They also withheld my medical records for weeks while trying to get emergent help elsewhere. A month after requesting my records I was finally able to be seen by a different provider and an understanding surgeon and nurse who simply asked:"Was she just wanting you to bleed out?" My only response was... I guess so. Thank God I switched health care providers. I would not recommend this or any UF health Womens center employee or provider. They could care less if you live or die.

Well after my first session, I was driving home, hit a TON of traffic on I-275, and it didn't bother me in the least. It was the strangest feeling in the world - like someone took my mean friend away, and I didn't realize how mean that little guy was until he was gone. I have had reflexology in the past, and thought, "sure this is a nice foot massage", but that is not what reflexology is in the least when you're with Ruth. It's just amazing, amazing work. She's passionate, perceptive, kind, and so so much more. I really don't have enough good words to say about Ruth. Give her a try, and you'll try to hunt me down to thank me for making your life awesome. Dr. Shindler is also awesome. He's very easy to talk to, and is open to different ways of healing, including hypnosis. I did hypnosis once, and he will make a recording of the session for you to do at home. This also helped me reduce stress levels - but obviously you can use hypnotism to help with a lot of different issues. Overall, there aren't enough words to express how thankful I am that this office is here... we so quickly brush off things like stress, and other life stuffs, and how they play a role in our health. She is part of the infinity primary care system. I really like Dr. Fitzgibbons. For my primary appointment, she spent a good 45 minutes with me, and I had some pretty strong concerns that she spent time talking to me about. She is extremely friendly and approachable. The office is busy. If you get an afternoon appointment, you may be waiting for a bit past your appointment time. There are many doctors there, so if you have to come in for something and Dr. Fitzgibbons is full, you can see someone else (her hours, btw, are Monday and Wednesday 9-5 and Thursday 9-12). So far I've been extremely pleased with the attention and care I have received there. They also have an email system set up so you can communicate with your doctor by email, which I like a lot since you can play a lot of phone tag with doctors normally.

She also does a good job of following up on past issues. My gripe is with trying to get an appointment. It seems like my doctor is never there, so sometimes I have to settle for whoever is available. I agree with Kelly M. who said it takes forever to make an appointment. It's not unusual to be the 6th caller in the queue and to wait on hold for ages. The reception staff also never have a clue who I am. It seems like there's different people at the desk every time I've been there over the past five years. It's pretty impersonal, compared to the receptionist at my dentist's office, who seems like she has my insurance policy memorized.

I was truly appalled by the hideous attitudes of a majority of the staff members at this office (doctors aside). The women at the front desk spoke with a rude tone and volume to every person who checked in. Privacy and tact do not exist here. When asked to fill out a form, I was not clear on instructions and requested clarification. The response from the woman at the desk made it clear that I was an inconvenience to her. These same women are consistently chatting and having side conversations as if they don't notice you're even there. Clearly, patient care is not a priority here and the staff members are not trained or interviewed for appropriate customer service skills.
