Someone needs to relate the fact that they are not doing anyone a favor. Rather they perform work in exchange for compensation as employees. This is a clear failure of leadership to hold individuals accountable for their lack of professional etiquette and decorum in the workplace. From the receptionist Tanya to their nurses Albert and Paul, I suggest you avoid this office because they cannot seem to bother to execute simple follow-ups and tasks. I hope the latter two are much better nurses than their interpersonal skills indicate may be the case. You do not have to settle for such poor care. This office needs to do better. HMO and Kaiser Permanente were forced on me due to life circumstance. I've never seen an organization that is more scripted or robotic as is this location of Kaiser. As a whole they show zero empathy to my individual medical needs. In the three or four years I have been with them I have changed doctor's three times and will have to change again for my next visit. Here are a few highlighted problems: 1) twice I have left a very important message(s) about a health concern and both times it was unanswered. Last time was a serious bladder infection. I had to schedule a phone interview and an in-person appointment to address my concerns and get the proper care. This is in addition to my first appointment. I waited on a huge battery of tests all of which were somewhat confusing and never explained. Instead, I received a totally unrelated phone call from the doctor's nurse. That call was asking me to add a medication that you cannot ever stop and can lead to type 2 diabetes. The doctor should have contacted me directly. 2) Kaiser actively pushes (and I mean pushes) multiple vaccinations. Like poor salesmen, the door greater and others will randomly come up to you and ask you if you want a shot for flu or covid. How about leaving that for the doctor to ask me in private? You know why? My doctor suggested to forego the shots. 3) the pharmacist in one word is unhelpful. I can count on one hand how many times I needed a pharmacist to go over my medications. This lady was mean and unable to give a good answer. I gave her an important question regarding drug and food interaction and she seemed both annoyed and ill equipped to give an educated answer. 4) the waiting rooms are a cattle call. I don't think I need to elaborate much on this point. You may as well be at DMV. 5) the complaint process for KP.org is awful and meant to discourage someone taking the time to report an issue. Again, this company doesn't want to hear it and there is no desire to improve service. 5) Kaiser will not allow you to contact and follow up with a doctor that was part of a phone or video appointment. This is a big one. I should be able to contact the doctor from a phone appointment if the medicine I was prescribed didn't work. Also, I asked this particular doctor to arrange a lab that never was arranged. I could continue with additional complaints like co-pays and how scripted some of the doctors are, but I will leave on a positive note. I found a great doctor here. One that overcame most of the obstacles KP has placed in the way. He retired though and I have to find a suitable replacement. I was referred to another doctor and was refused service due to the fact she is not adding patients.

While being admitted I could not eat & had been waiting for a specific doctor to come in & speak to me regarding the issues. Every time I would call a nurse with the call button , no one would pick up & not one nurse would come to the room to help me use the restroom. I kept asking my nurses when I would be discharged or what was going on with me & every time I would ask a nurse what was wrong with me, I would get a different story or receive the answer, "uhmmmmmm, let me check & get back to you" but did they ever get back to me about my results about ANY tests?!?! NO. Also while being admitted they changed my diet & they ended up giving me something I could not eat, NO ONE asked me about my allergies about food or what I did or do not eat. I could not receive a new or different plate, so I did not eat. Next time I will count my blessings about being healthy before I ever step foot in this place again. Plus, PIH while being admitted there they give you a box to keep yourself clean containing, bath clothes, toothpastes, toothbrush, shampoo & conditioner. Not one time did this place ask if I wanted to get clean. Ew
