Jeff is an amazing person and a great human being. The store has amazing prices and a wide variety of products. Got my rackets restrung and oh man does it make me happy! Thanks Jeff and the amazing team at Sweet Spot!

I had not used a tennis shop in a while and came up on Sweet Spot. Alfredo (believe name, will…read moredouble-check and update) from the get-go was friendly and helpful. One can tell Alfredo likes tennis and helping people with their tennis needs! The latter, to me, is helpful in these businesses, people who want to help. So I dropped off the racquet (have two) that I have been using for the last 8 or so years. I don't play too often now. Alfredo helped figure out a string, since current strings have no info on them. When he returned to get the frame that was restrung, Alfredo gave a nice smile and, again, so helpful. I waited while another customer was enjoying talking. I waited and then Alfredo helped me. While I was waiting while other customer started talking again: I found grip that bought. The customer ahead of me and myself got to spin the wheel on some sort of giveaway they are doing. Isn't that great! No, I didn't need free things to support a business, but these things really can make the customer feel appreciated when business goes above and beyond! Winner winner! The above was an experience I had having a shopper(this matters so much too sometimes more) so I shared it and here is the specs on the shop 1. A great inventory of shoes, frames, strings, gripes, and all things relating to tennis has more than enough inventory. 2. Great information 3. Excellent stringing services, options and prices 4. I am not sure about the other things in the place; frame repair, grip replacement, head guard replacement. I'm not sure, so I would have to ask 5. Super easy to find 6. Ample parking in back on or street 7. Paperless if want receipt to email, text Thank you so much. Will update when hit with strings!

The path is…read morewell-maintained and has a steady uphill climb that's manageable but still gives you a bit of a workout. It's wide enough for groups to walk side by side, which makes it a nice option for social hikes. Once you reach the top, you can choose from a few different trail options to continue exploring. The highlight is definitely the beautiful view of the city from up high--totally worth the climb. It's especially enjoyable when the weather is cool and pleasant. As there is no shade. There's plenty of parking available, and the restrooms are clean, which is always a plus.

I needed a bit of greenery to relax and enjoy nature. Parking: Lot across, free, but gravel, don't get why they couldn't pave it! The park is very nice, small, with lots of vegetation, benches and picnic tables. I saw a rabbit and lots of squirrels when we arrived, which was very cute! Lots of lovely birds as well. Just one person around, then a couple showed up, nice, quiet people. Then another one, with balloons, a big production, noisy, far from quiet, the type of people who are gonna spoil it for you. And they did break the peace by popping up all the balloons and the dude got angry at us because we are looking at them, slightly annoyed. It is a public space so we should be respectful to each other, but some folks don't get that idea! Lots of planes flying (close to the airport), lots of garbage trucks driving by and utility trucks. And the utility trucks started to race each other on a private lot across. City employees, mind you! Nice, clean restrooms, and water fountains. Mixed feeling about this place, because it is lovely and I liked the wild life (there's also a trail going up I'd like to explore). Cons: too noisy, and some of the people coming here. It is a cute spot for a picnic, I will give it another chance some day, hopefully I'll have better luck!

There are two picnic areas to choose from: Picnic area #1 is roofed while Picnic area #2 is under the trees. What do people love about this place? There are two playgrounds here: one is for kids aged 2-5 while the bigger one is for children aged 5-12. There is also a childcare facility and restroom which is very accessible wherever side of the park you may be. There is also tons of street parking. For the sports buff, there is a tennis court, basketball court, and a football field with stadium. The park could get really busy any moment of the day so if you're planning a party, come early. A group of 20 or less no permit but must come early to secure spot. There are also lots of cool places to visit nearby. It is right next to Valhalla cemetery where the Portal of Wings is located. It is also beside the Armory where army tanks, jeeps and trucks are parked. There is also a shrine dedicated to Larry Maxam, a Burbank hero who served during the Vietnam war. The only downside of this place is being too close to the airport. It is actually along the path of airplanes taking off. Kids do really get excited in the sight of jumbo airplanes right above your head but it could get really loud when it passes by.
