Meet the Business Owner: Sheena S.

I studied and worked at Cabrillo College from 2004-2008. I began tutoring middle school, high school, and college level math in private one-on-one sessions in 2004.  I started tutoring in the Math and Physics Learning Centers and worked as an assistant in the physics lab at Cabrillo in 2006.  I transferred to the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) in Spring 2009.  I earned a B.S. in Astrophysics in 2011. I entered the graduate program at UCSC in 2012 focusing on ground-based experimental particle physics. I had the amazing opportunity of working at the European Council for Nuclear Research (CERN) for the entire year of 2015. This inspired my thesis research topic analyzing proton-proton collision data to search for dark matter candidates in the low mass spectrum. I graduated with my Ph.D. in 2018.
