Used to be the favourite haunt for me and my siblings when we lived closer however unfortunately now I can't make it as often, only once a week.. I always get Meat & Potato Pasties, occasionally one as a Pasty Barm and they normally don't last the drive home. They girls behind the counter are a good laugh as well and always lively and full of beans! If you have room they have a great selection of bakery treats and cakes. Like all Gregg's they stock a great selection of pies, sandwiches, cakes and pastries - with hot and cold soft drinks on offer too. Prices are very good value. My personal favourite are the bacon baps (served till 11am) - £1.75 for a bap and you can get a hot drink with it for £2 - what a bargain and the bacon bap always tastes amazing (it is usually while hungover when I get this in so that's probably why it also tastes so amazing - it's my salvation!)

As Ryan H points out, it's the only place in the local area to get a pasty, pie or bakerie item without heading into the Town Centre and so it's very convenient and accessible for a quick lunch. As a fairly large chain, I'm sure you are aware of Sayers, what they offer and the quality there. It's not the best pasty you'll ever have and not a patch on Carr's but it certainly fills a need when craving hits!

First impressions were of a really cool place to hangout (seating for about 20), with an atmosphere and decor that wouldn't be out of place in the Northern Quarter or Didsbury. I got chatting to the girl behind the counter who was very knowledgable of their product range and after myself umming, arrhing and probably over thinking it went for their pie of the week - the pulled chicken balti pie. At £3 for a pie that you'd definitely need to share it was super tasty from first to last bite (lots of meat, good range of veg and a lovely crusty pie case) and good value along with it. I can't wait to go back and try their standard range of pies, see what their next pie of the week is and even give the Stockport pie a go - basically posh meat and potato! Stockport needs more places like LOTP - here's hoping it's the first of many to arrive on the scene.

Although Bolton cente has a whopping four branches of Greenhalghs this patricular branch is one of the two smaller ones yet still has a decent window display of many mouthwatering cakes etc and a great selection of goods inside. Inside you can buy pretty much what you'd expect from hot sausage rolls and pasties to cakes and cookies as well as sandwiches and drinks. they also offer meal deals etc for adults and kids alike which are always worth considering to make it that bit cheaper. The staff are always friendly and willing and there is a general relaxed atmosphere even when it's heaving with customers. The products themselves are extremely tasty if not a little more expensive then it's competitors Greggs.

They make lovely sandwiches but its the cakes that are the real draw. They have so many on offer you won't be able to choose just one.
