but she captured so many wonderful shots that it was tough to not want them all! She really captured the fun we had during the photo shoot. I loved working with her!! read more

I absolutely love capturing connections between people. I specialize in couples photography but also do many other forms of portraiture and weddings/elopement. Let me show you some of the fun that happens at my shoots!

History

Established in 2010.

After training for a photography career at the Art Institute of Pittsburg I pursed my own photography business in San Antonio Texas. I have been steadily working to build a sturdy foundation in the business and community. I continue training and am a member of the Professional Photographers of America. I am passionate about constantly training to find new fresh techniques and build my knowledge base. I love collaborating with others to build a beautiful shoot.

Hi I'm Drena, owner and photographer at Photography by Drena. I officially started my journey into professional photography in 2010, with the support of my wonderful husband and 3 lovely children. As a lover of the arts, art school made sense, not only did it deepen my knowledge of photography but it heightened my love of art history. I tell you this because it is a vital part of my business. I have a desire and devotion to document your personal history in a compelling and timeless way, which you would be proud to display in your home. My ever-growing understanding and love of photography as well as my devotion to my clients has helped my business flourish over the past few years. I love getting to know my clients & form friendships with them as I get to watch their families grow.
