Located in an outer neighborhood (you can take a bus from Pizazza Venezia to within a couple of blocks of the restaurant), we had a late reservation but entered to find the comfortable main rooms still active and lively. When our waiter realized we spoke English, he sought out the owner who helped us navigate the large menu of choices and with his encouragement, we made a meal of primarily the restaurant's starters. We had crudos and tartares, raw clams, and plates of fish and vegetables. The food was extraordinary. Probably the best seafood I've ever had, and I grew up on the New England coast and now live in NYC -- I think I know fish. We also enjoyed a delicious Sardinian wine and ended the meal with the owner's treat of two small glasses of a strawberry liqueur, house-made. Our only regret was that it was our last day in Rome and couldn't return to try more things on the menu. We appreciated the restaurant's friendliness, helpful service, and most of all, the superb fish and shellfish. If I can't travel to Sardinia, I can only hope to return soon to Rome so we can eat at Eleonara d'Arborea again.

I didn't do the tasting menu as I thought it would be too much food so I opted for the fried rolls with lamb as well as the homemade bread for starters and the carbonara as the main course. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious. The waitress was lovely and recommended a red wine which was a perfect choice to go with my meal. The restaurant decor was very cool, kind of a rustic vibe and I like that you can see straight into the kitchen as the female chef and her team worked. I didn't meet the chef but she waved hello when I was shown to my table and I made a point to stop by to say thank you on my way out and everyone was so gracious and kind. Definitely recommend especially for any of you foodies out there.

Came here with a 50% discount with the TheFork, with 2 pasta, 1 main, 1 side dish, bottle of water and after discount we paid 57€ (114€ would have been steep as I rather had 114 for smaller more gourmet dish than for the quantity). Having said this and although it might seem expensive (the bill would have been double) the foods' portion were really way too much - but I'm getting ahead of myself. Location: right on the main square of Ostia where all the eateries are, the place is very quite during the day, especially at lunch. Ambiance: casual decor, mostly black and white placing with the tv on on MTV. Some might fight annoying but it's definitely a very casual place. Food: the portions are really huge. Having said this we both ordered the specials of the day which meant that we didn't have any oversight of the prices. My linguine con vongole e bottarga felt it had double the amount of pasta that you usually get, the bottarga very generous although the clams were not that great. Some notes of over acidity which, when you make at home isn't there. (Pasta con le vongole is my favorite go to dish)Yet, the linguine with the catch of the day with the cherry tomatoes that my partner had was absolutely amazing. The fish was incredibly fresh, and it's very unusual to use an entire fish to make one single sauce. It was priced at 25€ which is on the high side (usually it's the price for sauces with lobsters) but it was well worth it - again an easy dish that could be for two people. But what I kept on asking the staff to select a SMALL fish, came out to be a 1kg of sole (sogliola/branzino); too much for us and at the price of 60€. Again: ingredients are fresh, the flavours are on the right spots, portions are immense. Service: very attentive and gracious. Wifi provided, you can also charge your phone. My advise is to come here when you're hungry or please confirm with the staff should you choose to go for the fresh catch of the day. It was definitely a surprise, one that we enjoyed, and the price/quality is there, the bill without discount would have been 114€ which I could argue that the food that was served could have very easily served 4 people (bringing the price to less than 30€). Would have enjoyed more if I knew ahead of time and ordered less but that's a minor detail.

The restaurant offers an amuse-bouche of an anchovy in sea salt. It was perfect. Had their version of fiore di zucca but at a higher level. They used ricotta instead of mozzarella. Which was also done we'll. Our pasta dish was spaghetti carbonara and cod with tomato as our main course. We had Nebbiolo wine to bring this all together. Too full for dessert.

We arrived at 8 pm and the restaurant quickly filled - mostly locals, thats always a good sign. Ordered the 7 course tasting menu, that actually ended up being 9 courses. 5 of 9 courses were fish, and all was good - allthough 2-3 of the dishes lacked acidity. There was also a beef tartar on the menu, that was pretty good. But what blew my mind was the very first and the last dish. First of a ceviche that made the angels sing and last was a perfect mini-tiramisu. And its weird that this made me happy, normally I dont even like tiramisu. The staff and owner were friendly and we immidiately felt welcome. They made a few mistakes during the evening, even forgot to ask for drinking orders from half the table. But when friendly we forgive things like this. And plus points for letting the kids share a menu. Price was more than fair, especially considering the quality and creativity. I definetly reccomend this place!

One of my favorite things to eat is pasta so I ate good my entire time in Italy, but for my last evening I had a taste for seafood and this place came up in my search. Sooo glad that it did. Location: it's one of a dozen restaurants like any other you'll find on a quiet little street in Rome. From The outside it's very unassuming, but when you walk in it has the cutest ambiance. I sat outside in the back in what I can only describe as this little garden oasis. The meal: I had the egg chitarrina with prawns and the carmelized octopus. The pasta was simply amazing and full of flavor. Probably the best pasta I had in Roma not that I didn't think they all were the best. The real star was the octopus. This is without a doubt or even the slightest exaggeration one of the best things I've ever eaten. The flavors were insane and it was cooked perfectly. If I didn't order it I would never know it was octopus. For dessert I had the pistachio semifreddo which I thought would be ice cream but it was way better. I can keep going but the bottom line is if you are in Roma don't leave without eating here at least once! I really wanted to go back the next morning before I had to depart to get the octopus again but I couldn't find the time.

For starters, we shared the beef carpaccio. For our main course, we ordered the grilled seafood platter for two. For our first course, we shared the tagliatelle with seabass, cherry tomatoes, bottarga and sea asparagus. Sea asparagus is the texture of green beans and was an interesting find. The seafood platter was huge, and we could've shared one serving. The seafood platter included tuna, seabass, prawns, catalan lobster (i think), and shrimp. It was definitely a seafood feast. For dessert, we shared the homemade fruit gelato. The gelato was served in fruit and nuts that were hollowed out and filled with gelati. The meal was excellent and the service was attentive.
