I've been coming to Picture Perfect Smile in Little Falls for over a year now and am very pleased that I made the switch from my former dental care provider. Conveniently located in the heart of Little Falls (not far from the Willowbrook Mall), this modern facility features the latest tech and highly trained professionals to use it. The waiting room is spacious with plenty to entertain (although the waits are never long anyway) and the operatory rooms, sterile and comfy. Ample parking is available in the rear, but there is also a bus stop nearby if public transportation is more your thing. Even better than the office is the people that work for this practice. The entire staff here is warm and welcoming, from the administrators at the front desk to the assistants. Dr. Shahmehdi, who owns the practice, took the time to meet with me (even though I am not his direct patient) during one of my appointments. Dr. Sperling, the pediatric dentist, even struck up a conversation with me after one of my appointments; everyone is so friendly! Dr. Paparella, who has been my attending dentist, has been nothing short of brilliant. Before beginning any procedure--no matter how big or small--she briefly explains what she is going to be doing and why. I feel like I've learned so much about dental care and am much more at ease during procedures. She also has excellent bedside manners, always cognizant of any issues her patients have and does everything in her power to alleviate any concerns. Most importantly, she always takes her time and works meticulously. It is very clear that she takes pride in her work and cares about her patients. The assistants are just as competent and caring. Special shoutout to Nicolle, who assisted Dr. Paparella on my last visit. She was able to use the suction hose without triggering my annoyingly persistent gag reflex. They were both patient throughout my visit, even as I subconsciously started to close my mouth...repeatedly. Nicolle even dabbed my forehead with a paper towel when a drop of water splashed. These little things and attention to detail demonstrate the staff really does care about their patients. I've been seeing Dr. Shahmehdi for years, and I can confidently say he is absolutely the best. Even after moving three times, I still make the commute to his Clifton and Little Falls offices -- and it's well worth it. Like many people, I slacked on dental visits during Covid and unfortunately paid the price. I ended up needing my first dental implant, and while I was nervous about the surgery (I'll admit I was a bit of a chicken!), I knew I was in the best hands. To my surprise -- it didn't hurt at all. Honestly! For context, my tooth had been previously extracted by a different dental group during an emergency, and that did hurt a little. But the implant with Dr. Shahmehdi was completely pain-free. I trust him with all my dental care -- bonding, fillings, the implant, and everything in between. He's honest, skilled, caring, and truly brilliant. I've been coming here for 8 or so years and can't believe I haven't written a review yet. I've always enjoyed my appts and feel everyone is professional, overall. I never feel like they require unnecessary work and even worked with me on changing course of treatment when I didn't have dental insurance. Picture Perfect Smile is your one stop dental office for all your dentistry needs! They have everything here: dental hygienists, dentists, a periodontist, an orthodontist and even a pediatric dentist! So, there is absolutely no need to go anywhere else. First off the staff at the office are awesome and super, super freindly; everytime I come here I'm rarley sitting in the waiting area because I'm usually talking to them the entire time I'm waiting to be seen, which isn't long. But, for the very few times that they were super busy and couldn't talk, I had to wait in the waing room, and didn't mind waiting because the waiting area is very comfortable. All the treatment rooms have tv's, which they give you the remote to channel surf while you wait. I seriously wish that they had this feature at all doctor's offices. The dental hygienists here are very thorough, they check your teeth with a fine tooth comb and basicly do detaling on your teeth; just awesome! Dr. Shahmehdi is the dentist and and owner of Picture Perfect Smile. Dr. Shahmehdi is a great dentist whose down to earth and super friendly, I spend a good amount of time talking to him about whatever (you see a theme here... I talk way too much haha). Dr. Shahmehdi always tries to take the easiest route and tries to avoid any unnecessary procedures. One time I had a very deep filling, so instead of getting a route canal he told me he was going to use a medicated filling and if there is any pain or discomfort that he would then do the root canal. Sure enough there was no pain or discomfort and I avoided having to get a root canal! I've been coming here for awhile now, and I have absolutely no complaints. I just left my appointment because the secretary was rude to me. When I chose not to sign a form that allows the dentist to use my information and disclose my records and pictures, the manager/secretary stormed out and said she had no patience for me. She was rude and unprofessional. I had been recommended to this place and regret I ever came to be treated so poorly. Didn't even get to see a doctor but better training has to be given to the staff about patient treatment and communication. read more

This practice is warm, friendly and the waiting room is spacious and clean. I was looking for a new dentist who was closer to me and offered hours after 5 and I was referred to this one. He is friendly polite and very attentive. I had an issue on of all days Thanksgiving and he opened up his office to see me. You just don't get that kind of service from a dentist anymore. So Dr.Ulanet is now retired and has been replaced by Dr.Shahmehdi who is also very knowledgeable and good at what he does. Sadly however, lately I've been feeling less and less cared for. Today my crown replacement has been done by someone who seemed to be new and in a rush. This was the first time in a long time I felt pain. Also, I called prior to my appointment to discuss a concern I had and was assured by the lady at the front desk that the doctor will handle it. That didn't happen. After Dr. Shahmehdi assumed the practice, he showed great patience and quickly came up with a plan to get me back on track by starting with simple procedures that proved painless and built my confidence slowly until a bridge of trust was built to venture out to the more elaborate procedures. There was a lot of work to do and my budget was limited but the office staff worked with Dr. Shahmehdi and I to prioritize the work based on my benefits, budget and even offered different options to finance. I've never been to any doctor or dentist that offered that level of service and personalized planning. All my work is completed after two years and feeling like a million bucks! I can't say enough great things about this office or this team! A team is exactly what everyone at this office is. I love everyone from the thorough hygienists, the hardworking intelligent doctors, to the friendly and always smiling front desk staff. I have been a patient of Dr. Shahmehdi's for a few years. I recently found out he has an office closer to me (this one, he also has one in Clifton). I was ecstatic! For the most part, the same great staff works in both offices. Only dentist me and my family go too. Dr. Shahmehdir Is the best around. Very patient with his patients (see what I did there ) I am the type to ask a million and one questions about every and anything the dentist is about to do. As I was getting a root canal and was very stressed about the pain I was going to endure. Dr. Shahmehdi Had a very calming demeanor and that is that actually calmed me down to the point of nirvana.
