I had never been to this book store until the sale. It's small, but there's such a good selection of used books. The used books are also in really good shape. The team member on site the day we went was GREAT! He took the time to assist us in looking for books on our lists and giving us recommendations for other books to read. I also like the idea that you can bring the books back that you purchase, for a percentage off on your next book. Check them out, explore the selection they have, and support local!

The process was super easy. I went partly in hopes of finding a used copy of a novel my Book Club has been wanting to read, but isn't at the library. I was shocked/overjoyed to find TWO copies, both of which I purchased on the spot. Great value for sure. Can't wait to go back & browse their selection more fully when I have more time. She read Frozen and a Llama Llama book. My children loved it! And afterwards we spent over an hour just walking around and exploring. Everywhere you look is a handwritten note about a book, some mystical creature coming out of the walls, or a typewriter waiting for a story to unfold. The top floor even hosts a puzzle table and nooks to cuddle up and read. The children's section is simply magical. My kids would have stayed for hours if I let them. The pricing is also fair and the owner is a gem. She even has a little bookshop dog that greets everyone, Chestnut.

Though the shop is relatively small, it is not cramped inside and has a great selection. The majority of the store is a fiction section, arranged by author last name, which spans across most of the wall. They also have dedicated sections for several of my favorite topics, such as gender studies, nature, science, and local authors/interest. Each section is smaller than what you'd see in a big-box store, but it doesn't matter because they're perfectly curated -- I would read almost anything I've seen in this store. There is a cart of used books they've just gotten in, but most of the used books are actually shelved alongside the new books in their respective sections. I think this is an excellent use of space, and I like that I can just go look for what I want once, as opposed to searching for something in a used section and then having to search for the exact same thing in the new section if they didn't have it used. There is also a small selection of "last chance" used books at a greatly reduced price. Most, if not all, of the books I saw in this selection were only $2, and they were in great condition! The owner + staff are friendly, and I love their taste in books! If you are near Winston and like to read or know anyone who does, you HAVE to come here.

This is one of those gems of stores that are hidden in a suburb of a major city. This bookstore is small, but it has a good selection of used and new books at an affordable price. It also has other small items such as book markers, and other small crafts created by local artists. The store offers a trade credit program that participants can earn up to 50% off all used books in the store as well as an extra 15% off any new titles, including special orders. It is located in the Lowes' Foods Shopping Center, with free parking, at the corner of Highway 49 and Roberta Road in Harrisburg, NC. Overall, 100% recommended!

Walked in looking for a specific book, and he practically barked at me to ask what I wanted. Not exactly the welcoming atmosphere I'd expect from a bookstore. Sitting inside the Franklin Square Books A Million feels like the equivalent of stuffing my brain into a Dyson vacuum cleaner. Literally. Just the other day I was in here picking up a copy of Don Quixote and the cashier is rambling for several minutes about Count Dooku from Star Wars, completely unprofessional and creepy as all hell to be honest. **Fun Fact** in Mexico Sancho is a rapist/philanderer but in the book he is a Squire. Ironic? Yeah. I think so too. The other staff are actually quite helpful. I like the old lady who works at the café, I think she runs a witches coven in her off time. She actually headed me my candy blasted frappé and told me that she could read minds. . bottom line this place is weird and enter at your own risk. Run for your lives folks. Or go to the Barnes and Noble at Carolina Place. Ask about the coffee for dead soldiers !!
