I have poetic recall of visiting Clinton with my dad when I was a very young child. We stopped into Village Crossing On The Green women's clothing store and were both pleasantly surprised at the selection, quality and styles packed into one cozy store. I must have tried on over a dozen things, and had I not been budget conscious would have gotten many of them. As it was, I ended up with a wonderful stylish rayon tunic with crinkly fabric in deep tealish navy and black. I got some below the knee leggings to go with it....the leggings had extra style as well, sporting voile cuffs. My new fall outfit which I will wear VERY often! You can dress it up, you can dress it down. The perfect outfit. Most of the clothing there is made of luxurious linens, cottons and rayons, my favorite fabrics. The owner has a an extra special eye for garments that are cut in flattering and interesting ways. If this store were in my town in CA I would buy my whole wardrobe there.

I discovered this wonderful little shop thanks to my mom, who lives in nearby Utica. We always make it our priority to stop in to the Village Crossing where we spend hours perusing the colorful merchandise -- and the great sales! -- and having such fun. (One time my mom and I bought matching tops! I've never laughed so hard). The inventory -- lots of comfortable cotton dresses and tunics, some made in the USA -- is right up my alley, and the owner Joyce could not be nicer or more helpful. I am looking forward to my next shopping trip! Make sure you check out this terrific boutique next time you're in the Clinton area. You won't be disappointed.

First off, they're very nice people who work here and they should succeed in this world based only on that, but secondly, they're clever. Also the store itself is very fun, hip, and nice inside. When I went in they were having a free air plant day. You should say wow, they're giving away their product for free? how will they ever make money? well, the rainbow cupboard doesn't just sell air plants, they sell a lifestyle, by which I mean air plant accessories to post to insta. So now, free air plant in hand, was I just going to not spend any money on air plant accessories? that would've been impossible. So they managed to get me to go to a store and buy a thing I otherwise would have passed on just because half of it was free. When it comes down to it, I'm not even mad about it. Now I have a nice little simple air plant. Anyway, at the time of writing I think this is a great gift for a daughter of a certain age, but that may change depending on whatever is cool and I'm too old to really know, so good luck out there.

I almost bought a very expensive patagonia jacket and decide to sleep on it. As I walked out of the store the owner accused me of stealing a hat. There was a dozen cameras all over this tiny store and she was staring us down while we shopped. Can't begin to understand why she thought to accuse me of stealing. Needless to say, I won't be buying the dang jacket!

It's obvious the care that goes into curating the shop and I love that they carry unique gifts for each person on my list. They support other small businesses/artists and the owner/employees are just lovely people in general. The shop is dog-friendly too! What I have found is moldy fruit which was just put out on the shelf, rotten blueberries and strawberries & raspberries. Lettuce is rusty and old, The quality has gone done the drain. If this is what is being stocked, I believe I will need to shop elsewhere for fresh fruit and vegetables. I am sorry to have to say this. This has been my experience for a long time and now. All the vendors are friendly and helpful. Some may take credit cards, but i'd bring cash just in case. Come early to get the best selection. Often there is even entertainment! There is great selection of fruits and vegetables but there are also numerous stands of hand crafted goods including soap, jewelry and art work. The food offering are also great and include homemade gelato, gyros, lemonade and freshly cooked pizza!
