Finally stopped here after YEARS of recommendations from my friend that we visit a few times a year. It was a Tuesday afternoon in winter, so not crowded. Service was great. Hooshburger lived up to the hype. Great seasoning! Wonderful fries and onion rings too. Glad we split the burger, as there's no way I could have eaten the whole thing.

I had to get this pic of the fried mushrooms fast because Eddie was snapping them up.

Crosses has accomplished what we tried to do with our authentic English fish & chips food truck last year - serve food that didn't rely on salt for flavor. The Brits in Bentonville loved us, but the Americans didn't get it. Then we meet this Persian guy on the Pig Trail and he's got the whole process down pat. The locals love him, and we mean older couples and kids all coming and going while we were there, having a quick chat and a friendly word. The food was tasty, no salt required. Eddie loved his fried mushrooms and bacon-cheese burger. I asked if the French fries were cut in the kitchen or from frozen and the owner said if I wanted cut fries, he'd cut them. They were awesome! Drinks came from the cooler and since I never get any dessert because they're all made with whey, I picked mine from the snack aisle on the store side. Works for me. :)

    Excellent food!!

Love this little store! It's very cute, country and down home style. And everyone knows the famous Hooshburgers are fantastic :)

The HooshBurger is the go-to item here, but I'm sure most anything on this short menu would be good.

The decor in the second room feels as if you have walked into a Victorian parlor with a mix of speakeasy. I loved the art which was from local artist and available to purchase! The service was great. Our server was attentive as much as she could be. It was really busy but our order was taken quickly, our food came out pretty fast, and we were checked in on a couple of times so no complaints! They have an area where they sit out 4 different kinds of coffee (including their house blend and a decaf) that is called their endless cup. Once seated, you can walk over and serve yourself (sweeteners and creamer are there as well) so no need to wait if you need some coffee! I think it was just 65 cents. I also ordered one of their special seasonal iced coffees as well. My boyfriend got a seasonal match drink. All of them including their signature blend of coffee are delicious! The food was awesome. We got the spicy cheese grits loaded with eggs, veggies, and bacon. A huge platter! A berry stuffed pancake and a biscuit as well. Everything was scrumptious! I loved that the berries were stuffed into the pancake and not just on top. The spicy cheese grits did have a kick to them! We shared all of the items and both agreed everything was delicious! Definitely a place I will return to on my next visit!!

The space itself is pretty neat, and the service was friendly. Unfortunately, the drinks were a major letdown. The espresso was just okay, but my iced sugar-free caramel latte was downright awful--overly sweet, overloaded with milk, and completely lacking any coffee flavor. It was so unbalanced that I couldn't finish it.

The Wife and I eased into Siloam Springs the way a mule eases down a mountain trail -- deliberate,…read moredignified, and carrying more curiosity than luggage. Two pups in tow, tails waggin' like they'd just heard supper bell ring twice, we found ourselves settlin' onto Broad Street, perched on one of those old brick corners that looks like it's seen more stories than a church pew on revival Sunday. Locals out front welcomed us the way small towns always should -- friendly, opinionated, and quick with recommendations. "Biscuits and gravy," they said with the confidence of folks who don't recommend lightly and definitely don't apologize for gravy. Outdoor seating sits right on that historic downtown bend, the kind of spot where time slows down and conversations meander like a creek after spring rain. Pet friendly? Friend, they didn't just tolerate the pups -- the staff made rounds like a county fair judge inspectin' prized livestock, offering scratches, compliments, and a few heartfelt dog discussions that ran deeper than most city council meetings. Now let's discuss the tea and coffee situation, because this is where I knew we'd struck honest ground. I overheard a first-day trainee (doing better than most third-year professionals, mind you) being instructed in the sacred ratios of a proper cappuccino: 2 oz espresso, 2 oz steamed milk, 2 oz foam. Praise be to the saints of crema and microfoam -- somebody in these hills still understands a cappuccino is not meant to arrive in a vessel large enough to baptize a raccoon. No vat-o-latte foolishness here. Food arrived quicker than gossip spreads at a quilting circle, and mercy... it did not disappoint. The breakfast biscuit sandwich stood tall and proud like a well-built fence post -- sturdy, dependable, and doing exactly what a biscuit sandwich ought to do. The biscuits and sausage gravy? Smooth as a fiddle tune drifting across foggy ridgelines. Balanced, rich, and comforting enough to make a grown man reconsider his afternoon productivity. I did briefly flirt with the open-faced avocado toast -- looked respectable, like it had spent time reading labels at Whole Foods -- but I stayed loyal to the biscuits and gravy. Some decisions are guided not by curiosity but by heritage. And then... chocolate gravy appeared on the menu. Friends, chocolate gravy is one of those old Appalachian traditions that feels like it was discovered accidentally during a blizzard and then protected like family lore ever since. Sweet, warm, nostalgic, and just rebellious enough to make nutritionists squint suspiciously. Cafe On Broad feels like the culinary equivalent of finding a front porch rocker that fits just right -- welcoming, unpretentious, and quietly confident in what it does well. If you find yourself wanderin' through Siloam Springs with a little time and a healthy appetite, pull in slow, bring the dogs, and order something with gravy. Preferably more than one gravy. It's what the mountains would want.

It's worth coming down to the square, parking and walking in. I got a homemade square biscuit sandwich with fried egg-perfection--no brown bits, they were out of sausage so they put bacon and I'm so glad they did!! Best bacon ever--none of this store bought stuff!! Swiss cheese and i went for the Rosemary jam. With my coffee, the only thing that could have been better would have been a cozy fire to sit by!! Excellent place out of the way and worth it!! The service was great wonderful and they were very kind in every way.
