I'm very glad I came across this particular store because not only was it easy to find but we easily found everything we needed. Walking in, the displays are a feast for the eyes. Everything is organized so well and decorated so nicely. The sections are easy to navigate. There is more in this store than just wine and liquor as well. There's a nice assortment of candies, teas, and other specialty food items. The people who work in the store are also very friendly and helpful.

Quenelles were a Lyon specialty along with pralines brioche and we were eager to try it since we loved dumplings. They did not disappoint one bit. A saucy creamy delight with 2 large dumplings, the french might do little portions but the Lyonnais don't skimp on the quenelles. While on the one hand I wish they'd branch out and quenelles become a dish served here in the US, on the other it preserves its novelty and appeal by staying within Lyon borders.

Ambiance - Good size food hall. 3 butchers. 4-5 charcuterie shops. 7 bakeries. 11 cafes, bars, restaurants. 2 wine merchants. 5 seafood, oyster bars. 2 fish shops. 4 delis. 4 cheese shops. 3 produce shops. etc. Service - Overall good. Caters to both locals and tourists. Saw many tour groups. Price - Depends on what you buy, eat, or drink. I felt reasonably priced. I felt like we were the only ones in the market, very quiet and half the stalls were closed and many of them were covered with graffiti. We have been to many food markets across Europe and this was by the most disappointing. We didn't stay long. I would not recommend this to another tourist.
