Id like to mention that I have had the privilege to frequent day spas and receive the classic facials and massages. So I feel that I have enough experience to know quality in service. Im new to Tampa and walked by PiaDay Spa. It is well established and tons of reviews so I figured they must be doing something right. I ended up purchasing a facial with microdermabrasion and a scalp treatment which wasn't inexpensive by any means but it's a day spa and you pay for that time to get your treatment and relax. Timing wise, these two services alone would both have me at the spa for at least two hours. -----I was there for an hour and 25 minutes. Aside from being gipped on time considerably, the estheticians technique was rushed, and lacked serious intention. The overall vibe was lackluster and inexperienced (just doing a job to have a job ) I felt like I wasted my money a little bit so I was disappointed! read more

Best aromatherapy massage! Audrey was super sweet during check-in and greeted me when I first walked in. I booked my birthday massage appointment with Don and I was so glad I did! He was super detailed with the difference between a relaxation and an aromatherapy massage after I had asked. I was able to pick from 4 different scents (eucalyptus, noni fruit, lavender, and lemongrass). I went with his recommendation, the noni fruit. A true aromatherapy experience from the light lavender scent in the room to the noni fruit scent from the massage oil. Don asked me before the massage began if the temperature was comfortable on the massage table. He also checked to make sure I was also good with the pressure during the massage. I loved the cool neck towel too! I only wish that my massage was longer because the hour flew by way too fast. I will be back! read more

I will start my saying that my esthetician, Lisa, was fantastic. I got a microdermabrasion facial with her, and she was extremely thorough, especially when doing extractions. She was super friendly and made me feel so welcome. The same can't be said for the receptionist/owner. They have a virtual, COVID-safe process where you fill out forms and check in your car and they text you to tell you to come in. I got the text, and the receptionist told me she couldn't find record of my reservation. She then went and got the owner, and the owner was very curt and seemingly annoyed. She hurriedly asked for my name (which she should have gotten from the initial receptionist, it's not that hard to pass along), and just overall wasn't super pleasant. Didn't offer me water or tea, despite the fact that the tea was sitting right there. After the facial, she mentioned to me twice that I could come check out when I was ready when I was just trying to sit and relax for a bit longer. Lisa mentioned she was leaving a complimentary sample of products for me at the desk, and I realized after I left that the owner never gave it to me. Half the experience of going to the spa is the calming atmosphere, and the atmosphere at Pia's is not inviting or calming, largely due to the snobby attitude I received. Joke's on her, because I always tip at least 25% and spend good money on skincare. The lime green waiting room is also a....choice. The girls at SkinNV are SO much nicer, and I'll be taking my business there from now on. If Lisa moves spas, I would definitely go to her again! read more

I decided to treat myself to a spa day for my birthday this year and of course the first place I thought of was Pia's since I have been a client for other services over the years and have always had a great experience. Started my day with a wonderful Mani and Pedi from Magali and then an incredible deep tissue massage from Don. I've had 1000+ massages in my life and I have to say Don is easily in the top 3 in terms of his calming and charming personality, obvious skill and experience with my various sport related issues, and just a relaxing experience start to finish. Then once I was already super relaxed, my Perfecto Facial from Lidia was just the literally perfect end to the day - one of the best facials I've ever had and I was jello by the time I left. I am cursed/blessed with blonde hair so I have very light colored eyebrows and eyelashes. I'm going on vacation next week and I don't want to lug a large make up bag with me so I decided to get my eyebrows and lashes tinted at Pia Esthetics Day Spa. Luckily, the spa was able to squeeze me in for a last minute appointment during my lunch break. The moment I stepped inside the spa all of my stress just melted away. The tranquil music and aromatherapy oils really does wonders for the body and soul! Ana did such an amazing job on my eyebrows! She tinted my eyebrows in several stages so we could get the perfect shade. She also did an amazing job of shaping my brows and shaped them so that they were "natural looking". I forgot to bring my glasses with me yesterday so I came back today to get my eyelashes tinted. I admit I was scared to death to have my lashes tinted, but the process was almost pain free. My eyes are very sensitive so it did sting just a little near the end, but my mother taught me as a child that "Pain Equals Beauty". The slight discomfort was well worth it! The eyebrow tinting, eyebrow waxing, and eyelash tinting cost was $54 before tip. At less than $20 a procedure I think this was a great deal and I don't have to use mascara or an eyebrow pencil for the next four weeks! The idea of not dealing with mascara is very appealing so I may be treating myself regularly to this spa service at Pia Esthetics! read more
