When I first decided I wanted to surprise my fiancee with a proposal in Paris and have it captured in photos, the process of figuring out location, time and booking a photographer was a little daunting. I had never been to Paris before and had never booked a photography session. Lindsey made the process easy and recommended several scenic locations with minimal crowds on a Saturday evening (including wisely talking me out of wanting to propose after dark, due to photo quality limitations). The fact that she was a native English speaker was icing on the cake for me. I have only written one other Yelp review, so please know that the fact I am writing this is a testament to how wonderful Pictours Paris and Lindsey is! In the weeks prior to the Paris trip my boyfriend Mark and I took in July, I knew that I wanted to plan a photo shoot for us. I had surprised him with a photo shoot in New York City for his birthday in 2009 and wanted to recreate the experience in Paris. I didn't want a bunch of self portraits or having to ask strangers to take our picture. I wanted beautiful images of us that highlighted such a beautiful city. Pictours Paris and Lindsey absolutely delivered. I researched Paris photographers (specifically American Paris photographers to cross the language barrier hurdle) and Lindsey was BY FAR the least expensive of the bunch. I actually was shocked at how inexpensive the shoot was for what we would get in return and how beautiful the images were on her website. When she said she had availability I immediately booked a 1.5 hour shoot. Lindsey gave me a great recommendation for a makeup artist with Charles Gillman. He did a fantastic job and was so much fun during the process. I would highly recommend him! I told Lindsey that I wanted the shoot to be done near the Eiffel Tower as well as a bridge, around the Louvre, some street scenes and on the Lover's Bridge (Pont des Arts) so we could do a "love lock" on the bridge. Lindsey had some great suggestions for specific locations and she made us both feel immediately at ease during the shoot. She even convinced my boyfriend to pick me up during a couple of the shots, which turned out really cute. There was lots of kissing involved, and we had a great time seeing the city and smiling for the photos. So far we've seen a sneak peek of some of the shots (with more to come later), and they are absolutely gorgeous. I can't stop looking at them. Lindsey really captured our relationship, and I keep describing the way we look in some of the shots as "pure joy." It's nice to have that captured on camera to have that for years to come. Our family of 5 was traveling to Paris this summer and decided we wanted to do a professional photo session. Some friends of ours had done a photo shoot with Lindsey for their honeymoon a few months prior, and they highly recommended her. We could not have been happier with our photo session with Lindsey. My husband discovered Pictours Paris while researching fun and unique things to do in Paris. He surprised me on my birthday with a 2 hour photography session with Lindsey Kent, followed by a 5 course gourmet meal at Lindsey and her chef husband Justin's Paris apartment. I can't rave enough about how amazing everything was, from start to finish! The photo session with Lindsey was super fun - she was sweet and friendly and even though we felt a bit awkward at first posing for pictures in the middle of busy Paris, she made us feel totally comfortable and made sure we had fun at the same time! She knew exactly where to take us to get the best pictures with the best natural lighting and even had a few hidden secret spots where we could get away from all the other tourists. I knew nothing about her or her work since my husband had done all the research and planned this whole surprise, but after spending the afternoon with Lindsey and seeing how passionate she was about Paris and her work, I was confident that our pictures would turn out great. After the photo session, we hopped in a cab and went over to Lindsey's apartment. This was another surprise for me too and a totally unique experience for a foodie like me! Lindsey's husband Chef Justin Kent had prepped a 5 course meal for us complete with wine pairings and a cute little table set up in front of the kitchen so we could watch him plate - so cool! Apparently he had asked my husband what I liked and didn't like and everything served to us was just delicious and beautifully plated. There was so much attention to detail from the fresh flowers on the table to my favorite songs being played in the background. It was the perfect end to an amazing day and a wonderful and unforgettable experience. My husband and I spent our one year wedding anniversary in Paris and were lucky enough to meet Lindsey and experience her amazing tour and skilled photography first hand. Let me start by saying this was not our first photo session, my husband and I have worked with numerous photographers over the years and Lindsey was by far one of the best. She does so much more than just take your picture. She was unbelievably attentive, helping me to fix my unruly hair for each photo, covering me while I changed tops between locations, and positioning us to achieve the best, most flattering pictures possible. We booked the three hour package, and it was the perfect amount of time. I was a little nervous that we wouldn't be able to shoot at all the locations I had picked out (Jardin de Luxemburg, Pont de Arts, Pont de Alexandre III, and two locations around the Eiffel tower), but the day was effortless. Lindsey was time efficient, keeping us on track with our schedule and getting us to each location without any hiccups. We received the pictures right on time, and as we looked through them we were immediately transported back to the magical City of Lights. Every single photograph is a true work of art. The angle, lighting, resolution, and editing are all of the finest quality possible. One of our favorite aspects was Lindsey's ability to minimize the amount of people in the background. It actually looks like we had each location all to ourselves. Crowds in Paris are unavoidable. The city is full of people, especially at the big landmarks, but the carefulness that Lindsey used to angle each picture was so skillful that there are literally no other people besides the two of us in each shot. I can't even put into words how special these pictures are to us. They are priceless mementos of an unforgettable trip. We can't recommend her service more. Besides being an expert photographer, she's also an absolute sweetheart and a lot of fun to hang out with. AMAZING! My husband and I wanted to capture the sights and experience of our family trip to Paris. So often, one of us is taking the pictures and we rarely get a photo with all five of us in it, much less a good picture.
