I went in with a bad tooth that obviously needed to be pulled. I had excellent dental insurance at the time and instead of just taking one X-ray and extracting the tooth.. they did multiple x-rays for their reasons on not getting the "correct angle" they did not give me the proper sedatives to reduce or relieve any pain. I pretty much felt the whole experience!! once I finally made it through it. I told whatever the insurance did not cover. I would pay in cash. They gave me a total cash balance of $179 and some change, they then wrote me a receipt saying paid in full!! well!!, some months later I receive a bill in the mail for $89 and some few change, when I called them to ask them what the issue was. they tried to say that my insurance did not cover what they said they was going to cover in the beginning, and said that I would have to pay out-of-pocket the remainder that they claim my insurance wouldn't pay!! 159 Is what they claim my insurance paid and out-of-pocket I paid 179 and some change, now im expected to pay another 89 dollars out of pocke?? I'm just wondering on what planet does it cost almost $500 to have 1 tooth pulled??

After 30 years with another dentist I moved to Picayune and had to find a dentist. I looked over…read morethe internet and made a decision to go to Picayune Smiles. They took me right away for X-rays and cleaning...my initial visit. Sandy was my Hygienist. She was great and did a good job. I had lost a cap and they made an appointment within a few days. Dr. Berthelot and her assistant, Gabriela, did an excellent job replacing the cap. Then I needed an infected tooth extracted. They gave me an appointment and it was with Dr. Berthelot. She is an excellent dentist. They were gentle and I felt no pain as she and her assistant, Gabriela, worked on my tooth. I thought there would be some pain but no, none. I know I will enjoy being their patient in the future. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The office is very modern and their equipment is high tech, first class. I could not recommend anyone more than Picayune Smiles.

I went to see Dr. Penley because a piece of tooth broke off and was causing me excruciating pain;…read morehowever, since that tooth was going to be removed by Dr. Joseph Daho - (IN ONLY 12 SHORT DAYS - SO WHY COULDN'T I POSSIBLY PUT UP WITH A LOOSE PIECE OF TOOTH THAT CAUSES EXCRUCIATING PAIN EACH TIME MY TONGUE TOUCHED IT?) After all. It wasn't their mouth in pain!! Dr. Penley's fit me into her schedule within a day or so. Upon arrival an assistant took me in an exam room and I was treated as though she WAS WORKING FOR ME. AS THOUGH SHE WAS THERE TO TAKE CARE OF ME!!! She made me feel as though I truly had nothing to worry about.
