    Salmon Hash
    Bindu A.

We tried this place recommended by our guide on our trip to Stratford Upon Avon, and we totally loved it. We were pleasantly surprised by the quick service even at a rush hour. My favorite among the things we ordered was the smoked salmon hash. The hash provided the required base for the well done salmon. It tasted perfect. Quesadilla and the burger were pretty good as well. Everything about this cafe was very cute! We ordered their brownie, that just melted in the mouth.

Sweetcorn fritters at The Boston Tea Party

I don't normally get to go out for breakfast these days, one Tuesday off work and it was all going wrong. An early eating out treat seemed the only way to reset. I had first come across the Boston Tea party in Exeter, which was a huge room upstairs of second hand leather sofas, that (on the condition you ordered) was an shabby chic palace in which to relax, so I was intrigued to visit the Stratford Upon Avon branch. This high ceilinged room, with old school chairs, was a little less relaxing but just as fun. The menu was all a bit of a maze of sweetcorn fritters, seasonal greens and other delights that told me that these guys know that bacon eggs and pancakes is not enough to drag us away from most of our own kitchens.. read the rest on https://alexmorrall.com/boston-tea-party-pure-breakfast-bliss/

The cutest cafe across from Shakespeare's birth house! If you're traveling from afar, this is a great place to sit, rest, and regroup because they have a variety of food and drinks! Wifi is available and service here is great! The food here really is amazing! From the salmon bagel to their pastas, everything is very fresh. Order first before you sit down. If you want a quiet place, go up the stairs near the main entrance. The tables upstairs are a little more private and great for chatting. Downstairs there are also comfy couches for you to sit on if you just want to order a cup of coffee.

We had breakfast at Boston Tea Party before going across the street to tour Shakespeare's Birthplace. It's a very chill, welcoming environment, with a very affordable breakfast. It operates like a pub, where you find a table, then order at the front, where they will then bring the food to you. There is ample seating on the first floor, and it indicates there is more upstairs. We ordered porridge, yoghurt with granola, coffee, and house tea, which came out quickly (within 5-8 minutes) and was extremely tasty. We really enjoyed this perfect start to the day.

This is a nice place for breakfast or brunch .. We landed here thanks to Shakespeare centre and I was starving. Service here is great but not quick... Had organic chai tea and salmon with avocado on toast... Divine .. Looks touristy but a great place to be... If you want something quick .. Go elsewhere ...

Voted the best café, breakfast & lunch in Stratford upon Avon. Rightly so!

My partner described this as "honestly this could be the best breakfast I've ever had" - and she's pretty particular about her food!! Great variety, friendly and helpful service, and a lovely ambiance. We would come back every day if we were staying in Stratford for longer. Top marks!!

Huge BTP in the heart of Stratford Upon Avon! Plenty of seating both on ground level and upstairs. Good range of cakes/pastries! Can be a tad expensive but you get a lot of food for your money. I bought a medium mocha for £2.90 (large being £3.30)

We really enjoyed this cute, quirky restaurant. Burgers, Benedict's, and BLT's were all fantastic. Highly recommend it.

Only the two to three kittens were actively playing under the influence of catnip. Customers are free to roam around the café and use the couple of toys scattered around. General admission for a 90-minute visit costs £6 per person. Even if not purchasing one of the packages that include food and beverages, you are free to order from the menu during the visit. My brother ordered a pot of Darjeeling Loose Leaf Tea for £3. When booking a slot online, you also select a table. From review recommendations, we picked Table 8 by the stairs for our 3:30 PM Thursday session. That day it was the table furthest from all the cats staying by the entrance. Two other parties were present when we came. A good number of tables were packed in the narrow room that I had to squeeze by just to sit down. It was sweltering outside and inside only had fans, so the enclosed space was slightly unbearably hot. Downstairs has a basement floor that was cooler, but only two cats were there, both of which were sleeping. We only stayed for forty minutes before escaping outside where there was at least a breeze.

After a fun afternoon touring Shakespeare's closets (wore a lot of codpieces, as it turns out…read more Randy old playwright!), an afternoon tea was a must-have break. A very nice lady (Chloe) in Nash's House (one of the aforementioned closets, although the house is apparently not there any more. Long story. Visit Stratford if you want to know more) recommended Crabtree & Evelyn. "But we want tea, not skin lotion!" we barked, yet Chloe was resolute. "No!" was her riposte. "Make thee to Crabtree & Evelyn," she commanded, even pronouncing the ampersand in full, if you don't mind, "for their teas are indeed high, and their scones laden with clotted cream from the most clotted of available cows." (I apologize for the flowery prose. Stratford does this to a person. Be thankful it's not iambic pentameter.) So it turns out that upstairs from the lotion shoppe there is a petite and very lovely tea shoppe, the whole thing being in a house of some historic significance...just like every other joint in town. We ordered teas, coffees, and juices for our troop, and a selection of delicious confections: Millionaire Shortbread (shortbread with caramel and chocolate on it), Victoria Sponge, fudge brownie, and scones both with and without clotted cream, jam, and butter. Ridiculous. Absolutely bloody ridiculous, that's what it was. Good, that is, my dear friends. If you've got tastebuds, they're crying out for a bit o' this delectable treatery. The cream justifies the existence of bovines worldwide; the jam is a poem to preserved fruit; the lemon curd is a soliloquy on citrusy stuff from Kurdistan (probably); and the scones -- one of which *had sultanas in it* (be still my beating and somewhat-more-lard-laden heart) -- were warm and moist just exactly where they should be moist. Heaven. And we had the added theater of being chased around the joint by a persistent bee, for whom no manner of tempting with a pot of jam would do, until he was sprayed with disinfecting soap and smushed by one of the nice tearoom gals. Quite an experience, no? Visit, and be well. You can even buy lotion to deal with the (completely worth it) cellulite that will be an inevitable consequence. (JOKE!)

It was by pure chance that just as I passed by McKechnies, my eye was caught by two phrases "independent" and "Best Cappuccino in the Midlands & North UKBC Heat" (or something to that effect). I had attended the UK Barista Championship South East Heat a few weeks early (again, by pure chance), and, knowing how intense a competition it was, decided to go in and sample the wares. The barista on duty was Kim, the one who'd taken part in the UKBC. I chatted with her about how pressurising it must have been. As it turned out, it was her first time taking part, so kudos for achieving such a result under such intense conditions! As expected, the coffee was pretty darn good. While I was a tad disappointed that I didn't get a pretty squiggle (aka latte art) on top of my foam, the quality of the beverage couldn't be denied. Or maybe there was latte art but it'd disappeared by the time I prised the lid off my takeaway cup of coffee (which does happen, I'll admit). McKechnies uses beans from James' Gourmet Coffee Company, an artisan coffee company based in Hertfordshire. The coffee shop on the whole was warm and welcoming too. Lots of brown (i.e. wood) and felt like a nice place to get away from it all in case you're overwhelmed by the sheer number of tourists outside. All in all, a definite place to visit if you're in this arae.
