Please use this company if you, too, want to receive these fantastic customer benefits...:
a) use pianotaxi if... your piano does not turn up on the chosen day because of administrative errors entirely on their part (you are told the wrong time to be in your home that is out by a number of hours, plus the delivery crew are not given your number and no-one contacts you all day) even though you have everything ready to receive the piano. Instead, your piano will appear 8 days later - this is only after you have been contacting the company each day to be fobbed off with vague promises as having it 'soon as'.
b) use pianotaxi if... you want your piano to be carted on a merry 300+ mile round trip back to their Manchester depot and on the way to all their other drop-offs, rather than the 4.8 miles down the road you had originally intended.
c) use pianotaxi if... you want them to renege on their promise that your piano will now be delivered for free, given that it was no fault of your own that the piano was not delivered first time. This assurance will be made to you by the staff member overseeing the company that week and manning all the phones as your single point of contact. Once the boss has returned from his holiday, however, he will decide that the member of staff 'did not have the authority to do that' - even if you then point out that they made a verbal contract with you as the sole representative of pianotaxi for that entire week. You will have to give in to this back-pedalling because your piano is now being held to ransom.
d) use pianotaxi if... instead of being given the option of paying in cash on the door, which is offered to all their other customers, you are happy for them to reduce you to tears on the phone when they insist that you get to a bank and pay the money into their bank account with just 1.5 hours' warning, else they will not deliver your piano the next day - because they do not trust YOUR integrity to pay! This is despite the fact that you are finding it hard, by this point, to trust them an inch and pay for their non-service upfront.
e) use pianotaxi if... you are happy for 'the boss' of pianotaxi (whose name is Martin by the way) to refuse to speak to you when you ask for him, or allow you to even know his name or a contact number despite so proudly representing his company. Instead, after you have paid the money before the piano has even been delivered to you, you will be instead delighted to receive this farfetched and sexist email:
''you are the 1st unhappy customer due to a staff mistake when nobody was at your addres , you have been stroppy and expected a Piano delivery for free.....
do not reply to this email or deal with my company again
The boss''
(I was of course always polite and calm on the telephone and in my emails).
I am sure that after reading this glowing review, you will choose this particular 'leading piano company', rather than the many others that would fail to succeed to their peculiar brand of customer service.
