This place is so unorganized. We were there for three hours (waiting to be check in,took pictures and wait for somebody to check out)..... there were a lot of people working and no one behind the desk. they keep ignoring us. We bought a deal off Groupon for 1 10x13, 1 8x10, 4 5x7's, 10 4x6's and 16 wallets for $10! I was hesitant at first because of the negative reviews on Yelp. I called to ask if we can bring our pets for the shoot and they said they only take pets in their first or last appointments. Fair enough. We made a reservation for 9 pm on a Monday night. By 8:45 pm, on the way to the studio, we called to ask if we can bring our pets via the backdoor but after five tries with negative response, we gave up. We parked by the food court and walked our pets the scenic route through the mall. We arrived on time and found ourselves lost amongst four other families. We weren't greeted nor acknowledge of our presence. There were only two staff working, one photographer and another guy working the counter. I guess it's a busy night and they're busy. Understood. So finally the photographer, which we learned later his name Ricky, asked if we have an appointment and that if so, to have a seat because they're a little behind that evening. Yeah, we can tell. So we waited, and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited ... aaaaanndd little did we know, it's 10:30pm before we're called for our session. Yes, one and a half hours later. I must say the photographer Ricky was excellent! We were impressed with him as he knew how to work with our pets and to get their attention for the shots. After 10 minutes, we're done and were told to give him few minutes to upload the pictures. Then, the second staff came out to go through the pictures with us. We were told that our Groupon only allowed us to get the different size portraits from ONE pose. Anything extra would be $18 per pose. By this time, we were super tired and just wanted to head home. However, that guy (spoke with thick accent, possibly hispanic) was pretty pushy into getting us to buy more poses. I understand he was just doing his job but come on, we already been there for two hours by then and we seriously just wanted to go home. After he finally accepted No for an answer, he proceed to tell us that something wrong with the machine and that we must return the next day to get our pictures. We were so upset to hear this news and I guess Ricky the photographer saw it. He walked up to us and asked where we live and we told him Boynton Beach. He said that he lives near Boynton Beach and offered to meet us somewhere on Wednesday morning to give the pictures to us. Of course, we're super happy to hear this and accepted his offer. We met up as promised and we got our pictures! Even though our experience started bad with Picture People, luckily, they have Ricky in their staff. He truly went above and beyond to make his customers happy and we commend him for that. We probably would join the other reviewers and gave only one star but nope, I'm happy to give them four stars. First, if I could go 2.5 stars I would. My personal experience today was "ok" but not true of most the other patrons I watched. Long wait, lost appointments, paper jams in printers, a frazzled manager & 2 guests stormed out mid curse. Our photos came out nice. Cheap enough (with a coupon). They no longer offer online viewing which will be my deal breaker. We spent 4 hours start to finish...entirely too long to be in a mall with small children. read more

No wonder why this place gets a lot of one star reviews. This place is completely filthy. The floor is sticky with a lot of litter on the floor and crumbs on the seats (most of them). It does not have to be immaculate, but at least clean it a lil bit. I can't complain about the wait time since we had a reservation. We had two groupons and they chose not to accept it even when the other picture people had never given any pushback for it and the groupon itself does not include such restrictions. If I could give 0 stars I would. These people have no respect for your time. My family waited over an hour to get pictures taken and we still didn't even get seen. We had to reschedule. We usually take our pictures at JC Penney and trust me I never ever have to wait regardless of the time of year I go. They cost about 10 dollars more but trust me they respect your time and the picture quality is superior. Never going back to this establishment..they never even apologized for grossly running behind..absolutely poor customer service!! read more

We have four adult daughters and five grandsons spread along the coast from Florida to New York. As everyone was with us a few weeks ago, my wife fulfilled her dream of having family pictures professionally taken. Unfortunately, we chose Picture People in the Wellington Mall to be the studio. What a bad idea! Our group of 12 consisted of 7 adults and 5 children, ages one to fourteen years old. Our appointment at Picture People was at 7:00 PM on Monday, August 5, 2013. We encountered no delays and the young lady photographer, who was alone in the store, was very friendly and pleasant, but that's as far as the good part went. First of all, the story she told us was that while there were no coupons, we could buy a CD for a little over a hundred dollars that would contain all of the pictures she took, and she took a lot of pictures, believe me because we were there long enough to close up the Mall. The truth was that we paid $111.30 for a CD containing just 20 poses, all of which she chose, some of them close to being duplicates of each other, and not in our opinion even the best ones. Second, when we transferred the CD to our PC, we found that the resolution of the photos we bought is far from being high, and in reality they're kind of grainy. Bottom line: WE DO NOT RECOMMEND this place, we'll never use them again, and we strongly suggest you GO ELSEWHERE, too. read more

I have been coming to this location for four years. I will say I will never go back to Picture People after what I just experienced. My session was completely rushed. In some of the pictures on the side you can see the wall that isn't covered by the back drop, in most of the pictures my son isn't even looking at the camera. I paid $150 for just a CD and honestly only three pictures on the CD actually look as if they were taken by a professional. Don't waste your time or money here!!! read more

This is the absolute worst experience I've had at a photo place. When I came in for my appointment I was waiting for 30 minutes. Then once the photos were taken the lady told me that it would be 10 minutes to view the photos. 10 mins turned into 40 minutes which and to top it off the lady helping me didn't know how to edit the photos so I was told that she would get help and put my order in. I asked if I needed to pay now and she said no that I can pay when the photos were picked up. So I came to pick up the photos the next day and she never even put my order in and the other lady told me that I was supposed to pay or they couldn't process my order. So I had to pick my photos all over again and paid finally. I came to pick up the photos the next day and wasn't even acknowledged. A lady working walked right past me and didn't say anything. I had to rudely interrupt another photographer to get help. I waited over 20 minutes just to pick up my photos!! I will never return. read more

Everyone here was so friendly. Our photographer was great with our 4 kids who range between 1-8 years old. He kept them smiling and having fun. We had a lot of great shots. The girl who helped us when we walked in was wonderful. We didn't have an appointment but she got us in within 40 min, which wan't bad at all since there is a play area right in front of the store to keep the kids busy. Prices are good, and they often have specials. I highly recommend. read more

Do yourself a favor and save your money. Our appointment was for 10:30 and we weren't even acknowledged until 11am. I have a two year old and a two month old and I timed our appointment so they weren't cranky/hungry. Needless to say by the time we actually started shooting both kids were screaming. The photographer was the ONLY person working in the store. He never bothered to introduce himself and definitely was not experienced with kids. My two year old was all over the place and this guy had no clue how to keep his interest and get him to smile. The phones were ringing non-stop and not once were they answered - very distracting! The whole process took about 3 hours which I thought was ridiculous. When I finally got my prints, he asked us if everything was to our liking. I explained to him that I thought the pictures looked too dark. You could barely tell what was in the background. He didn't even offer to fix it! If it wasn't for the Groupon that I had ALREADY purchased, I would not have even gone through with the session. I'm so disappointed in the photos and the overall experience. I wish a 1/2 star was an option, after all they were open. We set an appointment for 1:00...arrived 15 minutes early and after waiting for over 30 minutes, we were then told it would be another hour and a half. I understand this is most likely the busiest time of the year for them, but the disorganization and lack of customer service is staggering! Also, I realize that these are kids taking the photos and not professionals so this review is not based on the quality of photos. My advice, pay the extra for a professional, or take them on your own. Lesson learned. read more

We've been coming here for years once a year with a Groupon for family photos. We've never had a problem until this year. We arrived for our two pm Saturday appointment and waited. Our photo session did not take long, maybe 20 minutes total. Then we waited again. They forgot us. People who came in after us left with their pictures and we were still waiting. I went to the back room and asked if we could view our pictures online as they are uploaded as soon as the session is done. There were about six people in the back room talking and one photographer out front. They said they'd be right with us. THREE hours later we left with our photos but the pictures have a white strip at one end that has to be cut off and they won't fit in frames properly. I couldn't complain because my kids were too tired to wait there any longer. The photographer was nice enough but no one else knew what they were doing. We were disappointed and my kids made me promise not to return - even with a Groupon. read more

I had a very negative experience here after having been a regular customer since the store opened. I had an appointment yet waited an extended period of time and then was paired up with photographer who did not even know how to work the camera or the lights and took some of the worst pictures I have ever seen in my life. I could have taken better pictures with my cell phone instead of wasting four hours of my day that I have nothing but pictures of my children with their eyes closed and looking like a complete hot mess. Both the person pretending to be a photographer and store manager were extremely rude and impatient. They lied to me about the wait, offered nothing to correct this issues and treated my family horribly. We experienced extremely poor customer service and they did not care at all how upset I was after wasting my time. Save your time and money because if you're looking for professional photographs or decent customer service, this is no longer the place to have pictures taken. You are better off with the camera people at the DMV!!! read more

I found an amazing deal on Groupon for holiday pictures ($26 for 8 sheets + a 16x20) , so I decided to make the appt before the holiday rush (and on a Monday at 1pm). When we arrived, there were about 6 families waiting and 2 photographers. They assured us we would be in and out. Well literally 3 hours later we were at our boiling point with a 1 year old. They were way too understaffed, when someone would call to make an appointment, they would drop what they were doing and spend a good 10 mins per phone call, and the one kid who was helping us pick prints had no idea what he was doing. He didn't even print out everything. So I now have to go all the way back to get the rest (from Delray). I feel even worse for the parents who brought their 2 week old and another with their 1 month old. I honestly don't even think the $26 was worth it. Just a nightmare. I can't even imagine what it will be like after Black Friday! You would think they'd have a faster process- especially working with little kids! read more

THIS IS THE WORSE PHOTO PLACE EVER! DO NOT GO! I was waiting for hours for my photos to print, I kept asking the associate how much Longer and she kept lying as said 15 minutes. Finally got my photos and got home and looked at them in the light and they all had huge scratches on them! Went back on Saturday to get them reprinted a different associate who says she is one of the managers but does not know how to issue a refund says give her 15 min to reprint. I got there at about 11:30a went back at around 1:30p. My pictures still were not done and when I checked in she kept saying 15 minutes. Finally she told the truth and said she doesn't know how to fit the bigger paper into the machine so she doesn't know how much longer it will be. I asked her who is the store manger like who is running this place CAUSE NOBODY KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING! SAVE YOUR TIME AND YOUR MONEY!! THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! THIS IS A REAL REVIEW! We took are three young children ages 5,6 and 7 to this location last week. The photographer was AWSOME!!! She achieved what I thought would be impossible. Not only did we get great shots of the kids together we got poses of the kids alone as well. We sat down picked out are photos, got are prints ten min later and were out of there in about a hour!!! We had a terrible experience today. I would NOT ever recommend anyone to use this place. They overbooked themselves for the number of staff they have working. We had a reservation this morning for 10 am. They had two other bookings for the same time. They only had two photographers and the manager working. Our shoot took about 15 to 20 minutes which we thought was good with 3 kids under 5 years old. We sat and waited for an hour to view and go over our pictures. They did not have enough staff to sit and view with each of the parties that were waiting to purchase their pictures. One employee help us while also helping 2 other parties. The entire experience took over two and a half hours. The pictures the photographer took were not much better then someone using an iPhone. We got an email of the prints this afternoon and they weren't even our kids. It was the pictures from one of the other parties. Hoping they didn't sent our kids pictures to a child predator. We will never use Picture People ever again and if you read this, save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else. I recommend going upstairs to Studio One to One. Never been but I saw smiling faces from customers walking out while I sat and waited and waited. read more

As a family we have being coming here for years to have our family pictures taken. Everything has always being wonder, till the last two times we being here.. yesterday on 11/13/2015 we can to have our Christmas cards done and it was a total disaster.. I wanted for two hours to just have my two sets of different Christmas cards, the first set was fine. When they came to bring us the second set they had the incorrect names, when I told the sales person more than 5 times to make sure the names where correct.. Then I just asked to speak to the manager, when I spoke to the manager and told her about everything her only excuse, not even a I'm sorry was "She is new." That is not an excuse then have some trained correctly I understand we are all new but train them correctly.. I came back the following day to pick them up, and my christmas cards hadn't even being printed or anything.. Nobody takes responsibility for, when the manager herself said I will have them at the front all ready for you.. I used to love this. Would recommend you guys to anyone not any more... read more

I have been a regular customer at this Picture People location for 5 years. The worst thing for this studio was Wayne leaving. After 50 fantastic sessions over the years, the new manager made holiday portraits a nightmare! They were disorganized, triple booked, and I had to come back twice for mediocre printed photos! She allowed us a makeup session, where all the pictures were top quality. It should not have taken 2 times. The first photographer was terrible and unmotivated, and my child wanted to leave. I believe management needs to change and training and quality need to be consistent! Customers do not need to come back multiple times to pick up photos at the manager's "promised" time, nor should corporate be impossible to reach!!! I should not have needed to "remind" the staff to send digital copies. I will try once again for our annual Valentines picture and hope the issues are sorted out! read more
