What's one to say? Pierre Hermé does elegant macarons. So many flavors to try. The macarons are delicate and a delight to the mouth.

I love macarons and was not going to leave Paris without having any! Came here with my boyfriend to buy a couple of macarons to share and some chocolate to take home with us. The workers were a bit busy but we were able to get what we wanted and leave. The macarons were sooo delicious and I'm so happy that i chose to come to Pierre's over the other options since there are a few of them in my hometown of LA. Highly recommend stopping here for some treats!

Chocolate, salted caramel, and rose macarons

After purchasing a box of seven macarons during my first visit to Paris, I made my way down to the Jardin des Tuileries a block away and found a seat near the Jeu de Paume where I could eat these macarons for lunch. No, not because they were that good. (But yeah, I mean, they were pretty good.) I had just dropped €18 on macarons for which I couldn't quite justify the high price point just yet and my study abroad wallet couldn't take another beating that afternoon. (Oh, to be in college again...) You know, I'm not too sure why I chose Pierre Hermé over Ladurée, the latter of which is the quintessential Parisian macaron store or so its long lines imply. I wasn't terribly fussed about tradition (besides, I could have gone to a Ladurée in the States) and loathed the idea of waiting in a line since I was pressed for time during my weekend jaunt in Paris. So Pierre Hermé it would have to be and I found myself at this location before a visit to the Musee de l'Orangerie. I went with chocolate, salted caramel, and rose, though in retrospect I should have sampled one of the more unique flavors Pierre Hermé is known for. But I'm a sucker for anything chocolate -- the crispy and airy macaron shell and rich, silky smooth chocolatey ganache filling was definitely worth it. I've also never understood the rose flavor trend but I enjoyed Pierre Hermé's subtle take on it. Pierre Hermé gained my allegiance, my stomach didn't grumble in protest later when I was soaking in Monet's "Water Lilies," and I returned for another chocolate macaron or two during my most recent visit to Paris.

Very cute place that is decorated well with colors and fancy like declarations. The staff was easy talk to and were very helpful when asked about the flavors. I did not feel rushed during my time there and was very happy to try their newest macaron that is made with fingerling limes! The fingerling limes did have little pops in my mouth when I was chewing into them so that was really exciting.

We saw a long line during our route home and decided to check it out - instead of getting their famous macaroons we opted for their #1 and #2 popular choices. Both of them are yummy and would defiantly go back in the near future!!

The best macaroons! Unfortunately this location pretty much only has the macaroons and none of the beautiful cakes or pastries that I've seen on Yelp at the other locations. But I stopped by after visiting nearby Chanel. I got 7 macaroons for 18 Euro. They were a splurge but worth it. They just have the most perfect shell with the right amount of crisp and chewiness. The texture is slightly better than those at Laudree and I like Pierre's unique and bold flavors. I will always be a sucker for "standard" macaroon flavors such as salted caramel and a really good chocolate one, but we also enjoyed the unique ones such as rose, lycee, yogurt and raspberry. Definitely check out a Pierre Herme while in Paris for a sensuous sweet treat. I may have not eaten as many croissants or pastries in Paris as I thought I would, but I was happy that I got to get macaroons twice (even though I wanted to go to PH one more time before I left). Pierre Herme, please open up a shop in the US!

Linda C.

Disappointed. The flavors were not as distinctive as Laduree, but I also like Boutegga louie in Los Angeles better than both. Coming to Paris, I had to make sure to try as many different macarons I could get my hands on. But I was greatly disappointed here for many reasons. The flavors selection was huge but the macaroons just didn't measure up to my expectations. The customer service was also a bit cold.

Stephanie J.

Delicious macarons! Grabbed a box of seven and they did not disappoint. We were able to enjoy this box of goodies with a bottle of wine, this is definitely a suggested combination.

Sayed Z.

Chocolates and macarons were top notch, as was the service. The only downside is that this particular location has a limited range of products compared to their larger boutiques. The more sensational pastries--what Pierre Hermé is really known for--cannot be found at this location. However, the store can arrange to have your pastry of choice brought to their location. If I had to choose one macaron in Paris though, I'd head to Ladurée. The texture of Ladurée macarons is about as close to perfect as you can get.

O M G. Make sure you stop by at this place for your fix of delicious macarons!! Ask for a menu - it'll tell you all the flavors in both French and English so you know what you're choosing!! Prices are 2.2-2.5 euro depending. I had quite a few (raspberry, pistachio, passion fruit - all tasted as you'd expect) the specialty chocolate ones were yummy but I wasn't blown out the door BUT SOME OF THEM WERE OUTSTANDING, I've had to update this review a few times because I kept going back to try more hahahha. My faves: +orange blossom - has that slight flowery scent and filled with some citrusy light cream ++jasmine - omg. If you like jasmine tea this is delicious and tastes like they captured jasmine into this delicious shimmery macaron ++hazelnut praline - it tastes like NUTELLA so good ++rose - it tastes like I'm actually eating a soft crumbly melt in your mouth flower, delicious

Cool flavors, crispy and spongy cookies. Pretty much just your textbook macarons. Dope flavor: pate and fig.

Angelina, Paris, France -- April 12…read more Our family of four with kids ages 9 and 10 stopped here for lunch after visiting the Louvre, drawn in by its reputation for having the best hot chocolate in the world. We were looking for a place to relax and refuel, and the experience felt a bit mixed overall. Arrival and First Impressions The space is elegant with classic Parisian charm. The line moved quickly, and we were seated with a great view of the dining room. It felt refined but still comfortable. The Highlights The famous hot chocolate lived up to expectations, thick, rich, and almost more like a dessert than a drink. We also had French onion soup and an éclair, both of which were very good. The pastries were clearly well made and thoughtfully prepared. The kids had chicken tenders, which they enjoyed, even though the tomato sauce was a bit different from what they expected. The Challenges The biggest drawback was the price. The meal felt expensive for what we ordered, coming in at €154 for a fairly simple lunch. Service felt slightly rushed as they moved tables along quickly. Final Thoughts We would likely return if we were nearby and specifically craving the hot chocolate again. It is a classic Paris stop and worth trying once, but the value may not justify going out of your way unless that signature experience is high on your list.

So Angelina's fine. For me, it's a bit hyped up. My sister, loved it. She even bought their…read moreprepackaged bottle of hot chocolate to take home. This hot chocolate is decadent. It really tastes like melted chocolate with a bit of milk mixed in to make it more drinkable. We went at a bit of an off time, late morning and it wasn't overly busy. We saw our server once and I couldn't recall who he was when it came time to get the bill. I asked a hostess walking by for our check and she told me to ask our server while walking away. We were able to flag another server down eventually but the whole process just took too long. The tables for four have chairs that don't quite tuck in causing for a bit awkward seating. If you like really thick hot chocolate, give it a try but otherwise ok to miss this one. Plenty of good hot chocolate throughout the city.

THE FOOD ------------------…read more+ THEEEEEE gold standard for macarons in Paris ... or anywhere for that matter. + Macarons here are a little crisp, a little pillowy softness and a whollllllle bunch of flavor. - It cost a pretty penny (about 3 Euros for 1 piece), but you won't regret it for a second when you bite into one of these addictively delicious treats. THE SERVICE ----------------------- + All class, top notch white glove service - literally - they handle the macarons with much care like it were gold! THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------------ + Located in the heart of the Champs-Élysées on Rue Lincoln, so, YES, it is busy like rush hour outside ... and inside. + There are 2 sides to this massive flagship location - you can either make a purchase of macarons at their store OR dine/sit down in their tea house. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS ------------------------------------------- = Expect waits on a weekend afternoon, especially to sit down in the tea room. If you just make a store purchase, it's only about a 10 minute wait ... and you'll be thanking your legs for that. = It's a tourist destination in itself, so expect LOTS of people taking photos of this location. CONCLUSION ----------------------- = Yes, I'm from the tri-state area and they've had a Laduree in NYC since 2011, but there's alwayyyyys something special about going to one of the originals and this spot is no different.

Pierre Hermé If you…read moreknow Pierre Hermé from social media and all the viral videos, then this review needs no introduction. But if you haven't, this is a strong contender for worthy macarons in Paris and at a convenient location across the street from Ladurée. Located inside L'Occitane in the most gorgeous floor space ever, you will find Pierre Hermé at the center of it all. They have an impressive array of flavors that were much more unique than other patisseries. I definitely asked for a few recommendations as well since I tend to order the same thing (pistachio, raspberry, lemon, etc.) The workers were very kind. They indulged my request to converse in French and corrected me in a respectful and endearing way (I know some people get upset at this idea but I personally prefer it.) I had ordered a dozen macarons but truthfully would've ordered the entire lot if I wasn't alone and especially if I wasn't already taking a ton of sweets back for my flight home. I am a Ladurée purist and what I can say is that Pierre Hermé definitely had the best and most unique flavors compared to the two. The prices are fairly comparable and the coffrets are just as tasteful. Both are strong contenders and worthy of your money. I certainly will be returning and look forward to trying the rest of their selection. (15/50--2025)

Pierre Hermé is home to some of the best macarons I've had in my life -- which is probably too many for the good of my health -- and I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the macarons, the staff's attention to detail, and all the unique flavors this shop had to offer. As a popular macaron shop in one of the hottest tourist destinations in Paris, this location is undeniably crowded. There's usually a huge line circling around a central display of macaron after macaron. The line looks pretty intimidating, but it moves quite quickly, and there are so many flavors that it'll probably be helpful to have a bit of extra time to review the menu. My friend and I split a pack of four macarons, including their seasonal isapahan (rose, lychee, raspberry), infiniment praliné pistache, and a jardin de cassandre (red currant, rhubarb). The macarons were delightful. I loved the two seasonal items; they were delightfully fruity and slightly floral, and I loved the slightly tangy flavor from the raspberry in the isapahan and rhubarb / currants in the jardin de cassandre. The praliné pistache was nice and nutty, and the inner cream offered a great additional richness. It's usually super crowded so seating tends to be quite limited. My friend and I ended up taking our macarons to go and enjoyed them elsewhere as we toured Champs Elysée.

The tea shop on the second floor is absolutely adorable and really should be on any pastry-lover's bucket list (ditto if you are into tea houses). Calm, refined, and civilized, it embodies everything that "tea" should be. Mom ordered a pot of tea and she deemed it delicious (she is often disappointed by hot tea--it is rare that we find an establishment that makes it properly). I ordered the hot chocolate with chantilly, and it filled me with mirth. (Warning: it is a dessert unto itself. This is not the insipid cocoa that comes from powder in an envelope. Or maybe I was just lucky. Anyways I found Drops here as well so I ended up getting one of those. I also got a croque monsieur, a croissant and a citron pastry(?). Their croissant was very different than the first place that I went to. The one here had a super crisp to the outside. As for their citron pastry, it was one of those fancy looking desserts essentially. It was also a citrus bomb and wasn't overly sweet. The croque monsieur was a tad over done, but that's to be expected when it comes essentially pre made then reheated. There was a long line forming when I first got there but it moved so fast . It was so fast to the point where I didn't feel comfortable asking questions to trying to check the whole display. The line basically wraps around a rounded display counter so you can't see everything at the same time. I was at the start of the counter when someone came to take my order so I didn't get a good chance to see much before I ordered. The line was also moving so fast that I couldn't really slow things down to get a good look before I had ordered. Keep that in mind if you come. It wasn't until I got to the register when I saw the croissants and drops again. Luckily they let me add them just before paying.
