I immediately felt welcomed to the beautifully adorned shop. Kyle's fun, friendly personality helped ease my nerves and added to my extremely positive experience. He was also sure to explain the entire process to me from start to finish, was very understanding and patient with me and my nerves, and was very thorough in explaining the piercing's aftercare with me. What I loved about Karen is that she gave her honest and professional opinion on placement of the helix. Where I initially wanted it was not going to be the best option because of the shape and curve of my ear. Being a woman herself, she knew I wouldn't love my initial placement ad recommended a lower helix piercing. I appreciated her honesty. She even asked if my two prior piercings were done by different piercers, which I said yes, and she knew right away they were from different people (because of the placement they did, going off of what I wanted and not taking my ear shape into consideration). I went with her recommended area and I couldn't be happier with results. She runs the show here at EA - a small, woman owned business which resonates with me. I do wish that they explained in taking the posts out 8 weeks later that they unscrew from the front of the ear not the back. I used dental forceps and wire cutters to get them off. I searched youtube for answers and they just said wiggle back and forth until they are free. After cutting the post off one ear, I could reconstruct it and see where the problem was in removing the back, like a regular earring.

The issue i have is that no one mentioned at all that the gold jewelry they offer is actually gold plated. I specifically asked for actual gold because Im severely allergic to nickel in cheap metal jewelry. Thats why I always buy in person and I don't mind paying for good quality jewelry. So the $80 for a nose ring was not a bad price IF it was real gold which it was not. This is a huge safety concern, do better.
