We used to be obsessed with their roasted broad beans and their chilli bites that we couln't find anywhere else. They do a large range of sarnies, ciabattas and rolls. It's a lovely place tahat is not over priced and makes a change from the likes of Greggs. Let's get on to the food, shall we? The have some prepared food, but the big hit is their gelato, which was voted a top choice by readers of Time Out London and their Panini. For the panini they start with fresh bread, then slice high-quality meats and cheeses to order, such as prosciutto di Parma, speck, you name it. I had the breaded chicken breast panini with sliced provolone and sun-dried tomatoes. It was absolutely delicious and astonishing how such a simple sandwich can be so good. The service was great too. The Italian dudes were very pleasant and seemed to have lots of regulars that they were on a first-name basis with and greeted with a "ciao tarde". The locals seem to flock to this place pretty frequently. The owners new customers by name (always a great sign), and there was a line when we got there (which moved quickly). Plenty of pastas, paninis, antipastas, and more. We placed a massive order for 5 people and sat outside. Everything was delivered quickly and we ate while reaching our forks over each other's plates to make sure everything was tried, and nothing was missed. I didn't spend too much time looking, but there is a little shop as well which offers different sauces, pastas, etc. for purchase. They all look delicious, and great for a gift basket.

Based on the atmosphere and quality of wine, I love this little spot. It is so cosy. We were the only customers in the store and received superb service. The owner runs this location and a few other shops, plus hosts food tents at festivals during Christmas. She came over to our table and made some wine recommendations and gave us a bowl of crisps on the house. My partner, Seth S., and I both ordered the Pinot Noir from Romania. It was delightfully full-bodied and smooth. The lighting is dimmed just enough to encourage good conversation and a comfortable atmosphere. There are two main rooms for seating, each with groupings of chairs or booths around bistro style tables. The art and decor feel like a brasserie. I would highly recommend The Deli for a delicious glass of wine (or 3) and great conversation with friends.

Its a wonderful deli, on the High Street in Boldmere, with outdoor seating - which is superb when the sun comes out! The breakfasts are awesome. Superb sausages, great bacon, exceptional bread, (the deli sells some of the best bread in Birmingham). 2 succulent sausage, 2 bacon, fried egg, 2 half tomatoes, mushrooms. toast, quality butter. Its one of the best in Birmingham, (I rate it joint 2nd). The staff are great, headed by Pip the owner and her team of assistants, (including sons). I went in one day to buy a balsamic glaze and he sent me away with the recipe instead!
